Cats looked like I thought they would last night. A little raw. I am really looking forward to these guys becoming a total team.

We, as fans, have to be hugely proud of these kids.
We all know Pat is a great ambassador.
Daniel was top shelf from day one.
John Hood is a good ole Kentucky boy.
And now seeing Eric and John Wall being so congenial
it makes me think we have a very well mannered group of kids.
I would rather lose with players like these than to win Vols.

Corso just picked Vandy to beat UK. So. Things look good for the Cats.

I was pleased with the win last night over Morehead. Consider this, we had built a 24 pt lead over the best OVC team and a NCAA tourney team returning 4 starters, that hung around with UL last year in the tourney. We all know UL was good last year. And, we did this without:
#1. John Wall - our best player perhaps. He will make everyone better.
#2. First real game for these kids to start playing together.
#3. We faced a sagging Morehead zone the entire game. This is the D against the cats we all worry about.
#4. We shot poorly from outside at only 4-19.
#5. We had 24 TOs to Moreheads 12. Sloppy with the ball.
#6. Cousins could not get going due to foul trouble.
#7. Morehead got away with a lot of physical play while the Cats seem to get whistled for touch fouls.
#8. No Jon Hood who may be our best perimter threat. I think he is capble of playing the wing and knocking down 3s if we get zoned.
I do see a team capable of reaching the final 4 but we are not going to destroy ever opponent this year. But we will be a lot better than last year.
