Its that time folks…..time to get ready for the football season to begin. Along those lines, we want you to predict the final score of the UK-EKU game Use the comments section below and the winner will be able to come on the air with us next week and pick games and will receive a prize package that includes an autograph from the Turkey Hunter…..so you know thats good! Whoever is the closest is the winner, so have at it……and ties will be broken by anyone that gives the most accurate description of the game with their prediction.

Neither team does much offensively for the entire 1st quarter, although UK attempts and misses a field goal. UK gets rolling in the 2nd quarter with much passing and two TDs and a made field goal. Halftime passes slowly as the UK Band parades some 1950’s era tunes that we’ve all heard before, making most of the crowd at Commonwealth vaguely uneasy as subtle memories of years past parade through bourbon-numbed brains… Third quarter, UK scores quickly as Woodson finds his timing and the O line makes some needed corrections, totally handling EKUs over matched D line. Finally, the 2nd string begins to filter in and we see a look at Hartline, who quickly fumbles a snap. EKU takes advantage of this for 2 quick scores, but the 2nd string eventually comes together defensively and shuts EKU down until late in the 4th quarter where they make a field goal in the last 2 minutes…

UK 45 EKU 13. I believe that Andre Woodson will start off his heisman campaign with a big day throwing for 318 yards and 4 touchdown passes. Also, UK’s defense will produce 3 turnovers and will look fairly sharp throughout.

UK 43 EKU 9. The crowd of 58,277 gets drenched by a downpour shortly after kickoff. After a lightning delay of 35 minutes, we score on a R. Little 12 yd. run. On EKU’s first pass attempt, Lindley intercepts and returns it for a TD. The contest is done quickly from there as EKU only manages 3 drives ending in FG’s. We rush for 255. Pass for 178. Late in the game, the entire section 204 is ejected for what is deemed “lewd conduct and innuendo”, but the undercover officer will change that to simply “shocking drunkenness” when pressed.

Kentucky starts big with a Keenan Burton TD, and Dicky Lyons catches another. EKU goes scoreless the first half. They finally score toward the end of 3rd quarter but miss the extra point. A FG in the 4th gets them their final score. Rafael Little runs 2 TD’s in in the 2nd half, while Burton catches a second TD, and Woodson carries the final TD at beginning of 4th. Hartline comes in at end of 4th quarter but doesn’t score. Defense is overall much improved.
