Little off subject, but what is up with Liggins?
November 4th, 2009 at 10:11 pm
My opinion only but something has to be wrong with Liggins….something like he ticked Cal off or did something he shouldn’t have done.
There is absolutely no reason he didn’t even play a single minute other than he ticked off Cal…..he wasn’t hurt…..
This is probably something which happened and everyone is just keeping it quiet…..will be interesting to see how it unfolds or if it turns
out to be nothing.

Am I the ONLY one…but, losing so many recruits this early has to be hurting our potential to pick up others?
November 4th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
I do think it’s odd that there hasn’t been more than one commit. What really stinks is watching the Yankees “BUY” another World Series Championship. Give them the Reds payroll and see how they do with that.

4 - kearney is rated like #90 by rivals, not a huge loss. cal will get who we need.
November 4th, 2009 at 10:53 pm
4 - i would also losing so many recruits early doesn’t affect potential to get others later at all, maybe the opposite.
if we were stockpiling commitments early, nobody would commit late.
November 4th, 2009 at 10:54 pm
but i agree, i hate seeing other schools getting all the guys UK was interested in…irving, payne, now this guy.
November 4th, 2009 at 11:00 pm
I’m not worried about recruits yet… I trust in Cal 100% in that department. I do really hope we get Tobias Harris though, he looks like he has Orton-like work ethic. Maybe he can go with him back to Hell’s Trainer next summer. We can start a pipeline there… certainly wouldn’t hurt!
November 4th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
9 - agreed, i really hope we can land tobias.
November 4th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
Sorry guys…didn’t mean to say that I didn’t trust Cal…however, with his ‘boasts’ that we can get who we want…it’s not working that way. Now, with a Selby, Lamb, Harris, etc. commitments…I’d feel much better. Cal has raised the bar so high with this class that he might not be able to keep up…guess we’ll just have to be content with who we get. HaHa…it’s still better than than Billy Clyde’s choices!
November 4th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
Plus, I think we’re sitting well with 2011 recruits (Gilchrist!). We can’t have the number one class every year. That would just be too ridic!
November 4th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
BTW- I was fortunate to watch Orton play in HS (my youngest was in his class)…BBN, you aren’t going to believe this kid…he is, not only a great athlete, but, a great young man who has his head ’straight’ and be a wonderful representative of the University.
November 4th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
11 - exactly right…i felt same way after cal first came. he said he came here and we could get the best of the best…if we get selby and/or knight/lamb and harris
then he will be the man.
don’t knock clyde too much though, he did bring is PPat.
November 4th, 2009 at 11:22 pm
Touche #14…PPat was a real save (after Tubby)…and treaure for certain.
November 4th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
15- And PPat wouldn’t have been back this year if BCG was still here, without ever playing in the big dance.
November 4th, 2009 at 11:41 pm
#16- Totally agree…soooooooo sad that Barnfart is still our AD…didn’t even vet Billy Clyde! What a waste of two years of exciting basketball!
November 5th, 2009 at 12:02 am
Idiots, Clyde got us Ppat, Miller, Orton and he had Bledsoe locked up as well. I don’t agree with all he did but he left UK with much more talent than he inherited. He also had Ferguson coming next year, the guy worked his ass off recruiting for UK. Also an FYI off topic….Chuck Hayes had 14 points and 14 rebounds vs the Lakers tonight. There is a great guy and representative for UK. WAY TO GO CHUCK.
November 5th, 2009 at 12:10 am
The Yankees won the World Series…I absolutely hate the Yankees but that does mean we have a good chance of winning a National Championship now.
November 5th, 2009 at 12:10 am
18 - didn’t bledsoe say he would have gone to FL had gillispie still been here?
November 5th, 2009 at 12:20 am
20-Bledsoe would have went to Florida had Gillispie still been here.
November 5th, 2009 at 12:37 am
Bledsoe would have went to Florida and who would have blamed him?
November 5th, 2009 at 12:49 am
18- So when no one knew what kind of coach BCG was going to be, only a year under his belt, apparently he could talk himself up really well… so?
November 5th, 2009 at 1:29 am
Ugh. Made me click on a Tipton link. I refuse to willingly give that sad sack a hit.
November 5th, 2009 at 7:05 am
One reason we are not getting committs is because our current roster is loaded. Recruits have to anticipate that Patterson, Wall,Cousins will turn pro, so even if they do, we have a lot of talent still left at virtually every position and it sounds like we are in good position with CJ Leslie and he has some talent.
November 5th, 2009 at 7:49 am
Would you PLEASE put Tipton’s name next to his links so I’ll know and can avoid them. Thanks..
