Lost in the Halloween weekend shuffle was some pretty dismal news out of Louisville. No, it wasn’t that the Filthy Cards were only 1.5 point favorites over Arkansas State, but rather that only a shade over 21,000 showed up for the game. Considering that during the 2006 Orange Bowl season they were averaging 42,000 a game, we can see just how far Little Brother has fallen.
Could this be the final death knell for Krag? While it’s hard to tell what Jurich is thinking, you have got to think that moving from taking hits in the win column to taking hits in the pocketbook won’t sit well. Saturday was the smallest crowd in the history of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium and to compare, schools that routinely had 21,000 show up on Saturdays last year included Houston, Louisiana-Lafayette, Arkansas St., Colorado St., and San Jose State.
Yes, things are bad in Louisville. My buddy Sean parked his car downtown Louisville to grab a bite to eat before the game. He made a pretty boneheaded mistake, though, by leaving his tickets to the Cards game in plain sight on his dash so it wasn’t really a surprise when he came back and found his window smashed. Expecting his tickets gone, he looked inside and was surprised to find two more tickets, right beside his.
Ok, so that didn’t really happen. But you’ll be telling that one around the water cooler today, won’t you?

This was an ok post. Didn’t make me laugh very hard but it was a nice effort. I don’t know if you’ll make it to the next round though.

Great foresight to expand the stadium on a sand foundation.

Why is the poll on the right asking for a grade for Campbellsville’s performance? Who cares? Let’s rate the Cats’ performance.

Why even sit in your assigned seat? Of course with how miserable the cards play it probably looks a little better from the top of the stadium lol

I heard the real reason Freedom Hall practice was cancelled Sunday was that it was under renovation to play host to UL Football games next year ……

Who knows anyone with a pocketbook? Also, the ol “trying to give away but someone gives their ticket to you” gag is really funny.
