1) Sometimes when you actually study the AP poll, you see that there are many people in that profession who are morons.  John Clay is the Kentucky voter, and he is NOT a moron.  He has a fairly solid ballot.  He does have LSU higher (4th) than ANY other voter, and he has TCU (12th) lower than ANY other voter.  But, all in all, its solid.  But, then you look at guys like Mike Hlas, who puts TEMPLE in the Top 25.  And then there is Ray Ratto, who writes for the paper in the craziest city in America, San Francisco.  Don’t believe me?  He put RICHMOND, a 1-AA team, in his Top 25.  RICHMOND!!!!  Who’s to say he can’t put them #1 in next week’s poll.  Basic point: time for a playoff.

2) Could Oregon be one of the two best teams in the country?  After watching what they did to USC this weekend, I am starting to think so.  And now it looks like Boise St. may jump back ahead of TCU in the non-BCS team buster.  Hell, I say let them both in the BCS and then match them up.  That would be cool, in my opinion.

3) I haven’t posted a good “emo biker dude breaking his face” video is a long time.  So, to make up for this delay, I give you two people breaking their faces at once.  Because nothing says “good idea” like riding on the back of a bike with a shirtless guy over a ramp.  Sorry, those people get what they deserve.

4) Check out this excerpt from Tim Donaghy’s book.  If you don’t remember, he is the ref who admitted to betting on games he officiated.  In this particular account, Donaghy and his fellow refs placed a bet on who would be the last to call a foul, thus leading to them calling NO FOULS for the first 9 minutes of a game.

5) Tragic, or maybe not so tragic, news out of Los Angeles this weekend

Yes to cute chicks with red arrows pointing to them.

  2. Indycatfan Says:

    That was FKING HILARIOUS

  3. Blueyouaway Says:

I thought it was the guys toupee at first…..

It appears he is using the girl to get a ball tossed his way.

  4. JMBlue Says:

It is nice to see that Tim Donaghy seems actually proud of his actions. I hope this book is published as well. I also hope that not one copy is sold so the publisher and Tim go broke. Donaghy is like Conseco, except Conseco seems to have more character. Never thought I would say anything like that.

  5. dhwildcats10 Says:

Oregon in the top 2? Seriously? Have you not thought that USC was overrated? USC wasn’t on the level of Ole Miss overrated but they were overrated, nonetheless.

  6. Blueyouaway Says:

BTI, The bet was first to call a foul, not last. Get your facts straight Tipton Jr. ….LOL

  7. the ghost of Bill Hicks Says:

I would love to read the Donaghy book. People bagged on Canseco, but you know what, if you want to know about steroids, you talk to a user. And if you want to know about dirty refs, guess what, you talk to a dirty ref. Donaghy may not be the most upstanding citizen, but if it weren’t completely obvious that the NBA refs dictate games and give preferential treatment to players(and aren’t held accountable for any of their horrible calls), this book wouldn’t be an issue.

Hate to say I told you so….. ahahahahahah

  9. secretagent0014 Says:

What’s worse the glove or the sports coat over a tshirt?

  10. Blueyouaway Says:

He looks like the dude from Seinfeld..

  11. JMBlue Says:

7- You make a valid point. I just hate it when scumbags profit from their crimes.

  12. NashvilleCats Says:

    4. I think you do bring up a good point. Everyone just assumes that Donaghy has no credibility in what he’s saying about the NBA. That reaction is very similar to what Canseco experienced when he started making all of his allegations. As it turns out, Canseco was dead on with what he was saying, even if he is a slimeball. Because of that, I don’t think people can just totally blow off what Donaghy is saying.

  13. ukslamdunk Says:

Is that a glove or his hair toupee?

  14. Blueyouaway Says:

    13) See 3… I thought the same thing.

  15. gossie21 Says:

BTI you do realize that the AP Poll is not considered in the BCS formula right? I agree (as does everyone with a pulse) that NCAA football needs a playoff. But citing AP voting irregularities is not one of the reasons.

  16. calipeari Says:

The two guys beside the cute girl look like identical twins

  17. TOMPAV83 Says:

I for one think Donaghy’s book would be incredibly interesting, if you read the excerpts released(courtesy of deadspin and with leather) it is eye opening and there isn’t too much he says that seems like a stretch. The guy bet on plenty of games where he wasn’t officiating, what does that say? He wasn’t the only one controlling games.

  18. BLAINE-MAN Says:

When you ask “SHOULD GROWN MEN WEAR GLOVES TO BASEBALL GAMES?” you mean condoms, then I would say yes. Grown men should wear condoms to games.
