- Over on his blog, Tom Leach chats with Jeremy Jarmon, who returned to UK on his NFL bye week and gives his video scouting report on the Bulldogs.
- The SEC website previews the game.
- The always well-dressed Chip Cosby says that the UK-Mississippi State game has developed into a rivalry as both teams aim for bow eligibility. He also rund down some more UK football notes including the return of DoubleJJ199 and a 59-yard field goal from commitment Joe Mansour.
- And, as usual, Cosby also has a great position-by-position breakdown of each team.
- Brett Dawson at the Courier-Journal analyzes the game that has become pivotal to each team’s season over the past few years. And he mixes in a Michael Jackson headline, tipping off his costume. Jamone!
- The Clarion-Ledger says that Mississippi State is looking for more than moral victories for their improved play. They hope that means a win today.
- Ken Howlett at A Sea of Blue runs down his Mississippi State preview.
- Rick Cleveland of The Clarion-Ledger says that, like we’ve heard with Rich Brooks every year, these are the games that Dan Mullen must win in order to find success as the Bulldogs’ coach.
- Tony Barnhart of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution picks the Cats to win today by 7. I agree.
- The SEC website says that the telecast will include a special appearance from John Calipari, do don’t forget to tune in to Fox Sports. They poop ice cream! From Paducah to Pikeville!

I heard something about Meeks being deactivated by the Bucks. His decision to leave early is beginning to look bad. His pay, although good is only $650K. By far the lowest pay on the roster (see link). After fees and taxes we might be talking about a net of maybe $350K. He left college early for $350K. That is a shame. He is the one missing peace that could have put the Cats over the top this year.

Jodie has a 2-year guaranteed contract and plenty of time to improve and prove himself in the NBA. I fully understand his decision to leave 1 year early, especially condsidering all the shit he went through his last 2 years here. We have plenty of talent and depth at guard to worry about what might have been.

Man, it would suck to only make $30,000 per month. That’s only about $1,000 per day base pay, not including any endorsments or appearences or anything.
Must be awful, and my heart truly goes out to anyone in this terrible condition.

And Beisner, thanks for the “rund” down of these two teams, as they both struggle for “bow” eligibility.
