[Moderated by Matt Jones]

I will have more on this later tonight in a post at 9 pm, but for now its suffice to say this. Dont panic or worry about the Forde/O Neill story. The issue of Wall’s eligibility has been one that UK has known about for some time and is not anything new. I will go into some detail later as the exact issue it is kind of interesting, but for fan purposes, there is little to worry about. UK is confident that the matter will be taken care of soon. This will either be a matter of either (a) no problem or (b) the payment back of some money used to front expenses for college visits by an AAU coach that was also registered as an agent. Either way, everyone I have spoken with believes he will be able to play.
One last note…while I dont think this is a big deal at all, it furthers what we have said before. When I wrote about this on the live blog Monday night, many other message boards had people yelling that I was an idiot and had no clue what I was talking about, simply because the news was bad. In the end, I am confident Wall will be eligible and play at Kentucky. But just because news is bad and not what you hope, doesnt mean it is wrong.
Tonight at 8 pm, I will be on WHAS 840 AM, to talk about this issue with Lachlan Mclean. Check it out

Is this the same aau coach that is now an assistant at Baylor?????

from what I am hearing, this has no impact UK/Calipari at all … Wall would miss maximum 10% of season .. my guess is it goes away completely when small amount of money is cleared up

was this the big national story that had been in the works?

I think the Forde hate is a bit overblown, but is it at all surprising that he crawled out from under his rock to write this story? In light of his past conduct, it certainly adds to the “he’s got an unhealthy, unprofessional vendetta against Cal” meme.

I don’t get why it takes so long for these decisions. This is something that should be resolved before lunch on the day it was uncovered.

Good news or bad news, it doesn’t matter if you are reporting what you believe is true. It’s called “credibility”. I appreciate you keeping it real Matt.

I doubt it, sethicus, but I do wonder whatever happened to that story?
October 22nd, 2009 at 6:28 pm
Sources say Forde and O’Neil are doing it.

6.) As Memphis fans will gladly tell you, Jeff Goodman is writing that story and it involves tampering with CJ Henry while he was at Memphis.
Methinks their full of it, but who knows…

Dear Mr. Forde:
Which costs more, John Wall’s reimbursement or Rick Pitino’s “health insurance” plan? (Gee, it feels good to vent!)
October 22nd, 2009 at 6:51 pm
The idiots are out on the espn board. The we told you cal was dirty is already being run into the ground. The problem is. If his aau coach had his choice. He would be playing for duke. This also happened during the Billy mistake (I can’t Call it an era. It doesn’t deserve too).

Hey Matt, I always believed you…good job on knowing what was coming down the pike….you are the man!
Help! Could someone please tell me why no one else on John Wall’s team with that coach, is being reported about..I know that there has to have been other good players on that team….Anyone know of any???

13) I think he should give the award back. I heard he lost his amateur status in that category by joining the professionals at ESPN.
October 22nd, 2009 at 7:26 pm
Fu%k Pat Forde. Yep, I think it was him at Porcini’s sucking Ricky P’s dick.

23- Oh wait frosty was telling everyone Tuesday night how not only was Irving not committing to Duke, he wouldn’t even be committing this week. Looks like KSR has the best track record of not being bathsh*t insane.

23- Do you ever have anything decent to say? You don’t have to be an Ass every day you know. Take a day off now and then.
October 22nd, 2009 at 8:40 pm
Wow I didnt know this about Forde, so now I have figured out what he is suck a UK hater and Calipari hater. He used to write for the Courier Journal before goin to ESPN. That explains everything. I guess I can respect that a little more since he used to work out our rival city, but he’s still a douche bag.

When I see Pat Forde, I’m going to punch him and his mama right in the mouth!!!
