I heard that song on the radio on my way to Madness with my daughter & I told her I bet it would be played at Madness. She couldn’t believe it when the Intro came on & that was it….
I can really picture Matt’s mop floppin around to this song!!! lol Video is Sweeeeeeet!!!! Song will be dated soon, but who cares. Nobody will remember or care about the song after 40 minutes of domination at Rupp!!!
UK fans are so annoying at times. It’s a f*ckin’ intro video that is almost completely irrelevant, yet you’re gonna complain about it. When the first few bars kicked in at Madness, the place erupted. It’s all about time/place. Do I walk around listening to this on my iPod? No. But paired with UK highlights and clips? Heck yes. And it’s fun/enjoyable.
Same can be said for the song they used in Mr. Wildcat’s tribute video re the song itself.

We loved the video. LOVED it. It could ave been just the pics without sound and we would have loved it. But that song is horrible. It is. It really REALLY is. All we’re saying is, why not a different song? You’re telling me that’s the ONLY song they had the ability to use? That’s it, no more songs? The video was a nice sirloin steak. But with different music, it’s filet mignon.

Anyway I liked the song “I got a Feeling” it fit the mood that everyone was in I think “Tonights gonna be a Good Good night!!” Hyped me up! Loved the video! GO BIG BLUE!!!

If there is anything you can fault those of us who cringe at the site of this being our intro video, it is that we are perfecitonist. The transition to Cal has been seamless and executed to near perfection so far. But if the program is going with this as the intro video, it is a misstep for sure. When you are getting ready for player intros, you want intense upbeat music. You want intimidation. You want build up to a climax (that’s what she said). I think of my youth hockey team coming out to welcome to the jungle. Even better, the Bulls 90s intro music (that I believe we used for a while too and since then it’s been awful). What the f*ck is this sing-song bull? I would expect to hear something like this before the circus or some family affair. In other words, it’s too friendly. Need something with some bite. I can’t believe they had a chance to fix it and we just keep replacing one crappy intro song with another (of course I agree the video is great). You might not agree, but there was a reason that Madness intros were so hype, and part of that was the instrumental of the eminem and nate dogg song. It was up beat, aggressive, angry almost. But I’m not saying it has to be hiphop even—gimme some white stripes, etc. (and many of the jock jams are classic rock of course). OK im done ranting, but if this is what we play before games, it is laughable to say the least.
