Quick post for all of those that were wondering:
A. Is Tim Couch in Training Camp yet? YES
B. What does he look like in Jaguar colors? About the same, only in Jaguar colors
C. Will he get to wear number 2? YES–begin preparing signs begging Jags coach Jack Of The River to “Turn the Deuce Loose”
D. Will he wear a black sweatband on his right arm? YES
and
E. When he takes the field will he attempt to confuse the defense by wearing a full-length ball gown. Apparently NO
Also, Happy Birthday to Tim as he turns 30 today. It was a well-known fact in Leslie County that he just missed (by hours) having an extra year of Little League Baseball as Little League’s dividing line was August 1. If his moms had held on a little longer might we have seen Tim hurling fastballs?

Good Luck Tim
July 31st, 2007 at 10:25 am
Looks like he is in good shape. Hope he has some good luck this time, as he deserves it.
July 31st, 2007 at 10:25 am
Gosh Timmy is getting old (for a football player anyway). wonder how he’s doing in training camp?
July 31st, 2007 at 10:29 am
Who do you think will have more success this season, Couch or Lorenzen?
July 31st, 2007 at 10:29 am
good facts J.C.
“Jack of the River.” It’s clear now that Espanol was one of your three majors.
July 31st, 2007 at 10:31 am
Couch will end up being the next Rich Gannon…picked up off the scrap heap and inserted as starting QB, turning into a MVP caliber player and making it to the Super Bowl..wishful thinking anyway. Good luck Timmy.
July 31st, 2007 at 10:34 am
Couch is still reeling from the home loss to Middlesboro his senior year in basektball…..it has stuck with him for quite some time
July 31st, 2007 at 10:35 am
6, it would be pretty cool if that was the case!
July 31st, 2007 at 10:43 am
The fact is that Leslie County didn’t win because I was languishing on the bench as a sophomore.
So what if our other players were “better than me”.
Also, no one could stop T. Walters.
Man, if I could go back in time…I know we’d take state for sure.
July 31st, 2007 at 10:49 am
Good for Tim. Been watching him since he was in high school, coming to Belfry a couple of times, most notably his senior year. He left the field bleeding, but he still beat us. You know Belfry, right Matt? The place MIddlesboro goes to die every year in the playoffs? HAHAHA
July 31st, 2007 at 10:49 am
Yea, If coach had put me in, in the 4 quarter my whole life would have been different.
July 31st, 2007 at 10:49 am
And lets not forget about one High School Algebra teacher named DJ Sharpe…..he had the moves as well….and there was a guy on the end of the bench with goggles and a hooded sweatshirt who had a thing to do with it also
July 31st, 2007 at 10:52 am
Didn’t Tim Couch visit Hoptown once? I do believe that is when his career “jumped the shark”.
July 31st, 2007 at 11:09 am
How much you wanna bet Tim Couch could throw the football a quarter mile? Hell, he could throw a football clear over that mountain over there. For the record
July 31st, 2007 at 11:21 am
Looks like Tim has finally beefed up his arms. He could have a good 5 years left
July 31st, 2007 at 11:24 am
Tim Couch probably spends his evenings in his Hot Top with his soulmate.

It’s good to see him back on a team. It’s pretty sad when the #1 pick flops like he did, but he cant help he got his leg broke. I hope he gets a chance to prove himself and makes good of UK football.
July 31st, 2007 at 11:41 am
Tim did not have a chance with an expansion team…shit…no offensive line…0 protection…and he got the crap knocked out of him multiple times every game for the Browns.
I am sure he will actually have a better chance now…if healthy…
July 31st, 2007 at 11:42 am
He looks like he is in really good shape. I dont think Ive ever seen him in that condition. If his health holds up I think he could make some noise.
July 31st, 2007 at 11:58 am
I played against Couch once in a tournament at Shelby Valley High in ‘94. Dang that’s a LONG, LONG time ago!

#7 - So we can assume “Vanilla Thunder” had yet to matriculate to Transy?
July 31st, 2007 at 12:26 pm
Hoptown only beat the LC because it’s football team served as a hybrid work-release/halfway house
for the penitentiary in Eddyville. That and sun was in Leslie County’s collective eyes the entire
day…and it was snowing…and Williams’ leg hurt a little.
Only later would Hoptown-Leslie County relations improve to a point where two natives could
peacefully dominate two girls in doubles tennis!
Also D.J. Sharpe was a force, although I found it odd that he insisted on not only wearing a hat
during the game, but changing into a new one every quarter.
And I seem to remember that kid on the end of the M’boro bench, but in my mind he is wearing a
button-up shirt, a bow-tie, and has an accordion for some reason.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:29 pm
mosley did you play baseball in high school and college? If so I played against you in both.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:41 pm
Tim’s up to 245# and he looks buffed to me. Supposedly, he’s in the best shape of his life. He sure deserves a chance after all the punishment he took in Cleveland.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:47 pm
SouthBeachWildcat,
I did. Where did you ball?
July 31st, 2007 at 12:49 pm
Knott Central and Oakland City University…..We played you guys at transy, I think my freshman year.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:51 pm
I remember you. If I’m not mistaken your initials are CC? Is that right?
July 31st, 2007 at 1:04 pm
yep thats me……….i miss the glory days!
July 31st, 2007 at 1:24 pm
look at the guns!! he’s never had that kind of beef in the arms. has he had a full day of throwing? if so, how was his arm the next day?
July 31st, 2007 at 2:21 pm
30) Heard an interview with him on the radio about a week ago. Said he was throwing 2-4 hrs a day with no shoulder problems. Also said he was 245 lbs with 6% body fat as opposed to his last season with cleveland 235lbs and 13% body fat.
July 31st, 2007 at 4:05 pm
Couch certainly looks good and in shape. His arms seem bigger than what they used to be, at least in the interview I saw of him. I wish him NOTHING but the very best!
July 31st, 2007 at 4:47 pm
He’s hot! Glad he’s back.
July 31st, 2007 at 6:41 pm
Tim got a raw deal at Cleveland, and it’s hard to get your pass efficiency numbers up while you’re sitting on your ass after a linebacker comes in and clobbers you. Tim indeed said that he is in the best shape of his life, and I hope to God he gets a chance to shine.
August 1st, 2007 at 10:31 am
I don’t know about fastballs, but as a kid I saw Tim play several basketball games at LCHS and boy could he hoop. He was a freak athlete in HS and was truly a man among kids.
August 9th, 2007 at 1:48 pm
Being from eastern KY I am glad for Tim Couch that he is trying to get back in the league. blah blah blah. But as a die hard Jags fan, this is something that we don’t want. Del Rio is just going to use him so he can throw to Leftwich and Gerrard anyway.
