  6. demoCrAT Says:

matt, who is the chick in the middle. damn, she is ugly

  7. TulsaCat Says:

Is that Carrot Top or an old pic of Sammy Hagar? Or has Bette Midler let herself go?

  8. BennyBooBoo Says:

Looks like Old Man Brooks lost another kid today with Lex Cath’s Winston Guy officially commiting
to Arkansas. Football recruiting flat out stinks. It was better 2 and 3 years ago than last
year and how this year is starting out.

  9. TulsaCat Says:

“…It was better 2 and 3 years ago than last
year and how this year is starting out.”

Wonder if this has anything to do with Joker becoming OC and not recruiting as much?

  10. ZW Says:

8&9)The apologists will jump your case, but, I for one, am not optimistic or encouraged with what I’ve seen so far regarding football recruiting. I think giving Sanders the recruiting coordinator spot was a major mistake. Hope I’m shown to be wrong.

  11. ricdix Says:

You sure thats not Shaun White?

  12. wildcatmatt Says:

How many beers did it take for you to actually want a picture with her Matt????

  13. wildcatmatt Says:

When i walked in….that girl sure was ugly. She musta put on some makeup in the bathroom. Right after I had that shot of Tequila.

  14. Daniel from the Mall Says:

    Chip Taylor is gay

  15. Macon_Volfan Says:

    RIP Bill Walsh

  17. Mswildcat Says:

#17-Go Away! Cal Ripken is my hero. I got his autograph on his second to last game ever! He walked right over to my section after the game and you could hear a pin drop with how respectful everyone was with him.

  18. GummyBear Says:

Sad to see that about Bill Walsh - he built a true dynasty in San Fran in the 80s.

  19. deWildcats Says:

UK football has very few scholarships this year thus some in-state talent will not be recruited very hard. Good Luck in Arkansas Winston!!!

  20. SAECATFAN Says:

    “Chip Taylor is gay”

Yep, word is that he and Johnny Bruce are in a serious relationship. I wish them the best.

  21. BigShooter Says:

time to move Joker back to recruiting coordinator.

  22. payne Says:

he looks like you guys are holding him at gunpoint to get the picture.

“i refuse to look up but i will chunk the deuce for you. please leave me alone.”

  23. THE SEC Maniac Says:

Matt, I cant wait for the Phil Steele interview. He needs to backup his prediction for the Cats this year. I understand that he is big on turnover margin being lucky for the Cats last year but that doesnt validate a team which is returning virtually everything from an 8-5 season to fall to last in the SEC East this year. People say look at the schedule but the schedule isnt that bad.

  24. THE SEC Maniac Says:

continued….Arkansas is WAY OVERRATED! There are a lot of winnable games on the schedule that are TOUGH but WINNABLE.

  25. THE SEC Maniac Says:

My prediction is 7-5 this season for the CATS +/- two games.

    GUARANTEED LOSSES
    LSU
    GEORGIA
    FLORIDA

    SWING GAMES
    TENNESSEE
    SOUTH CAROLINA
    ARKANSAS
    LOUISVILLE

    LOCKS
    EKU
    KENT STATE
    VANDY
    MISS STATE
    FLORIDA ATLANTIC

  26. catfaninsbca Says:

What was the Tyreke Evans news? I had to take a call.

  27. 69'Z Says:

It’s not nearly as shocking to hear Perry say these things about OTS as it is that OTS has allowed his relationships with these guys deteriorate.

  28. THE SEC Maniac Says:

Kent State and Vandy are two of the games in the lock section that IMO could potentially be battles but I think this KENTUCKY team which is led by veterans like Woodson, Burton, Little, and Woodyard will be focused enough that the potential scare games of the past will be locks this season.

  29. Dano Says:

Was Streisand on her way to detox when you met her?

  30. TulsaCat Says:

SEC Maniac, good list. there are winnable swing games, and I feel better about our chances than years past. That said, the D line is troubling against a team like Arkansas with the pair of studs they have in the backfield. Question is, can they slow us down? Will they have an Alabama hangover? Will we have a Louisville hangover? The season can’t get here fast enough…

  31. THE SEC Maniac Says:

Some people will be upset that I have Georgia as a guaranteed loss but the game is AT UGA and we wont sneak up on them this time. Also, they finished the year with wins over Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Virginia Tech. They will bounce back and are legit. Also, I should probably have Florida in the swing game section but they still have speed and talent for days on that team.

  32. Terry Blue Says:

This time last year UL had only a couple of committs if that. Still 7 months till signing day. I doubt UK quits recruiting in-state guys like Guy or Newman. Remember what happened to Vic Anderson last year. Committed to W.Va, wanted to go to UK but waited too long to pull the trigger and went to UL. Way too early to panic.

  33. THE SEC Maniac Says:

#30 - I hear ya!! I cant wait for college football to start. I agree with you about Arkansas’s backs exposing our D-line but IMO Arkansas is a lot like UT a few years ago when Gerald Riggs was a Heisman candidate and everyone thought UT was great but they finished 5-6. Arkansas lost their RB coach and lots of players on both sides of the ball. If we put 8 in the box and really challenge them to put the ball in the air than I think we have a great chance.

  34. 69'Z Says:

But you’re discussing the Perry article. Doesn’t the caller get that?

  35. James' Red Sox Says:

Matt, please address the big news of the day. Pac Man Jones going to TNA wrestling.

  36. uofkcats Says:

I have a question for everyone out there.

Has anyone seen Jon Hood of Madisonville play?

    Is he any good?

What are the chances of him going to UK?

From what I have seen/heard. Hood can shot and handle the ball very well. Not to mention he is 6′6 and growing still. Could be a great wing prospect for UK. UK needs more big men and SF prospects.

  37. eight track mind Says:

What’s the motivation for talking about Tubby? Are we going to discover something we don’t know? Is the reason…1)Sports radio looking for controversy 2)Applying pressure to find Bobby a job 3)Nothing else to talk about….anyway, let it rest.

  38. 69'Z Says:

    37- They’re discussing a article about Perry.

  39. GoCats Says:

I always thought it was suspicious that Perry grew up in the backyard of Duke and UNC but he was not recruited by either of them.

  40. Big Jules Says:

Why do we need more SF prospects?

  41. Paul Newbill Says:

Looks like the rumors spewed here about Bud Mackey and UK a while ago were just not true.

    http://www.insidethehall.com/2007/07/30/bud-mackey-loves-indiana-unive rsity/

  42. SagaciousMind Says:

For anyone who thinks that UK may have a soft schedule, which in my opinion they do not, check out the 2 time national champs schedule. It’s horrible. Even if they do make it to the NCAA tourny, they will have an extremely low seed, but isnt their nonconference schedule usually whimpy?

  43. SagaciousMind Says:

    http://www.gatorzone.com/sched.php?sport=baskm

  44. funkdelic Says:

EVERYONE CHECK OUT THIS SCHEDULE! PEOPLE ARE SAYING OUR’S IS SOFT. I THINK WE LEAVE THE STATE MORE THAN ONCE BEFORE THE SEC STARTS. UNBELIEVABLE!
    http://www.gatorzone.com/sched.php?sport=baskm

  45. GoCats Says:

#44 are they trying for a 3-peat except this time play a division II schedule?

  46. loother Says:

One would think that 2 time defending National Champions
    could do better……………MUCH better.
But then again it is just fla.

  47. Rob's Hairgel Says:

How about those Celtics now!!! Finally some hope in Beantown!!

  49. Han Says:

ESPN’s scroll (during Cubs game) says that Telfair is among the 5-6 players going from Boston to the T-Wolves. Just in case anyone finds that interesting.

Rondo dishes to Garnett. How’s that sound?

  50. UKatCrazy Says:

is this a picture from matt and TH in vegas in the early 90’s? the hair, the button-down collar shirts, the grainy pic…it’s like a time warp.

does anybody have a good word from jags camp? has couch shown and thrown yet? there’s rumblings that couch is the man if he shows he’s in shape. the jags sound like they’re done with both garrad and leftwich…

  51. Conley Says:

I seriously had to do a double take to figure out if Carrot Top was in the middle or on the right. Man Matt, if you need us to donate money for a haircut we can. You are starting to look a little Coury Flurryish with that hair buddy.

  52. Anonymous Says:

whoever dressed like carrot top didnt do a very good job

  53. Matt's Barber Says:

    Where have you been, boy?

  54. GoBgBlu37 Says:

Last year lots of folks were saying we were taking to many recruits to early, now this year in late Jul we sux because we only have 2 on board. Sheesh, the coaches know our needs and who we have the best shots at, give it a break!

  55. Davey Says:

We need Carrot Top on the team this year..he’s big and he can always do an improptu (sp?) trick with the football

  56. OH- You Guys are killers Says:
