In case you missed it today, the other site that may or may not be one of the two biggest in Kentucky, CoachCal.com, held a chat with Kentucky’s head man today. A number of subjects were discussed, but the one that’s burning up the message boards, as well as my inbox, is the announcement that UK will have a “special” uniform and wear official LeBron shoes designed specifically for the Cats. The uniforms, Cal said will pay tribute to the school and the Commonwealth in a subtle fashion. But don’t go withdraw all that cash yet, folks, because Coach says they probably won’t be ready by the start of the year and he’s working on making every corporate dress code allow bulky high tops.

Do you all believe that Jon Gruden would go to U of L.
I do not think he would, but my U of L friends keep telling me that it is a done deal.

word is that a dark suv w/FL tags and a “chucky” hood ornament was spotted all over louisville and my best friends best friend’s mom said she was w/gruden at porcini’s last night at the pitino table. what more proof do you need?

I think if UofL does hire someone like Gruden it is a mistake. He wont be there long, using it to pay some bills until the next NFL job comes. If he does go there he will do very well and we will go back to UofL beating us on a regular basis.
Did I mention I dont like the coach in waiting thing!?

Gruden to UL rumors make about as much sense as the old Parcells to UK rumors back in the day.
Why would an NFL coach with the accolades that Gruden has come into the college ranks?

9, that year most of the schools were wearin throw backs, it was some kinda SEC thing, but they were cool. I think LeBron havin a lot to do with the university is gonna attract a lot of recruits.

In order for Gruden to be successful, doesn’t U of L need to hire Tony Dungy first. Let him build a team, leave, THEN hire Gruden. Isn’t that how he did it in Tampa??

If Lane Kiffin can get the Tennessee job, then why would Gruden take the Louisville job? Granted Kiffin’s dad was part of a package deal to Tennessee which obviously makes Lane Kiffin a much more attractive hire. But Gruden was actually really successfull at the raiders while Kiffin’s tenure was rather unremarkable. I’m not sure if a coach with a Super Bowl ring would actually take the louisville job. Maybe Gruden is using the open position to gauge and inflate the market for when he does take his next job?

Gruden will be in Dallas next with the Cowboys. They will have an opening at seasons end if not before.

wow#17-Great minds think alike. Sorry I didn’t see your post until after I had already sent mine. I’ve been a Cowboys fan since I was a kid, and right now I have little confidence in the coaching staff, and even less in our quarterback. Love to have Gruden,Cower, or the old ex coach from Denver.
