Folks you better get to Memorial if you are going. Today campus police told KSR spy Jared Quillen that there were “already 500-600 people there and that they expected over 1,000 by Friday. UK had to issue “control cards” to those in line, so that those there on Wednesday could be at the front of the line come Saturday. #1 will once again be our man Wildcat Rick above (for the 8th consecutive year) who is one of the moderators at WildcatNation, the best message board site on the internet for reasoned UK discussion. Rick is one of the nicest guys around, has a mean tailgate (with good food) and has supported KSR from its earliest days. Good to see him in the front of the line once again.
I officially want to go camp out…I will be there Friday night and hope the scene is as good as I expect it will be. Either way the fun has begun outside Memorial…this is going to be a heck of a season.

There will be plenty of tickets. Hell, you might even get lower arena if you show up at 5:30 am Saturday morning.
I’ll probably drive down after securing my tickets online just to see which set is better.

How do the tickets work? Like do you just get any seast or you just choose when you get to Rupp the day of BBM? I’m actually going to try Ticketmaster on 3 computers at once while I’ll have 2 friends camping out, maybe I’ll get lucky.

I’m sure if you try ticketmaster you will not get better seats than those who camped out. It would actually be kinda messed up to get better tickets than those out there freezing their butts off…I’m pretty sure it wasnt this cool last year when people camped.

Well my original plan was to get there early Friday morning, but I might be able to “call in sick” tomorrow and head there tomorrow morning. The kicker is I work in health care and I’m “on call” thursday night AND friday night so there would be a chance I would camp out all day and then freakin’ get called in. I’m really willing to chance it all around I just didn’t know about camping out by myself. Any words of wisdom???

I was out there last night at 10:30 PM. I got #43 in line. A cop showed up about 12:30 and told people to start lining up, they shouldn’t have been able to untill 8 AM so thats why all the plans got changed.

The next round of vouchers or numbers will be done early friday morning. They wouldn’t say what time, but I wouldn’t doubt it if they did it around 7 or so. Just show up then and you should be good to go. You will no doubt get a ticket, can’t tell you how close you’ll be, but if you showed up Friday morning at say 5 or 6 AM, you’d be in good shape.

Thanks for all the great info “The King”! Once you get the voucher are you free to leave and just come back and jump back in line on Saturday morning??? Randomnist I am looking at leaving at the latest Friday morning, but I will email you when I know for sure and we can see if we can work something out. Why would you go Friday? I mean by then it’s gonna be upper level available only. You could just try your luck on Ticketmaster that morning. I know the atmosphere is fun and stuff, but last year by the time Friday rolled around everyone just wanted to get out of there. And I’m sure the players won’t be there Friday night.
