[Moderated by Matt Jones]

I admit to not being real familiar with this source and I cannot confirm the news, but Hoop Report is reporting tonight that KC Ross-Miller says he is “99%” sure he wants to commit to UK. That is Rotnei Clarke’s AAU teammate and yet ANOTHER 2010 recruit. The beat goes on….
UPDATE Just spoke with Conley Clarke, Rotnei’s dad…..will have more later (very similar to Marc’s earlier report)….he said he wasnt sure that KC Miller came to Lexington. So who knows at this point.

This is the 5th ranked player of 2010. Go BCG!
June 30th, 2007 at 9:20 pm
I hope I live long enough to
see the 2010 kids play.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:20 pm
Ha! This is insane!
What the hell are we gonna do in another month when our recruiting classes for 08, 09 and 2010 are already decided? LOL. Wow.
I guess we can always discuss middle school players?
June 30th, 2007 at 9:23 pm
BCG should have a day designated “Billy Clyde Day” for his recruiting efforts…
June 30th, 2007 at 9:25 pm
Dear sweet lord, you all are doing miracles just trying to keep up with BCG, Matt. You all deserve a round of applause.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:32 pm
CBC is simply amazing. People in Kentucky are gonna be hangin this guys portrait in their family room for many decades to come!
June 30th, 2007 at 9:35 pm
LOL 2. Thats funny I was thinking the same thing, that I hope I am alive to see these kids play
June 30th, 2007 at 9:36 pm
Matt you are stayin busy today aren’t ya….This constant flow of news is GREAT!!! Can’t wait for the commitments to start rolling in as a result of this group of visits.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:38 pm
Everytime I see what BCG is doing on the recruiting trail it totally blows me away!!! Dear lord I’m so happy we got BCG instead of Billy D.He has yet to coach a single game but has us on course for #8!! I think of that song “simply the best” when referring to BCG.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:39 pm
Despite my previous doubts, #9, I am sure now that we got the better Billy.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:43 pm
I wonder how recruiting is going in Minnesota?…I know, that is just wrong.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:43 pm
When he is done with basketball recruiting maybe he can help with football as well.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:44 pm
After this flurry of jabs, a roundhouse is coming!
June 30th, 2007 at 9:49 pm
That roundhouse might be one Willie Warren
June 30th, 2007 at 9:51 pm
Matt, I thought your source confirmed that KC Miller was in fact on the UK campus?
June 30th, 2007 at 9:52 pm
holy billyrama batman!
June 30th, 2007 at 9:53 pm
GILLISPIE STOP RIGHT NOW, WE NEED A BREAK. AT LEAST GIVE ME TIME TO BREATH!!
There is so much I want to say but all that comes to mind is WOW!!!
but hey UK fans we have seen anything yet. We are all excited about Gillispie’s recruiting and such but don’t forget Gillispie is not known for recruiting; he is known for developing players and coaching on the court. So just remember; no matter how excited we are about Gillispie’s recruiting, Gillispie’s strenght is in his coaching ability.
I think it is safe to say UK got the right guy and the next great coach in college basketball.
GO BIG BLUE!!!!
June 30th, 2007 at 9:54 pm
KC Miller is in town, in fact he and his fateher Tim are staying with us while they are in town and we were the first ones he contacted several hours ago to break the new, apparently all that’s left is a visit from mom and its a done deal-Hoopsreport.com
June 30th, 2007 at 9:56 pm
18.
done deal
I know you guys give good info, but whenever I see those two words my mind recoils.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:56 pm
#15…he did. Just reporting what alternate news may be out there.
June 30th, 2007 at 10:15 pm
BG is a freaking dynamo. This has to be the greatest June in UK BB history doesn’t it?
June 30th, 2007 at 10:37 pm
11 i am wondering the same thing. tubby will find a 3 star to play for him somewhere. look what we could have had if barnhart would have ran him off sooner.
June 30th, 2007 at 11:02 pm
Wow. Just incredible. I love getting in early on these guys…yet, I would be lying if I said it didn’t worry me a bit, getting verbals from these guys this early. A lot can happen in three years.
June 30th, 2007 at 11:26 pm
Ross-Miller is a PG correct? How many point guards do we need?
June 30th, 2007 at 11:37 pm
18, can you please tell us about his game? I’ve not heard much about him. thanks.
July 1st, 2007 at 12:56 am
Kentucky Ink has a great interview with KC CAT:-)
July 1st, 2007 at 1:07 am
23: A lot can happen in a few years, that’s true, but at least if things don’t work out somewhere along the line, you see it coming and have time to pursue other possibilities. I think early commitments can work better for everyone, rather than waiting until the last minute. Until a recruit signs their LOI, there’s little actual obligation, but a verbal can presumably ease pressure on a recruit as well as a coaching staff. If the player decides to check out other schools, they can re-open their recruitment. If the player unfortunately becomes ineligible or unable to play, the staff also has no obligation.
July 1st, 2007 at 1:13 am
Matt’s as busy as a 3-peckered goat trying to keep up with Gillispie!
July 1st, 2007 at 1:39 am
This is all very fascinating. We haven’t been in this territory for several years now. Even Pitino didn’t have this kind of immediate success.
It does make me think, however, because you have to wonder about Meeks and Legion. Gillespie is heavily recruiting the 2-3 spots and seems to be attracting A LOT of talent. Meeks will be here for another three years, and Legion has yet to play a game!
I am very anxious to see us get in on some big guys. That’s the one area that we have consistently sucked at, and I hope BCG can improve our status in that area.
July 1st, 2007 at 1:42 am
#18 not trying to be negative but I honestly think you are reporting a bunch of crap I hope im wrong so dont be mad but that is very hard to believe.
July 1st, 2007 at 1:48 am
Kyle I totally agree we could be great with 2 and 3 guys but we could never win it all without a few good bigs.Coach get us some bigs to ease our pain.Billy G you are the greatest thing that has ever happened to KY basketball since coach Rupp was around, and that other guy was pretty good too.GO BIG BLUE
July 1st, 2007 at 1:52 am
30) Check out MM’s Kentucky Ink page~ he has an interview with KC Ross Miller. Definitely on campus this weekend, but staying in a hotel with his dad. So unless #18 lives at the Marriot, I’m thinking they aren’t guests at his house…. Regardless, GREAT interview with KCR Miller & HOW MUCH he adores UK.
July 1st, 2007 at 3:31 am
Seriously, do I have to go take a picture of KC and his Dad asleep on my couch right now, that is a crazy story for someone to make up, in fact Tim Miller is on the phone with Jeff Drummond right now confirming the story, KC will be a great pick-up for UK, he is a great player and an even better kid.-Hoopsreport
July 1st, 2007 at 3:42 am
Greg Monroe is at my house and says he will commit to KY today LMFAO
July 1st, 2007 at 7:11 am
#12 I was thinking the same thing…85 schollies for BCG to fill. That would be fun to watch.
July 1st, 2007 at 8:53 am
Did you guys get outscooped by catspause re: K C Miller?
July 1st, 2007 at 10:49 am
