In this week’s enstallment of “Ya can’t make this stuff up,” we travel to Gainseville, Fl. There you will find beautiful women, even prettier weather, and a Waffle House or two. You may also come upon Lee Humphrey, a junior guard for Billy Donovan’s crew. Humphrey, who is also the SEC’s leader in 3-point %, will miss at least the next two games with a shoulder injury. Yes, that does include the showdown with Kentucky on Saturday. Apparently Humphrey injured his shoulder when he fell from his bicycle on Sunday. Maybe he was trying to impress a coed, perhaps he was drunk (which is really the only feasable excuse), or maybe he really does like to pull off “sick” jumps on his Huffy.
“Maybe it was defective spokes, maybe he needs training wheels, I don’t know.” Said Coach Donovan, unable to mask his bewilderment.
While Humphrey’s biking abilities remain in question, one thing is certain; his ego has to be bruised far worse than his shoulder. It’s alright kid, just load up on some Slim Jims and Mountain Dew and get ready for those summer X-Games in a few months. In all seriousness though, let’s hope it’s not a season ender.

Appreciated. Where did Ryan come from? Was there a Ryan Humphery somewhere at some point in college basketball?
