As I return from a not-so relaxing three day vacation, it seems like not a lot has happened in the Kentucky sports world. As we lead up to the opening weekend of the season, basketball continues to dominate the headlines and it’s not even the current coach that’s keeping UK in the headlines at the moment. The Gillispie DUI continues to linger around sports pages and Rivals.com hosted a roundtable to discuss Clyde’s future possibilities. While none of the entries seem to be as creative as some of the suggestions of the KSR commenters, no one really seems to think basketball coaching will be in those immediate plans.
Yep, that’s about it. Let’s get geared up for football.

Jason King is an idiot if he thinks that Gillispie is “at the top” of the coaching prefession when it comes to just coaching. Did he miss these last two years?

BCG will end up coaching a high school in Texas, they will sit around and say, “go ahead Billy, tell ’bout playing LSU again”. He will remain a drunk, but they wont care, they will love him. This has a bad Hoosiers written all over it!

No way he could even get a janitors job at a reputable school. I hear the NBRA is always looking for Rodeo Clowns, sounds like a good fit to me. Hell, after 18 holes of midnight golf and a couple of 5ths of M&M, he wouldn’t even need the face paint.
