Status of the 3rd assistant coach at UK and the new strength coach. I have heard Kridder, Cunningham, Pastner, Harris and the former assistant coach from A & M. Are there other names who is it and when is it going to be announced? Also the Strngth coach is needed right now to be working on the players proir to the start of school and are very key to the success of the 2007-08 season.

#45..I live in Cincinnati, and I absolutely HATE OSU..I hated them before I moved here, it’s a long story but it has to do with the UK/UAB game in which UK lost and I happened to attend..it was in Columbus and to say the least, OSU fans are classless..I have continously preached to my OSU friends here that SEC football is superior and the Big 10(11?) is a joke..I was glad to see FLA spank that ass for them and Woodson makes Troy Smith look like Shane Boyd. I was not a Boyd fan.

You might be able to compare this to game hunting just for the furs or heads, etc. Which plenty of people do in deer hunting…
The difference even between those two is the fact that dog fighting involves a great drawn out process of making the dog mean,
and then having them hurt each other and die a suffering death eventualy if they survive their first fight…sometimes if you
hit a deer wrong it could suffer but a appropriate hunter will swiftly go up and put it out of its misery to minimize its pain.
To be honest the level of pain the dog suffers isn’t a high priority.

everyone is underestimating UK football team this year– the offense is bigger, stronger and older. The defense is MUCH improved– UK wont have a great team, but they will upset a few teams.

The Zone: Take guys that may have questionable character as long as you dont believe he is a cancer to the team and as long as
they know the expectations you have as a coach and every player knows what will happen if they cross the line. When the player
messes up there is no surprise or question what will happen to him. He should know before he commits an act, if he gets caught
this is going to happen to him. The coach must stick to his guns no matter who it is.

mr david… First of all, when did I state that UL was my team ? Secondly, I am merely stating the facts.
The fact that UK plays in the SEC clouds the fact that they are a 2nd tier football program who has not enjoyed very much success in the past years.
In my opinion, UK is at best a Mid-Mjor level football team.

Man, I love me some Andre Woodson but I do miss seeing the hefty lefty running the ball down the field with two defenders draped on top of him and another holding his leg like a six year old. We may not have won much but the hefty lefty sure did provide some entertaining moments.
I really would like to see him get some clock for the Giants this year. He has only been used in short yardage situations so far but Eli sucks and I think J-Lo could get it done.

If we were in the Big East or the ACC we would have 9 or 10 wins every year.

UK plays in a tough tought conference. We would have a much better record in the big east. Louisville would not be making a BCS bowl any season they played in the SEC. UF. UT. UG, Auburn, LSU. At least four of those every season. Im betting Lousiville at best would go 2-2 which means no BCS bowl.

58) Jared is just not mobile…which makes it pretty obvious what he is going to do. Having QB’s who will make you defend the
run even when its an obvious passing play helps a great deal. Guys who are not mobile starting is a defensive dream because
it makes their job much easier.

55) I dont think anyone thats a fan is underestimating UK this season. I would love for them to have another great season but UK is going to have to put together 2-3 good seasons in a row to start gaining some national respect and lets face it, we have a much much tougher schedule this season. If the defense can improve as much this season as the offense did last season I think we have a shot a really special season for this program but the players are going to have to prove it on the field. you can only speculate so much regarding UK football.

Without a doubt the SEC is bar none the best football conference in the country and I am sure that there are a lot of teams from the Big East, ACC, Pac 10, Big 10 or the Big 12 that would enjoy the success that they have if they played in the SEC, but the fact of the matter is that UK football has not lived up to the reputation of SEC football for many years.
Last year UK enjoyed the most success that they have in many years and they went 9-5 - 4-4, which includes a 59 to 28 spanking by Louisville in Lexington.
I think UK is a much improved team from years past, but they still have a long way to go to be at the level of the other markee programs in the SEC.

Also guys like Vick are small and are able to slip through guys trying to tackle him. Pros are much better then college players
of grabing a guy and not letting go. That being the case all the defense needs to do is grab onto him and not let go. Jared
isnt going to go to far with a 300 plus lineman holding onto him. He can’t exactly move around and slip out of holds as well.
If its 1st and goal on the one, give Jared the ball because he will bull his way through if he has a good offensive line. If you
need to do an all out hail mary, Jared would be great for this. This is why you are seeing Jared coming in for special things.
He is a like a closing pitcher, programs can utilize his special skills but I would be shocked if he starts and is successful at
it…

Kobe is one of those players that you think you want until you got him and then it is frustrating. You feel like you only get about 5 plays ran for you a game and if you are lucky you may get 8 shots a game. If you
dont make it on the few chances you get you may never get passed to again. Who wants to play under those conditions.

stop by. I am annoyed of the commercial now the only way I see myself going now is if I had some friends who wanted to go in the

I am very sorry 103 I am not a Tubby basher, I loved him just thought id make a joke, I apologize. I thought tubby was a great coach and a great guy we just lost the fire the last couple years and we needed to be revived. With Billy we are a new team and Tubby should not get the credit if we win just like Pitino shouldnt have got the credit when we won in ‘98. Tubby did some masterful coaching in the Tourney especially the Duke and Stanford games.

If we win this year Billy G gets more credit. Our two best recruits he pulled in Patterson and Legion. Also Tubby in 98 was
given a much better team plus the momentum of being to the championship two years in a row vs what he has been handed with no
momentum coming from Tubby and a sub par team. Without Patterson and Legion we are not ranked this coming season. Not the
case at all in 98.

As far as Tubby goes, statistics speak for themselves!! For any school EXCEPT KENTUCKY, Tubby will do fine - maybe even great. That said, let me point out that while he was here happens to also be some of our worst statistics. How many losses to FL consecutively? How many years since a final four appearance? How many SEC overall and championship titles out of nine seasons? Louisville beat us on our own court!!!! More than once I believe?! We have more “bad” statistics with him than good. So where is the argument. As for the team he won in ‘98 with, let me remind you people that Pitino won 1 of 2 NCAA championship title games with that team. Remember, we were in the ‘97 title game also and probably would have won if Pitino had played Anderson. If people love Tubby so much then I’m sure the Gophers could use more support. He wasn’t good enough for Kentucky. We gave him the chance and he couldn’t handle the pressure. BYE BYE! Time to move on. I’ve have ALWAYS believed that last years team had SO much potential. Tubby just didn’t have the coaching ability needed to make the players better, to “up” their game. I believe we’ll all be amazed at what Billy G can do with the same team. They should have been great last year. They WILL be great in ‘07.

Come to think of it, I can only think of like 4 or 5 friends/family that have land lines, and two are my grandma’s, who have sworn off technology and cell phones.

maybe. i just always hear matt making fun of different people and it doesn’t ever sound like he’s joking. and then he’ll make fun of his own shows sponsors. it just doesn’t sound like anyone is comfortable with him.
