My sincerest apologies for posting a video featuring both Pat Forde and Skip Bayless. I’ll now try to find something more enjoyable to do than watch it again, like, say, being kicked in the groin repeatedly.

MATT’s TAKE: I just got home and have to comment on Pat for a second. I like Pat personally and he has been nice to me in the past. But the fact that he STILL is allowed to comment on this case is absurd. He is very close with Rick and wrote a book with him. He was at the forefront of the reporting in which Sypher was interviewed and discredited (likely rightly so) by ESPN. But when Pitino is on the clock, he is nowhere to be found on the reporting and only comes on tv to remind us that HE IS NOT THE ONE ON TRIAL!!! with righteousness. Well actually Pat, he is. Nobody cares about Karen Sypher and honestly, there isnt anyone who really believes her. What we are talking about is what Pitino already admitted and what it says about him as leader of a basketball program. And Pat, for all the good qualities he has, should not be the person giving opinions on that topic.

Matt, does Kentucky have any laws about adultery on the books? I know here in Wisconsin it is a Class I felony (although obviously it is rarely prosecuted). Assuming there are laws on the books in KY, any chance Pitino’s “confession” could amount to anything?

Everyone seem to be avoiding the fact that although he’s not “on trial”, there are rape allegations against him. AND he admits to paying for an ABORTION! Forde should be ashamed, along with anyone who defends Pitino.

Skip Bayless gets paid to do what he does which is basically taking the opposite stance from the guy across from him 99% of the time. But even he can see through Pitino’s BS last night. Forde is just spouting off a bunch of non-sense in the best interest of his new business partnership with Pitino. So i’m not even sure why they would have him comment on any of this.

But at least they did bring up some things that haven’t been talked about yet like Louisville being largely Catholic and what they will think about Pitino now. This isn’t going away anytime soon. I’d like to see UL go on a losing streak and watch the fans call for his head!

#1. Forde stepping away from his role as journalist and morphing into Pitino’s defensive domestic partner.

13- Kentucky is a no fault divorce state, so that aspect doesn’t matter here. I was more curious about what (if any) criminal statutes exist in Kentucky.

#25 – it was a V.D., for sure. Remember when he first announced, he said he was taking at least a week off, maybe two, then arrived, got checked, and said he’s be back in 3 days.

I had lain down and missed this clip, but from my vantage point it sounded like three people enjoying themselves in a pleasurable verbal encounter.

What if Pitino embraced this entire thing and became a heel like in wrestling? He could grow out a line beard and dye it black to be a mix b/w “Hollywood” Hogan and the rest of the Louisville fans. He could use extra grease in his hair so it’s really shiny. Lose the tie Ricky P and go with a gold necklace and exposed chest hair to compliment the gold filling and pinky ring.
Then he could go on and on about how the dance team needs better looking “broads.” He could take on a Bobby Knight/Rick Majerus hybrid personality where he belittles people, but also talks about his transient lifestyle and whatnot. Maybe mix in a little post lightening strike bishop from Caddyshack “there is no God” to further alienate himself from the church. Then, about once a week (usually a Tuesday), over the PT’s loud speaker the announcer yells, “Is that Rick Pitino music?” and the entire entourage rolls in.
Just a thought.

Just logged on and watched the asinine “coverage” on ESPN…Forde AND Bayless? You have to be kidding! Bayless is and has been (I’m in Dallas and we ran him out of town) a very poor excuse for a sportswriter/columnist and Pat Forde(?) commenting on one of his revenue producers? ESPN has totally lost all creditably…of course, with their re-hiring of Corso, Holtz and his runnin’ mate covering college football and Vitale as their Prince on college basketball…what do you expect? Pat Forde has issues. He is the first and quickest to ram it to Coach Calipari when the whole mess with Derrick Rose shot up. Of course, not nearly a word since it has become apparent that Coach Calipari will sail through it. As for his buddy Coach Pitino, he has been silent on this issue until today’s appearance on ESPN. Where Forde ignores the the real issue are his claims that this case is about the mistress. Nope. This case is about a very public (he has made millions being public) person having sex with somebody other than his wife at a restaurant after hours with his personal assistant on the floor. The abortion payoff is even sadder. The mistress is a criminal and deserves to be punished for extortion, but Pitino is 1/2 to blame.
