[Moderated by Matt Jones]

Here is over two hours of our radio show last Thursday that includes Alex Legion and Assistant Coach Glen Cyprien on the Sports Mob. Lots of good stuff here and very interesting comments by an excitable assistant coach at the end of the show…..enjoy

Don’t want to steal Matt’s thunder but the story isn’t all that big of a deal and it doesn’t look like Matt is going to post it again. Basically Coach K told Patrick and his mom that we would not be playing center. She then went through every player in the lineup and asked “is he going to play center?” After she had gone through the whole lineup, and nobody was going to play center there was an awkward moment because she had called out Coach K on his lie. I’m sure Matt would give it a little bit more pizazz- but you have the basic story- stop begging for it.

I like this Coach Cyp fellow.

#9 that is a good story. But, you left out the part where coach k said, ” I feel tears wellen up inside like my heart’s goin to break, and the stab of loneliness sharp and painful that I may never shake. You might say I was taking it hard when she woke me up with a call, but don’t wager that I’ll hide the sorrow when I break right down and bawl! Well, the race is on and here comes Kentucky up the back stretch, Billy Clyde’s goin to the inside, my tears are holden back tryin not to fall. Duke is out of the running, and we’re scratched for Kentucky’s sake. The race is on and it looks like heartache, and we Dukies lose it all!”

I’m sure that most of you already know, but if you dont. Before Coach Cyp became an assistant at UK, he was an Assistant Coach at UNLV for many years, I’m not sure but I think that he moved on when Lon Kruger took over the program there 3 years ago. So I would say that that would make the score UNLV 1 (Hamga) and Kentucky 1 (Cyprien)

The Duke Patterson story is pretty funny.

Yep, Mike Rutherford is a smug bloke, bandito.
Probable too obscure for this crowd.
