[Moderated by Matt Jones]

Normally we spend this portion of the nightly post honoring someone out there who has a birthday or someone who is notable in the news and attempting to add some sense of enlightened rhetoric to this here two-bit blog. Not today my friends….there is no time….for if we waste a second, Billy Clyde will have visited ten more recruits! What Billy Clyde has done today is really quite amazing. Awaking in Atlanta, Georgia, Billy Clyde met with Chris Singleton…..got on a plane and went to Huntington to meet with Patrick Patterson…..and then got on a plane and finished the day in Illinois with Beas Hamga. Now you see why he needed that $300K for recruiting. Three top prospects…..in one day. I would say that such a performance is virtually unheard of in UK history and is truly one to be respected….or viewed as a dangerous excess….your choice. I choose the former, because I am the eternal optimist. You do what makes you feel good. In the course of you reading this paragraph, Billy Clyde has sent ten text messages and given three recruits’ grandmothers a foot massage, so we must move to the news quickly….
(1) The big story of the day if you followed the blog (and it seems you have by our amazing hit count tonight) is that Beas Hamga is looking more and more like a real target for 2007. Lets review. First our own Marc Maggard has reported that he is committed to being a 2007 recruit IF (and it is an important if), he can get is classes in gear to make it happen. Hamga has also told Rivals.com that UK is his leader and his teammate Darrington Hopson told a New Mexico newspaper that Hamga was likely headed to UK. Billy Clyde visited Hamga today, likely to tell him that he is needed….like now and to try and make this happen. We are hearing reports that he may visit UNLV this weekend, with a visit to UK sometime after. Hamga likes UK very much, and it is clear that he wants to make the 07 thing work…..now we just have to wait and see if he can. As a player however, Hamga is a top flight talent….6′10″ with a wingspan of someone 7′4″ and an ability to move up and down the court with the greatest of ease. Think what you had always hoped Jules Camara could be…..this one could be big folks….look for him later in the week on the new STREAMING Sports Mob show.
(2) Only with the Hamga news could the Jai Lucas story be pushed to the backburner. Well really, there isnt much of a story. Jai told me tonight that he is planning on making a decision to narrow it to 2-3 schools on Wednesday and then make a final decision either late in the week or early next week. Lucas said he got the same detailed presentation from Billy Clyde that Patterson got, complete with his entire schedule for two years, mapped out TO THE DAY (talk about neurotic). Jai says he loves his relationship with Billy Clyde and Coach Sip and is comfortable with the info he has to make his decison. What will he do? Only time will tell……but the Lucas saga, which we never thought would end…..may very soon.
(3) Chris Singleton of Atlanta also got a visit today, which says something about UK’s interest in him. This was the last day for Billy Clyde to do such visits and to make that interaction at the last minute shows where Singleton is on the priority list for UK. Singleton is another great athlete and a good shooter….think a less polished Tayshaun Prince, who Kentucky would love to pull from the grasp of UT and Georgia Tech. A 2008 class with him, Willie Warren and Darius Miller could have people shouting from the rooftops…..expect more action on Singleton very soon and look for an interview on this site in the next two days.
(4) The silence is deafening from the Michael Sanchez camp. We have no confirmation of a Billy Clyde visit, no word on when a trip to Lexington will be set up definitively and no public comments in quite a few days. I am hearing that Sanchez is visiting Wake Forest this week, but it is unclear where UK is on his recruitment…..and whether (maybe importantly) the Cats’ movement on Beas Hamga has changed their tune with Michael. We hope to learn more in a few days, but for now, Arkansas is a black hole of news.
Amidst all of this recruiting, today is a HUGE DAY for this site and our show. Beginning at 3 pm -7 pm today, The Sports Mob will be streaming LIVE on the internet at www.1570thezone.com. Every day, Rob begins the action at three, I join later in the day after law duties are filled. We will post a thread on this site with the link to the streaming and our guest list from the day and you can use the comment section to talk during the show. PLUS, you can call in and join the conversation at 1-800-510-ESPN from anywhere around the country. We hope to make this quickly the biggest sports radio show in the state and to have UK fans from all over America unite with one talk radio experience. Check it out on Tuesday as we have Marc Maggard at 4:30 and then Woo and Randolph Morris from 5-7 pm. This is the start of a special community for UK fans and we want it to be as successful and fun as the blog…..join us beginning tomorrow.
We will be here if news breaks……..

This is frickin’ awesome news. Given my week so far, it’s likely the highlight.
April 30th, 2007 at 11:46 pm
My only question is this: We have two rides, and it looks like three potential players for those spots (possibly Hamga, Lucas and Patterson.) How is that going to work out? Is CBCG going to have to pull someone’s scholarship?
April 30th, 2007 at 11:47 pm
Note, that is a big if. He has to land all three of those guys first.
April 30th, 2007 at 11:47 pm
Ha ha, Daniel, given your “week” (its only Monday), this news is “likely” the highlight. LOL
April 30th, 2007 at 11:51 pm
Matt, you missed one more state and one more big recruit Clyde saw today. Dig a little deeper…
April 30th, 2007 at 11:51 pm
wow thanks for the recap, looking good
April 30th, 2007 at 11:53 pm
So streaming DOES mean podcasting…RIGHT?!
April 30th, 2007 at 11:54 pm
Good luck with the live streaming tomorrow Matt! I’ll be listening!
Daniel– I’m hoping the highlight of your/my week will be some of these players sitting down & signing a LOI!!! I’m hopeful that a couple of these guys (Beas, Jai) will just put it out there & sign with UK ASAP! Hopefully, once this class is finished, Katz (at ESPN) will have to go in & reconfigure his predictions for top 25 again, for a 3rd (or is this 4th?) time!!
April 30th, 2007 at 11:55 pm
7, you don’t understand. I’m a BIG St. Louis Cardinals fan. Josh Hancock’s death has hit me as hard as DK’s did in 2002. I feel as if I lost a family member. This is not the same case as when Tubby went to Minnesota.
I’m in a state of mourning right now.
What was supposed to be a happy and exciting week with graduation activities this upcoming weekend is now downright depressing.
April 30th, 2007 at 11:56 pm
Hey Daniel– congrats on graduation! Welcome to Big Blue Alumni!
April 30th, 2007 at 11:57 pm
I don’t go to UK but am a die-hard UK fan
April 30th, 2007 at 11:58 pm
As someone who is usually stuck in front of a computer around the time you are oh, the streaming is great news. I look forward to brain washing the twins (3 year old twin girls)as future Mobsters by having the show on non stop. They will either grow up loving sports or have their pops committed as soon as possible.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:00 am
8, are you messing with Matt or did CBC really see someone else? If so who?
May 1st, 2007 at 12:00 am
Daniel…I live in Cincy and know people that lived in same building with Hancock when he was here. It was going to happen eventually. That’s why he was cut from what we figure. The “weight” thing was just a cover. We hoped the change of scenery would change things. Evidently it didn’t. Hated to see it. Guy had talent…
May 1st, 2007 at 12:01 am
beas is a done deal,if he qualifies, big if,and we will get jai and pp porter goes on acedemic, there you go!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 1st, 2007 at 12:03 am
help me out, does streaming mean that we can listen live on the
internet? I am on hear everyday reading because I am an obsessed
fan but I am computer illiterate! What does streaming mean???
May 1st, 2007 at 12:06 am
I really believe Coach Clyde has opened up a third scholly. We just havent heard about it yet. The signs are obvious with how hard he is going after Hamga, Lucas, and Patterson, and how hes pulled off on Sanchez..He must be confident about those 3 and he seems to be planning on getting all 3.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:06 am
16 I’m not messing. CBC saw another big recruit today…
May 1st, 2007 at 12:07 am
with legion, we only have two offers available
May 1st, 2007 at 12:08 am
I don’t care if we get sanchez, Patterson, or Hamga but we need
at least one of them because that is what killed us the last couple
of years with NOTHING on the inside except Morris. He was always in
foul trouble because he was the only big man within 20 yards of the
paint.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:09 am
18) Not that simple with academic. It’s been said you have to be at least 2 years into your education to switch to academic.
But if Coach Gillispie is trying to bring in 3 more, he already knows how he’ll fit them in. Either someone is leaving or someone is going on academic.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:10 am
19) Yes, you can listen to the radio broadcast online, assuming you have broadband.
21) Dude, quit teasing. You know we’re a crazy lot. We can’t take it.
22) Simple math cannot stop Coach Billy Clyde
May 1st, 2007 at 12:11 am
#19 We can listen to the show over the net like listening on radio.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:11 am
Just told the wife from now on it is Dr. Pepper and crackers for me. I had OJ and oatmeal this morning and was almost late to Santa Monica. A man has to have a role model….
May 1st, 2007 at 12:12 am
I do see a very slight ripple effect on this great nation’s economy being likely.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:14 am
I try to keep my wife abreast of the Lucas situation. Unfortunately, she has no interest………..good move.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:15 am
Here’s the first hint on the other recruit today: CHIEF JUSTICE WAITE wrote the opinion.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:17 am
I try to keep my wife up to date also. She is a Duke fan. That tells you how pumped I get about Kentucky basketball!
May 1st, 2007 at 12:18 am
Tomlin, you don’t rock! Stop being a tease & tell us who you’re referring to. I’m already crazy about all this recruiting, please don’t make me search around on the net late into the night! I need to get some sleep. lol
May 1st, 2007 at 12:19 am
Tomlin is napierblue!
May 1st, 2007 at 12:20 am
Man o Man, I would like to see his day planner. I don’t think he makes any unconsidered move.
Jump on and hold tight it is going to be a great ride.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:20 am
The impact these 2 have had on BBN…..They won’t have much more if they actually come and play really.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:21 am
30) Is the recruit 07 or 08?
May 1st, 2007 at 12:22 am
So does CBC have a guy like Taj in Van Wilder? “Write this down.”
May 1st, 2007 at 12:23 am
36 08
May 1st, 2007 at 12:23 am
38) im guessing miller?
May 1st, 2007 at 12:24 am
Jai Lucas #36 He saw him and left , Then visited PP, Singletery, and Hamga
May 1st, 2007 at 12:24 am
38) Warren?
The cases during Waite’s time don’t bring to mind any 08 recruits, but Warren was a SC Justice.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:25 am
40) Saw Lucas yesterday. Then flew to Atlanta, apparently. Billy Donovan saw Lucas today.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:25 am
42nd…hahahahahahahahahahahaha…..wow for billy clyde…amazing folks…go cats
May 1st, 2007 at 12:25 am
Matt, for the Cat fans in the diaspora, is the time CST or EST? It has been a while since I have been back home and I have forgotten which time zone Louisville is in.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:25 am
Miller
May 1st, 2007 at 12:25 am
Tyler Zeller #36 MY fault…..
May 1st, 2007 at 12:26 am
Damn 43…hahahahaha…even funnier
May 1st, 2007 at 12:26 am
EST……
May 1st, 2007 at 12:26 am
44) Louisville is Eastern, like Lexington
May 1st, 2007 at 12:27 am
41 good job on the first clue. Here’s the second: one of the parties shares a name with a coach who wanted to hang “half a hundred”.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:27 am
44) Louisville is still EST
May 1st, 2007 at 12:30 am
I’m going to bed. I may try counting recruits as I go to sleep!
May 1st, 2007 at 12:31 am
Thanks for the time zone info. My household will be listening.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:34 am
Thanks for the fine work Matt. I love this site.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:34 am
Off Topic - Matt, you might want to add the word ‘football’ to the poll about which is the most likely UK win. After all, a majority of the news on this site continues to be basketball right now, and anyone coming to the site for the first time might be confused.
Then again, it’s just a poll.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:37 am
Another way that another scholly could be freed up is asking Carter to walk on with financial aid . He is from KY and would get in state tuition rate.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:39 am
Billy G is the Jack Bauer of College basketball
May 1st, 2007 at 12:39 am
#50- Osby
May 1st, 2007 at 12:42 am
57) We could get him a Kentucky jersey that has the number 24 on it! ha ha
May 1st, 2007 at 12:45 am
59) Sounds like a plan to me lol
May 1st, 2007 at 12:46 am
60) I love that idea– wonder if Matt could find a way to get it to him with love from his KSR fans!?!
May 1st, 2007 at 1:01 am
61) I had a idea of making a small video of “24″ like theme dealing with Billy G in his day to day life. set it up like how the show starts only it would be like. “the following takes place in Lexington Ky from 7AM to 8AM.” Then you’d have to get creative with footage of him placing him on recruiting visits, press conferences or the phone talking or texting. Then hour by hour he’s doing something different. The Guy is always on the move lol
May 1st, 2007 at 1:08 am
Matt Jones:
Do you by a chance have the actual link to the New Mexico story on Beas Hamga? I’ve done a few searches and haven’t turned up any thing yet, if you could post the link I’d appreciate it.
May 1st, 2007 at 1:16 am
Not nearly as astute as Matt, but I’m up later

Seems as if nearly everyone is “obsessive-compulsive” over the one extra shollie that would be needed if we get all three targets. WHY? Why keep asking this silly question? The coach is no rookie and he knows exactly what he is doing. Further, MANY want the answer to be “Porter”. As in, Porter must be leaving, etc, etc, etc, etc,.
Porter will be here and coach will find a way to make it happen. We are in good hands. THAT is good enough for me.
May 1st, 2007 at 2:21 am
Agreed, BigAlbert.
It is not for us to worry about. Billy G is handling the show and he has all the info that we don’t. So you can bet that if he signs more than we currently have rides for, he’ll figure out a way to make it come out right. So there’s no point in worrying about it. Either he’ll shuffle things around and create a way to keep everyone, or a lesser caliber player will move on while we bring in a better one in his place. I don’t see the downside here.
May 1st, 2007 at 2:24 am
62) I love your idea BlueWorld Order! You should run with it– BCG needs more exposure– yeah riiight! Maybe that should be the Midnight Madness theme. How cool would that be?
May 1st, 2007 at 5:38 am
Good Morning! I hope today is the day! Go Big Blue!
May 1st, 2007 at 6:34 am
Hey Matt, Tim McGraw’s Birthday is today.
May 1st, 2007 at 6:35 am
skip on jai and pp, go with hamga, then next year grab singleton, miller, and one other, maybe osby?
May 1st, 2007 at 7:00 am
I like that think that Singleton and Miller will be in the same school next year too..except that school would be the University of Tennessee. I feel good about the former, and okay about the later.
May 1st, 2007 at 7:26 am
Daniel, I too am a huge Stl Cardinal fan and I live in Southeast Missouri 70 miles from Paducah, ky. I also am a huge Kentucky basketball fan.Sikeston, MO.
I have been watching Kentucky for many year through Paducah and I have never seen recruiting like this from Kentucky.
I just hope the fans will give Gillispie at least three years to build a championslhip team before they get ugly with him. Ha
May 1st, 2007 at 7:28 am
Why do other school fans come to the Kentucky sites to talk about their wishes? Don’t they have any interest in basketball at their schools? Ha
May 1st, 2007 at 7:33 am
I have read that Gillispie is a very defensive minded coach. Well, I have read that Porter is a very dedicated defensive player. I think these fans that want Porter gone should watch him play next year before they jump to conclusions. I have read that some want Kentuck people want Kentucky players becausse they have heart. Porter wanted to come to Kentucky just like Sheppard wanted to come to Kentucky. Porter seems to have the ability to play at Kentucky just llike Sheppard did. Remember it took Sheppard three years to develop.
May 1st, 2007 at 7:47 am
BCG bring us the BIG-Ham-ga … the last scholarship can go to the next great recruit, whoever BCG picks.
If you want to play for Kentuck and be coached by BCG … you’ll be required to accept quickly because BCG is moving on with or without a particulat recruit!!!
May 1st, 2007 at 7:56 am
Great job, Matt and thanks for the hard work. You guys are on to something special. Getting Hamga is going to be huge, especially with Legion on board. Exactly what work needs to be done on his part to classify for ‘07?
ps. Jai Lucas better sign with us. He could definitely start as a freshman. We need a scoring point guard… or at least on with the capability to score.
May 1st, 2007 at 8:04 am
Billy Clyde is, dare I say, en fuego!
Light headed, unconscious, lingering in the zone!
May 1st, 2007 at 8:06 am
Thank You for the live streaming…woooohhoooo
May 1st, 2007 at 8:08 am
What if JL would walk on, his family can diffently afford to pay his way.
May 1st, 2007 at 8:13 am
That stream has been up. I was listening to Big EZ’s show yesterday on that stream.
It’s amazing what you do when you have no wife and no kids. God bless Billy Clyde!
May 1st, 2007 at 8:17 am
Could Rod Rhodes be returing to Lexington???????
http://www.kentucky.com/276/story/57576.html
May 1st, 2007 at 8:40 am
78 I agree. Michael Porter will become a tremendous player under Coach BCG! He will make some mistakes, but he will be much improved over last year!
May 1st, 2007 at 8:42 am
#83 would that not be sweet to see JL turn down a full ride at Florida to walk on at UK? Great idea though. Lee Melchionni walked on for 2 years at Duke so they could sign six guys in one year. It does happen. I can also see Mike Williams being asked to prep for a year. Legion and Hamga may be one-and-done, that would make room for Williams next year. Jared Carter could also walk on, he is a Kentuckian and could possibly qualify for financial aid as Marquis Estill did. Plenty of ways to make this work without losing any current players.
May 1st, 2007 at 8:51 am
Does anyone think that Jai and Patrick will announce on the same day?
I haven’t been a big follower of recruiting in the past until now that
Coach Gillispie is here. Seems like it will be show boating if they both
do a press conference announcing which school.
May 1st, 2007 at 8:52 am
Carter would be better suited at a different school. NAIA or someplace like Morehead. He would be a big star at either one.
May 1st, 2007 at 8:52 am
Matt, will previous shows once you start streaming be available the following day? I can only listen from 3 - 4:30 so i miss the other half.
May 1st, 2007 at 8:57 am
Billy G is amazing. I think we hit a grand slam in getting him as coach.
May 1st, 2007 at 9:00 am
Could Rod Rhodes be returing to Lexington - very interesting - I suspect Rhodes would be one good addition.
May 1st, 2007 at 9:01 am
Come on Jai & Patrick…I know ya want to play with fellow first year players like Legion and Beas….just grin and say yeah…I want to be BLUE!!! (Kentucky blue)
May 1st, 2007 at 9:02 am
91) You can say that again. I am glad Donovan stayed at Florida.
Lets get T-Shirts made that say ” Keep your Billy D, We got Billy G “
May 1st, 2007 at 9:10 am
OH MY GOSH !! I Cant believe someone would compare Porter to Jeff Sheppard !!! Look I really like Porter and think he will be a very good off the bench player BUT remember this…Jeff Sheppard from Peachtree city Georgia in high school was great in the high jump (can’t remember the height he cleared) Sheppard had such great leaping ability that his shot had to be corrected , He also dunked on players much taller than himself. Now Porter will never be in the same class as that! Love the heart of Michael Porter but please don’t compare him to Jeff Sheppard. Adam Williams found out he was no Sheppard either!
May 1st, 2007 at 9:19 am
Jeff Sheppard was a very special player and a special kid.
He is on my all time UK team and will forever be.
98 would not have happened without him. He was a great leader
and inspired the team to play way beyond it’s abilities.
May 1st, 2007 at 9:22 am
96) Yep, Sheppard and Mills lit up the 3’s like barnstorming…
May 1st, 2007 at 9:22 am
Hamga would be a great get. I hope it happens. Can’t wait for the streaming show!
May 1st, 2007 at 9:25 am
#95
No doubt that Porter is not comparable to Sheppard. SHeppard was the man. The boy could jump out of the building!
I hope Porter shows us a little more this year, but I don’t know how much time he will get.
May 1st, 2007 at 9:34 am
I’ll say this but will NOT put him in the same field. Porter is some what like Anthony Epps, they both played football , they both are not blessed with blazing speed - Yet they have a common bond in the areas of basketball IQ and have desire to over achive….Will Porter reach an Epps like game? I Have no idea , but they do have those common threads.
May 1st, 2007 at 9:41 am
Porter is a lot like Charlie Ward…or Ronald Curry…or Julius Peppers…because he played football.
May 1st, 2007 at 9:43 am
Porta is my boy! Porter may not be a McD’s All-American, but he has an extremely high basketball IQ and he can flat out shoot the ball. No need to compare him to Sheppard, compare him to Michael Porta…Give him some time, I seriously think Porter will be the kind of player we are extremely happy to have around before he graduates… Porter can flat out shoot the ball…
May 1st, 2007 at 9:55 am
I hope Rhodes is cool with no longer coaching at Idaho State or wherever he was… Him coming out and saying all that is sort of like Jim Mora Jr. talking about how he’d rather be coaching college than in the NFL and *POOF* Mora’s out and Petrino’s in.
I liked Rhodes, but he’s a couple aces short a full deck.
May 1st, 2007 at 9:58 am
The other recruit that Billy G. visited would have to be
Shawn Williams from Dubcanville, Texas!
May 1st, 2007 at 9:58 am
Morning, I to think Porter will improve a great deal this year and no he is not a great talent, but neither was Larry Bird, but his I.Q made him one of the best players ever!!
May 1st, 2007 at 9:58 am
Should be Duncanville, Tx.
May 1st, 2007 at 9:59 am
Any football recruiting news? I’m surprised the football team doesn’t have a recruit after our good season last year.
May 1st, 2007 at 10:00 am
For perception and/or a recruiting war perspective it would look good for for UK to win the Jai and Patrick battle. If we don’t, it wont be gloom and doom as with the last staff. As we speak, I don’t think we can go wrong with any our current options.
May 1st, 2007 at 10:00 am
104) Nope.
May 1st, 2007 at 10:03 am
Give Rhodes a Chance!!
Dang everyone deserves a second chance!!
May 1st, 2007 at 10:08 am
I agree with 110. I would love to see Rodrick back in the bluegrass!
May 1st, 2007 at 10:16 am
I believe Jai will announce to U.K. any day and Patrick
will follow on May 16!
May 1st, 2007 at 10:16 am
It’s a done deal.
May 1st, 2007 at 10:28 am
Write it down. Put it in the books. The fat lady is singing. Turn out the lights the parties over.
May 1st, 2007 at 10:30 am
Looks like someone is going to be the odd man out. What happens if Hamga opts for 2007 and Lucas / Patterson sign?
Scholarship voodoo?
May 1st, 2007 at 10:32 am
Larry Bird was 6′9″ and could basically play PG and was a dead eye shooter. He was incredibily talented. He was a smart player, but he had loads of natural talent. He was one of first guys with his size that could really fill it up from outside. He is still probably the greatest shooting big man(over 6′8″) in the history of the NBA.
May 1st, 2007 at 10:32 am
that was me. I always forget to put my name
May 1st, 2007 at 10:40 am
115, don’t worry about scholarships. Billy knows what he
is doing.
May 1st, 2007 at 10:43 am
Scolarships are just a fancy financial aid package. There is plenty of others. Maybe BG can get some 5 star recruits to walk on at UK.
May 1st, 2007 at 10:46 am
Larry Bird is still my favorite player of all time and the Celtics teams with Parish, Mchale and Bird now that was a Frontline!!!

May 1st, 2007 at 10:54 am
Hey Matt, wouldn’t it be Coach “Cyp” instead of “Sip”. Just makes more sense that way.

BG has got to slow down a little. We desperately need some new pics of him. I’m so tired of the all the pep rally pics!
May 1st, 2007 at 11:37 am
125 - Am I missing something? Rivals just has him listed as a 3 star.. so why would top programs be fighting to get his attention?
May 1st, 2007 at 11:39 am
But Pitino did not recruit him until; he sesnt a video of himself playing. He was offered a scholarship by Georgia. How do you know Porter can’t play. Are your at practice everyday or have you seen him in high school? Give me a good reason that you thilnk that Porter can’t play good basketball? I watched all the games this year and I didn’t see that he couldn’t play given time to get playing time. I saw Shepparad his freshman year, sophomore and junior year.

Where is an update?????? I demand more news!!!
May 1st, 2007 at 11:45 am
Some scholarships give a FULL ride.
Some are only partial. I would hardly think a walk would get a full ride.
May 1st, 2007 at 11:45 am
Update. Pettigrew signed with WKU.

Anonymous: Until the player from Texas hits the NBA. He is a black Larry Bird.
May 1st, 2007 at 11:51 am
I hope Vilirano is right about all these great Texas players wanted to come to Kentucky to play for Gillispie. Maybe Williams is one of them.
May 1st, 2007 at 11:51 am
Larry Bird is not black.

UK Alma Mater
Hail Kentucky, Alma Mater!
Loyal sons and daughters sing;
Sound her praise with voice united;
To the breeze her colors fling.
To the blue and white be true;
Badge triumphant age on age;
Blue, the sky that o’er us bends;
White, Kentucky’s stainless page.

For all you Kat fan’s who wish to ask Coach K if he realized the BCG is now — THE MAN — here’s your chance. http://www.coachk.com/ask-a-question.htm

I have always heard that “if” is the biggest little word in the dictionary. What if, what if, what if ETC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I too am anxiously waiting to see who will come to Kentucky but all the WHAT IF’S can wear on a person. Just think no longer than two more weeks and four days and we will know all the answers and life will return to normal for all Kentucky fans including myself.

One of Beas Hamgas teamates is supposedly saying the he has commited to UK….
http://blogs.scripps.com/albq/fowler/
Interesting….
May 1st, 2007 at 12:00 pm
Regarding the possibility of transfers: This is final exam week at UK. Historically, the next week or two after finals is when that tends to become known to the public as players request releases, etc. So for now, we really don’t know for sure if all will be back or not. Just a wait and see situation. Despite how much we would like to be driving this train, we are all just passengers.

Man lives on IF’s and BUTS. God already knows all things.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:07 pm
I for one check this sight every five minutes for an update … I am just beginning to realize that the commitment may not happen today … but if it does … I’ll know in five minutes.

Has anyone seen the posts regarding Bonshire story on Kentuckyink.com?

#141. That article didn’t say he had signed it just said that he was leaning toward Ky and it also said he didn’t think Hamgas would qualify for the 2007 season.

deWildcat — wrong, i have just committed to losing weight.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:17 pm
veeper - stay away from fast food and you’ll lose weight, I’m down 30 pounds and I eat plenty, but never again will I eat fast food.
May 1st, 2007 at 12:17 pm
146. I take all recruiting chatter as apocryphal but the sentence says, “The 7-footer out of Decatur (Ill.) Christian School has decided not to play for New Mexico in favor of Kentucky, said Lobo signee Darrington Hobson, former teammates with Hamga at Decatur, on Monday.” Interpret that how you may…..

Thanks 151. Wasn’t sure what to think about it. A lot of misinformation out there.

I was in Dawhares in Lexington today at noon and I was jsut minding my own business pickin up some wildcat gear when…Chris Lofton walked into the store. I watched him walk to the cash register and buy a pear of UK crocs….take it for what it is but im thinkin…TRANSFER!
May 1st, 2007 at 2:19 pm
153) No way is Lofton transferring to UK. He only has one season left in college ball– he’ll finish out at UT. Unfortunately we lost that one a couple years ago. Perhaps it was a gag gift for someone…
May 1st, 2007 at 2:23 pm
Oh– I don’t know the rules regarding transfers, but wouldn’t he have to sit out for a semester/year anyway? At that point his career would be finished. Right? As a female, I’m not up on the rules of NCAA bball, but isn’t there some sort of repercussion for transfers? I just don’t think it would make any sense for him to transfer this late into his ball career.
May 1st, 2007 at 7:01 pm
153) yo i was at the mall earlier too and i thought i saw someone that looked like my boy chris lofton. i think yur right playa hes gonna TRANSFER!!! we would be sick!!!
