TheShiver.com, who has been following the recent Xavier Henry saga, is reporting that a pre-recorded interview with Carl Henry will air on Kansas radio station 610 AM today at 2pm and then again at 5pm. Although they do not elaborate, The Shiver has gotten word that Carl will speak on the possibility of Xavier not attending the University of Kansas next year. Here’s the pertinent part of the Shiver’s article:
In a pre-recorded interview that will air today at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., the father of Xavier and CJ Henry spoke to 610 sports host Chris and Cowboy about the Kansas City Star article that came out on Sunday. In the interview, Carl speaks about the possibility that Xavier Henry might not be attending the University of Kansas.

In other UK news, Jeff Goodman of Fox is reporting that former Kentucky guard Donald Williams has signed on to play ball at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

apparently some poster on a KU board said that momma Barb Henry told X that if he really wants to go play for Cal now, she will move to KY. dont know the validity of this but interesting for sure

#4-That is really interesting if it was true. Just reading some of the articles about Xavier Henry it appears that he really wanted to come to UK, but his mom didn’t want to move and his dad kept on pushing him to go to Kansas.

Well, we do have one scholly open, but I don’t think that Xavier will be coming to UK. Could use the shooting though. Wouldn’t hurt our chances next year. Especially since it would take away from Kansas…literally.

A while back I said X would end up here. Still think he signs and plays at UK.
Him not enrolling in summer school showed some doubt on his part.
Interesting that one more player may be leaving which would open up two scholarships.

Remember, these kids are legacies and still chose Memphis initially. Imagine if that

Listen, now with Meeks gone I think Xavier is really regretting his decision. I believe that he probably wanted UK all along but with the families ties and with Meeks still up in the air, he pulled the trigger on KU. I’m not saying there is validity to those two coming here, I’m just saying don’t close the door on the possibility just yet. If Henry comes, go ahead and seal up the SEC regular season and tournament championships, punch your ticket to the Final Four and start picking out rafter locations for #8.

People their is absolutely no chance the Henry Bros come to UK b/c they are a package deal. Even if Cal opened up another spot as he has hinted it wouldn’t matter. Carl is convinced both are one and done players so you know he thinks his kids should start in college. I really don’t think CJ and Carl would ever stop bitching about Wall playing the point and we all know ain’t nobody taking Mr. Wall’s spot as our PG.

#61 - UK only needs a scholly for X, not CJ. That spot is open with Meeks decision. I think Cal would take both. CJ as a walkon will be okay. Cal knows as well as anyone what CJ can do.

No way CJ is at UK. Already have Wall and Bledsoe, which is a far better combo than Collins/Taylor.
In a perfect world, X comes to UK and CJ stays at KU. But that won’t happen. Both will stay at KU and after one year, X will be in the draft and CJ will likely be done at KU as well (whether foolish or not).

Who cares? I think we will be fine with what we have- Miller is gonna be a stud in this system and Henry coming here will only take oppurtunities away from others ready to step in. There is WAY TOO MUCH DRAMA associated with these guys- if its not Memphis, its UK- if its not UK its Kansas- if its not Kansas its Europe- WHO CARES, REALLY? Carl Henry heard last night that his sons were wanting to go to UK, because their mom now says she wouldn’t mind going to Kentucky.
He is supposed to meet with his sons tonight to discuss what they are going to do.
The Henry brothers are not bound to Kansas. Xavier cannot sign another LOI since he had one at Memphis. So…he is nothing but a verbal to Kansas so he can go wherever he wants.

Anyone concerned this may be too much of a good thing? I mean, I’m all for talent, but we don’t need anymore divas (not saying X is, just not quite sure). *IF* X were to come here, I would sure hope he could play within the team aspect… we sure do have a lot of character on the team already.

I seriously got excited when I read that Kansas City Star story because it said to me that these kids are going to F up this team and improve our chances of winning a title.
