It was one year ago to this day that we discovered the greatness of UK rap videos. Admit it, ever since last year you have said that “We Love Kentucky BA BA BA Basketball.” Now we have “I Love It”…..boy do we have talent in the Bluegrass State…..
Two great parts to watch for….the rap about an 11 game win streak in 2002 and the air ball shot in the background in one scene….you cant make this stuff up…..
And of course….the original:

I wish I could love it.. but no thanks Tubby.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:16 pm
Changing the lyrics to an already made song is too easy. Just ask the Turkey Hunter about Tears in Heaven.
It is a good thing YouTube didn’t exist back when we were young collegians.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:21 pm
and it should be “I Luv It”
February 27th, 2007 at 4:23 pm
Those were some hot beats. Though you don’t generally look very cool when you’re rapping and someone shoots an air ball behind you.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:26 pm
is that michael porter?
February 27th, 2007 at 4:27 pm
Maybe Michael Porter should stick to rapping. That was Porter right? Wait a second!?!
February 27th, 2007 at 4:29 pm
My sources say that the dance at the end was choreographed
by Jai Lucas and Patrick Patterson. Wonder what that means for
their recruitment?
February 27th, 2007 at 4:31 pm
I thought it was “We love Kentucky ba-ba-bas-ket-ball” As in two ba’s in front of basketball instead of 3. Maybe I’m just imagining that.
Does anal-retentive have a hyphen?
February 27th, 2007 at 4:31 pm
Bobby Perry on the beat, Ramel on the lyrics, and Porter on the vocals! This team is multi-talented.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:31 pm
I was thinkin the same thing…man, Porter is awfully vain to rap about his own team. Young Jeezy, forgive them, for they know not that they’re white.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:37 pm
You all need to hunt down both the I Luv It and Lazy Tuesday rappers and have them do a rap battle on The Walk Ons…imagine the ratings you would get!
February 27th, 2007 at 4:39 pm
Yeah, that was officially the whitest thing I’ve ever seen. In light of their whitness, instead of subjecting us to rapping, maybe they could write a set of pro-UK haikus,
or compete in a Scrabble tournament where you can only spell UK players’ names.
It’s not just that it’s bad rapping; it’s that I actually lost any hint of rhythm
I ever had just by watching that.
Joe
February 27th, 2007 at 4:40 pm
Or whiteness, instead of “whitness”. In any case, we are all
witnesses to some suck-ass rapping.

Justin, love where your head’s at. I actually like these guys, they obviously get the joke, and you can’t help but enjoy their unabashed love of UK bball. Plus, it makes our jobs so much easier.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:41 pm
Matt, I think you need to round these guys up and get them to do a live performance on your show. I can’t stop laughing when I see these videos.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
Lazy Tuesday cracks me up. Those guys are deranged versions of Johnny Knoxville and Rick Moranus.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
Another thing to watch for…
The half court shot that banks in during the line about Crawford draining threes.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
I think he was referring to the 11 game win streak this season, not 2002. THough it seems like that win streak happened a long time ago too.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
Also, play the two videos at the same time if you want a brain aneurysm.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:53 pm
Lazy Tuesday rapper here…a sequel is in the works.
February 27th, 2007 at 4:54 pm
Play them backwards and it says “Coach K is the ruler of the world. Dukie V is his lover” over and over again
February 27th, 2007 at 5:01 pm
Is there a release date for Lazy Wednesday?
February 27th, 2007 at 5:03 pm
That’s not the name of the sequel. The script is in rough draft status and I would expect that filming would begin sometime in mid-March but I cannot guarantee anything right now.
February 27th, 2007 at 5:10 pm
I think you should have the world premiere on Matt Jones’ radio show personally.
February 27th, 2007 at 5:15 pm
You should watch until the end, they try to play it all hard and then the guy totally blocks his partner then lays on the ground and rubs his nipple. Weird.
February 27th, 2007 at 5:15 pm
We shall see. But I don’t know how one can premeire a sketch video on the radio?
February 27th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
talking about tubby on PTI on espn
February 27th, 2007 at 5:47 pm
A lot of people probably think I’m crazy after laughing out loud hysterically after watching this in the basement of WT Young Library. Can this be played before home games instead of the other warm-up video? Absolutly sick!
February 27th, 2007 at 5:49 pm
#5 & #6, It’s hilarious that everyone thinks that is Michael Porter, his name is Eric, he’s a fellow “Cat Crazy” who throws T-shirts into the stands at bball games, We’re sponsored by Nike so we get the same warmups. I’ve always thought he kinda looks like Porter, glad someone else agrees!
February 27th, 2007 at 6:08 pm
As I watched it, I threw up the ‘Roc’ sign to everyone. Peace Out
February 27th, 2007 at 6:12 pm
lol I was going to post on here what I thought was an original post about Michael Porter rapping….
February 27th, 2007 at 6:19 pm
that really was Porter..haha
February 27th, 2007 at 6:47 pm
Videos are a great diversion. Wow this place has went down hill. This is like being the night attendant on suicide watch. I feel like I’m hanging with the EMO kids.
February 27th, 2007 at 6:57 pm
We’re Bob and Dave.
We are retarded.
What’s that smell?
Oh yeah we farted…
February 27th, 2007 at 7:07 pm
#33, you mean we’ve “gone” down hill.
February 27th, 2007 at 7:19 pm
Haha, I definitely know the guy in the blue.
February 27th, 2007 at 7:31 pm
I know both of these guys and they made this video for a lip sync contest to raise money for invisible children
(campaign for children in Africa.) While they are both hard core UK fans, they weren’t being serious with their rapping…but you have to
give them props for their lyrics. you all need to just chill out and know your UK players, because that is NOT Michael Porter!!!
February 27th, 2007 at 7:38 pm
I feel bad for these dudes
February 27th, 2007 at 8:01 pm
Wow- I am laughing out loud! Those videos are fantastic! You guys definitely need to get them to make a guest appearance on the radio show!
February 27th, 2007 at 8:19 pm
IIII LUUUUVV iiiiitttt!!!!!!!
February 27th, 2007 at 8:43 pm
If invisible children have money….how would we know?
February 27th, 2007 at 8:47 pm
floating toys
February 27th, 2007 at 9:46 pm
Again…I’m another friend of these guys…and I think it’s hilarious that people are taking this so seriously. It was part
of a fundraiser that also featured OK Go and Spice Girls spoofs. Also…if it really was Michael Porter, don’t you think he
would be able to get into Rupp Arena to do the video and not just Memorial Coliseum?
February 28th, 2007 at 1:49 am
yes as one poster above said…they are not talking about an 11 game win streak in 2002 they said “an 11 game win streak aint no goof” referring to this years teams’ win streak and which they also said in the video that UK is going to the final four
February 28th, 2007 at 9:16 am
What can I say, but I love it.
February 28th, 2007 at 12:54 pm
the original is horrible period….at least the new one is funny and somewhat entertaining GO CATS
February 28th, 2007 at 3:36 pm
[...] week, eh? Buyout rumors, Mitch’s very distant assessment of the program and Coach Smith, and crappy rap videos. We have people saying that Tubby’s contract buyout is [...]
