Bryan the Intern’s Picks to Click

by @ 10:00 am. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

1. The 29th ranked baseball team took a respectable 1 out of 3 this weekend over 3rd ranked LSU in Baton Rouge.  The two losses were each by 2 runs.  They then stayed down in Louisiana and took down Nicholls State.  The boys in blue sure do like the boot shaped state, as they play another game today against New Orleans.

2. The UK softball team had a great weekend, sweeping a 3-game series over previously conference undefeated Auburn.  This team is now off to the best start in school history.  And remember, this team has ONE senior on the entire roster.  Big things coming in the future.

3. It appears Hulk Hogan is really not having much fun with his divorce proceedings.  It also appears that the Hulkster may be a scumbag.  Oh yeah, and his wife’s attorney is not gonna back down.  He may be the first attorney (sans Matty Jones) that I have a little respect for.

4. You know, I know I will get blasted for putting another one of these links up here, but maybe if they stopped showing up so often, I would stop publishing them.  In no other sport does something this wimpy happen.

5. I think the greatest battle that goes unnoticed on TV today is between Mel Kiper and Todd Mcshay.  They have a clear dislike for one another and disagree ALL the time and it’s pure old school-new school battle.  Well, if you watched ESPN’s coverage of the bracket’s being released, then you probably caught a new battle: Bilas-Vitale.  It isn’t often you see Dick Vitale so overwhelemed that he gives up the argument.  Well done, Jay Bilas.

Cats by 13 tonight. Go Cats!

  3. SlickRick48 Says:

The Bilas-Vital spat was awesome. Dick was visibly upset and wanted to curse Jay out so bad. Bilas did make the better argument and even used logic! I thought ESPN frowned on that sort of thing?

  4. JaredCarterIsMyHomeboy Says:

    brian is the best

  5. RCFOM Says:

I always enjoyed watching Hulk the wrestling character through the years but him and the rest of his family including his exwife are scumbags.

  6. JerryTownBlotter Says:

    GO CATS!!!

Bilas is in fact a law school graduate. But I think I’m with Jay on this one. This tournament is to determine a national champion. It’s not about the warm and fuzzy feel good stories. It’s about putting the best teams in. Surely in all these teams there are some feel good stories for journalists to write about.

  8. DavidEShelton Says:

I’d like to see the tournament
go back to 16 teams where the
top 16 in the polls are the
    ones that are invited. Of
    course that will never happen.

BTI=Wilbon… If I were to show greg paulus take a dive in a basketball game could I claim basketball was a wimpy sport. All team sports try and cheat the refs. That particular player is retarded for doing that but to draw conclusions about a sport based on that is also retarded.

  10. 081305 Says:

BTI—>You should be compiling some of the idiotic comments we have seen on this site the past few days. It is amazing how passionate UK fans are, but equally amazing how ignorant/uninformed some of them are…especially the ones who post so much that they obviously feel they know what they are talking about.

UK fans should listen to Patterson. It is perfectly fine to be passionate, but don’t sit at home and act like you know what is going on.

  11. bluegrass Says:

BTI should stick to posting links to half naked chicks.

  12. the ghost of Bill Hicks Says:

Kiper vs McShay is some epic stuff…..unlike Brooke Hogan. YUK!

  13. CwisCarolina Says:

Ever see that clip of Hulk and Nick talking about Nick getting his own reality show after he gets out of jail? Hulk went on Larry King after and pulled a McGwire. “I’m not here to talk about the past. Let’s move forward.” Give me a break Hulkster. You must have stopped taking your vitamins and saying your prayers.

  14. TheUniversityOfJodieMeeks Says:

Bryan The Intern calls Hulk Hogan a scumbag on a blog. Big talk little girl.

  15. jon in jeff Says:

OK, maybe i just didn’t hear it, but where is the part in the video where its revealed Hulk is a scumbag? IMOP, Linda is the bad guy here. She’s divorcing Hulk because he didn’t do more to get Nick out of his trouble and now want his money so she can sit on her ever widening butt and live her lavish lifestyle. And exactly how much money did she bring into the family?

  16. mattlipe Says:

Its sad we’ve resorted to the Hogan family to take our minds off of our current state of confusion that is basketball. Remember how Hulk would take a beating and then get to the point that nobody could hurt him or beat him in that match…Maybe that point for us is the NIT this year. I doubt it though.

  17. TheUniversityOfJodieMeeks Says:

#15 - jon in jeff - Bryan the Intern = Wilbon as bluegrass said in #9

Thanks to Matt for explaining Bryan the Intern to a tee in his post yesterday about Wilbon, just exchange Bryan the Intern in place of Wilbon throughout the article.

  18. Blaker Says:

That f’n lawyer deserves the big boot followed by the leg drop, brother!

  19. ItsNotBCGfault Says:

Hulks not the scumbag, its his slutbag wife that is. She bitch is out doing drugs, spending all of Hulks money (YES he is paying for her lawyer! Shes spending $40,000/month on their joint credit cards which Hulk is paying)

If anyone ever listens to BTLS you will know what im saying.

  20. BLAINE-MAN Says:

BTI, You really dropped the ball on this one. If you had done your research you would see The Hulk was the only one who was invested into the relationship. She was trying to divorce him years ago on the show they had because she said she felt like she never got to do all the things she wanted to when she was young because she had a family. She’s a piece of shit….she just was looking to go Skank it out and Hulk was sitting there crying wondering why she wanted to leave him. Poor dude…and he’s the bad guy? come on dude, your better than that.

  21. BLAINE-MAN Says:

We’re (Cats) gonna get our ass’s handed to us 2night more than likely. God Let me be wrong!

  22. CwisCarolina Says:

  23. GummyBear Says:

What about that lawyer do you have respect for, BTI?
Also, how do you figure Vitale was overwhelmed? Vitale is right, Arizona should have never made it in.
