I think WCS has alot more potential and upside than Orton, I expect him to be gone. Poythress & Goodwin returning would be what next years class needs to get it done. This loss may actually be a good thing, they’re understanding they have alot of work to do and are nowhere near ready yet. Tomorrow’s commitment of Randle is what we build on. Stay positive blue bloods.
WCS….man, we need u back but what were u thinking during the game?…36 mins., 4 rebounds, 4 turnovers…your head wasn’t in it either. You are spending too much negative time with Poy, Harrow, and Wusstjer.
Guys, guys…. let’s take a deep breath, be glad its over, and move forward. We are UK, and we damn well won’t be down for long. Next year, we’ll look back and smile. But let’s go easy on the kids and ourselves. The real BBN supports this team through the ups AND downs…
Oh, yeah, one more thing: The haters and trolls are gonna spew their BS, but karma can be a bitch. Remember Louisville, La Salle used to be a good school too, with one National Championship, one National Invitation Tournament Championship, and two Final Fours. Would hate to see the “University of Denny Crum’s Two Championships” fall to that level one day.
I hate this team and everything they stand for(which is nothing) i want harrow trf, Goodwin and poythress gone. Everyone else better decide ASAP if they want to play or not and trf if not
It was not Cals coaching that won it last year. Hell he almost cost us the title game trying to coach in 2nd half instead of just letting the kids keep playing. He can recruit, usually, but has never been a great in game coach. At Memphis he had the luxury of very weak schedules but seldom beat teams his team was equal to. College basketball is at its worse in terms of quality teams and players in over 30 years and we lose in NIT to some guy named Robert Morris. No great coach would ever be in that situation.
Really hurts our argument that we should have been in the NCAA Tournament. On the other hand, maybe we could bring these guys back with the Freshmen we have coming in and run the table next season. #BBN
I’m with you 15. Well said. I hope their are fans there to welcome the team home and show support. Those positive actions are talked about publicly and create an image for future recruits when deciding. Some of these fair weather fans on there would prefer bashing them. It’s over. Time to move on and get ready for next year, and a team that may have a bench and more athletes.
What in the WORLD has happened to Wiltjer. This team NEEDED scorers. I mean DESPERATELY !! Our defense was still decent even after we lost Nerlens. Wiltjer should have been a 20 point per night guy. If Dirk can do it, then Wiltjer should be able to as well.
#16 – Seriously. Please f off, then die. Doesn’t even have to be in that order. We don’t need fair weather f tards like you as “fans”. I sure as hell hope that one day when you stumble and fall, some jack ass like yourself is there to kick the shit out of you while you’re down. Please don’t pollute the gene pool with your worthless DNA. Volunteer for some chemical weapons testing.
Syrin, our defense was far from decent – in fact, it has been terrible all year. Poor offensive teams can still find a way to win if they play defense – Tubby proved that. The fact is that this is by far the worst defensive team that UK has fielded in quite some time. Maybe going back past the BCG era! Playing defense is all about PRIDE and EFFORT, two things that were in short supply with this team.
Agree 33. It also helps when you’re athletic and have.instinct too. When Noel went down, can anyone think of a worse defensive bench than hood, polson, and wiltjer? I give polson some credit offensively but when you throw in mays you have 4 guys who can’t keep their guy in front of them. As the whol team was bad defending off of screens.

I didn’t think I could feel worse than I did before the game.
March 19th, 2013 at 10:37 pm
WCS better stay
March 19th, 2013 at 10:38 pm
Ryan Harrow played 9 minutes…..
March 19th, 2013 at 10:39 pm
I felt worse after the final four game in 1984. A very good team laid the biggest egg of all time in the second half of that game against Georgetown.
March 19th, 2013 at 10:39 pm
If WCS going pro could be comparable to Daniel Orton thinking he was ready to go pro-just sayin
March 19th, 2013 at 10:39 pm
A fitting end to a disappointing season. I officially name this team “The Disappointables”….
March 19th, 2013 at 10:40 pm
Minus the if**
March 19th, 2013 at 10:40 pm
Cauley-Stein and Poythress combined for 6 rebounds. Against a team with only one player 6’8. Says everything.
March 19th, 2013 at 10:40 pm
Really, ryan harrow only played 9 minutes.

we had 14 turnovers to RMU 9. That is pisspoor coaching as these kids have no fundamental skills and bball iq.
March 19th, 2013 at 10:44 pm
When UK wins another title next year will you call that piss-poor coaching?
March 19th, 2013 at 10:45 pm
Once again if we could shoot FREE throws we would have won the game!!!
March 19th, 2013 at 10:47 pm

Willie your 7 damn foot tall and only 4 rebounds in 36 minutes. Hood only play 15 and had 3 boards grow the hell up and man up! 7 foot my ass.

Why did Harrow only get 9 minutes of playing time? He had energy and was hitting shots.
March 19th, 2013 at 11:25 pm
29 – hope to god u are being sarcastic
March 19th, 2013 at 11:26 pm
I can only assume that Wiltjer found weed in the off season instead of the weight room.
March 19th, 2013 at 11:33 pm
#11 you can’t coach IQ otherwise everyone on here would be doing something else.

we hold a team to 59 points…and lose?…we have no half court offense and refuse to run the break…

4 rebounds for cauley-stein against robber morris and he wants to go pro. terrible, say hello to the d league man
March 20th, 2013 at 12:13 pm
Is it just me or did Polson play a very good game? Why did it take us all season to realize he needed to be on the floor?
