How proud am I of UK BB this year? I just left a Ruby Tuesday’s Rest. in Corinth, Ms. I ate in the bar area but left before the game tipped because I didn’t want anyone to ask me who I was rooting for because that would have left the door open for other questions. Pretty bad when u have to travel incognito this year because of our pathetic year.

My frustration level is as high as it can be. This UK team should beat this clown school 100 times out of a 100. This should be no contest. WCS is 7′ tall and cannot score over a 6’7 guy. Mays is nothing more than someone to pass the ball to, his best play has been the feed to Hood for a layup. Archie gets fouled every time he gets in the lane and he needs to keep making em foul him. This pathetic school cannot guard Polsen or Archie and that is our best offense. Damn we couldn’t score 30 its. against this team in a half. Sad sad sad.

Ill take take all the freshman back next year! I the can develope a shot out if Archie and make him more dimensional, push AP into being a more consistent player(he reminds me a lot of jones his freshman year and he turned out alright) WCS just needs more time to focus and to grow as a player and he will be a top 5 pick next year….. Harrow will make a good 3rd option at point behind Harrison and polson…….. If he can accomplish that with those boys this team will be unstoppable next year! The freshman were to raw and to overhyped by the media this and no where as near mature as the freshman I the past….keep fighting big blue!

With every minute it is increasingly looking like this season will mercifully come to an end. Words fail to adequately describe how far we’ve fallen in one year. Honestly, I don’t hate these kids or want to see them fail, but this is without a doubt the most perplexing and disappointing team I can remember in my thirty years of intense following of UK basketball. It just seems like the more they play, the worse they get. If we’re to have any chance of improving next year (not winning championships, just improving, just getting back into the tournament) I think that we need to literally get a whole new and forget this one. These guys just do not know how to play basketball together and they’re going backwards fast.

Gotta think there were some internal issues with this team. The look on Cal’s face says it all-he writes up a play, they don’t even try to execute. Everyone has to be on the same page. It seems like there were two-three guys that weren’t really all there. WCS, Mays, and Cal implied that many times. Harrow must have some sort of depression or mental issues because the poor kid just checks out. Poythress only played wholeheartedly a few times, Duke and Florida being notable examples. And Wiltjer stopped working hard about a quarter of the way through the season. Three guys in your starting lineup that can be a liability on both ends of the floor and a shallow bench will doom any team, especially when one of your three is your starting PG and you run the dribble drive.

It hasn’t seemed to have fully dawned on these kids that a.) their 98% passion-free attitudes are harming their draft status, possibly severely, and b.) even if they decide to stick around another year to improve their draft prospects, they’re gonna face a hell of lot harder competition than Robert Morris, and that competition will come in the form of next year’s UK freshman class. They may never see significant minutes next year. “Future D-League journeymen” may be too generous of a projection.

Thank God the most embarrassing season in UK history is finally over. That cosmically stupid mistake by Poythress on the in-bounds pass was the perfect way to end the season as it typifies why this team is so pathetic. They don’t how to play defense, they don’t work together on offense, they’re just an awful team. I hope that all of these kids go on to very successful and happy lives. And like the rest of us I hope that they’re able to forget about the pain of this season and move forward…cause failing this badly is painful for all of us…but certainly much worse for them.

I am glad to see this be over finally. Polson, Goodwin, and Hood are the ONLY ones I feel gave good effort tonight. I was really disappointed in WCS as I feel he had mailed it in. I would mention Poythress as well but I have grown to expect this effort out of him. Wow. Let’s hope to get the 2013-2014 class another big tomorrow in Julius Randle.

Put a fork in it. The long night has finally come. I think Uncle Julius can sign up for medicare and get his walker back out. The whole game that kid couldn’t drive past a rock. The pump is only helpful if you actually drive. Pump fake to shoot is not sound logic. Polson played great, and too bad Archie did have much help. I am wondering if next week or so, there isn’t a loud boom from the Craft Center from Cal blowing up some scholarships.

Glad this season is over for the fans, but also for the players that tried their best. Polson certainly played his tail off as well as Mayes. Goodwin tried hard but just made too many freshman mistakes.
For everyone saying this team is an embarassment, you are the most embarassing thing about this team. Half of this team just isn’t really good, but don’t question their heart or hustle….they just aren’t any good. Period. That’s all. They just aren’t very good. Now if we had the same team as last year and had the same result then we could question their commitment and heart. This team just wasn’t as good as last year….not HALF as good as last year.
IF THIS TEAM EMBARRASSES YOU, YOU SHOULD BE EMBARASSED FOR THINKING THAT THEY WOULD BE GOOD BEFORE THEY PLAYED ONE GAME!!!!!!!
I’m not embarrassed….after just a few games I could see we were nowhere near the team we were last year. Most fans on here know nothing about basketball but at the first sign of distress you know every fix for everything…..you SHOULD be embarassed to be a make-believe fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.

What game were you watching, that WCS played good. He couldn’t post up on guys smaller than him. He was a non factor in the game at either end of the court. He had the ball under the basket, and was begging somebody to take the ball. He played like a freshmen, at the beginning of the season.
Goodwin was starting to get it. Hood should have played more minutes, earlier in the year. Wiltjer is a liability at both ends, if he can’t shoot over a 6’5″ player. Poythress is not a very smart basketball player. Who recruited Harrow?!!!! Mayes is not a 30 minute a game Div 1 player.
