They are ready for this game in Moon Township, Pennsylvania tomorrow. Robert Morris has cancelled all evening classes for the game and is setting up places around campus for the students to watch as Kentucky comes to town. Also apparently Kentucky is practicing at the school tonight and Pittsburgh television stations are reporting live from the event.
Everybody’s Super Bowl…even in the NIT.
I think I may go

We must win this game, I don’t want to be on Robert Morris programs and cups for the next 10 years if we lose.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:35 pm
If we lose this game this will be the biggest disappointment of a season in the history of college basketball. We have no room to make fun of Louisville for losing to Morehead or Duke losing to Lehigh anymore. This is the biggest game in the history of Robert Morris basketball.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:37 pm
I’ll be there
March 18th, 2013 at 5:39 pm
It took the heart of a child to bring things into perspective for me today. I made the comment that Kentucky didn’t make the tournament and a young man said, “We’re number one in the NIT though!”. He was as sincere as he could be. Maybe we should all try to look at the half full cup.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:40 pm
It should be an excellent game, Robert Morris is one of the best 3 point shooting teams, and it is imperitive we guard the 3 better than we did against Vandy. UK defintely doesn’t want to be their highlight reel for the forseeable future.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:44 pm
I think we are in deep, deep trouble.
There’s no evidence that we will be able match their intensity, and there’s no evidence that we’ll be able to play lock down defense for say, 35 minutes, and that may not be enough.
So I say, we are in deep trouble.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:44 pm
I appreciate a school like Robert Morris acting like this, SEC schools not so much.
Robert Morris has taken their fair share of beat downs in the NCAA tourney and I have never heard them complain.
To have this on their campus is BIG.
Just hope they feel good about losing.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:49 pm
#4. That young man is a genuine UK fan, more than I say for many folks that have posted comments here the last several days!!
March 18th, 2013 at 5:49 pm
Sam you’ve got a good point. I was thinking of the Florida game to try and stay positive, but that was at Rupp. This team will truly have to grow if it is to even advance out of the 1st round, although I do stay hopeful.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:49 pm
8) How many championships does your team have?? Hope the CARDS or Hoosiers get it done for you this year because next year it is back to reality!
March 18th, 2013 at 5:49 pm
The bigger disappointment would have been to lose a “Play in Game” in the NCAA tourney.
It a New season right now.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:51 pm
I think I’m gonna slit my wrists.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:51 pm
Matt, you going to play the media credential card to get tickets?
March 18th, 2013 at 5:55 pm
Roland it looks like Matt will have to play the media card cause its a sell out. (No need to get scalped)
March 18th, 2013 at 5:55 pm
14, just go on a two day drunk. When you wake up, you won’t even know it happened. Less blood that way and saves the CSI team from a lot of work.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:55 pm
Why r we playing Robert Morris?? Cal said they are tough, scrappy, put up threes, and we don’t do any of that. We are satisfied by just showing up. Robert Morris by 8 and UK will continue to sink into oblivion. Cal…these were ur recruits. You have been recruiting good college talent for years and now all of a sudden you had a hiccup because you couldn’t figure out who had “heart” and who didn’t. If Randle doesn’t commit on Wed., you will continue to plummet.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:57 pm
My family relocated to Plano, TX about ten years ago. I am a huge Kentucky fan being from Mt. Sterling originally and an alumnus of UK. Since living in Plano, my wife has become a fairly close friend of Julius Randle’s mother Carolyn and they talk at least once a week. My wife has learned that Julius has indeed committed to KU. Unless his mother is lying (which I highly doubt), they informed Bill Self very recently. We do not know exactly when the commitment was given. You can imagine my disappointment when hearing that from my wife. I really wanted the kid to be a Cat.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:58 pm
16 i think inorder for you to say classic it has to have been done before. Seeing how uk owns louisville basketball in every stat other than losses in the history of both programs im not sure it is classic.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:58 pm
what will you give up if we get beat tomorrow?
i will give up 1 night of beer every week for 1 year if we lose.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:59 pm
I bet the fire marshalls there is fighting over who gets to police this game.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:59 pm
its funny how short term the tards and loosiers memories are.
March 18th, 2013 at 5:59 pm
JT…you can stop posting this in every comment section
March 18th, 2013 at 6:00 pm
If thats true JT I guess there’s still hope for Wiggins. I saw him at the Marshall County Hoopfest and he makes it look so easy.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:01 pm
Omg people we just won the NC last year. We will do it again next year. So we had a shitty year. The guys just didn’t gel. We will be ok. We are Kentucky we still are the great college in basketball history. Remember that.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:03 pm
Do you people really think that we could lose this game. This is a 30 point win. It’s going to be bad.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:04 pm
JT, you talk in Past tense. Randle has NOT committed to anyone on paper Yet.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:06 pm
Yes, Bob Morris has a legit chance to beat The Uncoachables.
Yes, that is a many orders of magnitude beyond humiliating.
But, please raise your hand if you would trade this season, come what has and come what may, for the gleaming Number Eight trophy, the memories of Cal’s four years and the brilliant future for my alma mater in basketball to complement it’s unrivaled history.
OH, all hands proudly elevated?
Thought so…
March 18th, 2013 at 6:08 pm
Why would you relocate to Plano Texas from Mt Sterling? Don’t make sense and if this were true why not go ahead announce instead of procrastinating about it. It would be a big mistake for him going to Kansas I can assure you Kansas will not en come close to winning a national championship next year.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:10 pm
Who is your least favorite UK player of all time? The only one that I can think of that really got under my skin was Rodrick Rhodes. He was the most selfish player we ever had and I can guarantee that if Pitino hadn’t ran him off we would have never won the ’96 championship.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:11 pm
#29: The kid is going to KU, like it or not. I’m not thrilled about it, but it’s a free country. Maybe we will still get Wiggins or Gordon.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:13 pm
Funny how all these trolls forget that we are in this position now BECAUSE we won the national championship LAST YEAR. It must be horrible to win it all and then miss the next year because we couldn’t manage to lose 6 guys to the NBA draft and the best freshman in the country to an injury and still make it into the NCAA tournament. REALITY people.. the reality is, in the past 12 months we have lost 7 guys to the NBA and brought in 6 new players who couldn’t manage to get it all together in 5 months of practice. Is that really a bad place to be?
March 18th, 2013 at 6:14 pm
To echo another comment I posted:
The “Fear Our Future” mantra is haunting us right now.
Won’t be that way in a year from now.
Trolls, Drink UP for this is your last chance for awhile.
Call me out in mid April, 2014.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:14 pm
Here’s the road to gr8ness BBN…never forget!

#31: I did not relocate directly from Mt. Sterling. I am originally from Mt. Sterling. Can you read?
March 18th, 2013 at 6:15 pm
What a joke
March 18th, 2013 at 6:15 pm
As for Randle, if I were given the choice between another year of WCS and Randle, I’d take WCS’s second year 8 out of 10 times. That kid is gonna be GOOD. Especially when he gets some other players to help out and take pressure off him.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:16 pm
They are going to storm the court.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:16 pm
“Classic how Louisville ran you punks out of town!”
Rupp Arena was already going to be host for the tournament regardless of whether or not Louisville made it in or not. Louisville’s presence is completely irrelevant to that equation.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:17 pm
Every coach, media outlet, recruiting guru has been trying to find out where Julius Randle is going to school and know one has found out a thing. Then his mother just tells some random “friend”? That so called “friend” just so happens to have Kentucky roots? Yea all that sounds believable.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:18 pm
WCS is GOOD. Just needs to bring it every game.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:19 pm
“Do you people really think that we could lose this game. This is a 30 point win. It’s going to be bad.”
We could either beat them by 30 or lose by 30. If they show up and play with heart and effort, we win big. If not…it’s up in the air. This is going to be a hostile environment, no doubt…although the gym is small enough that if there are 50 or more UK fans grouped together among all the others they could still be audibly heard so perhaps we still have enough fans to offer a morale boost.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:20 pm
Dee W.,
Warning: you need to be very careful.
You are actually making sense in this forum.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:20 pm
43)WCS is “going” to be good. The kid needs to stay another couple of years. According to the other players, he was not very good during summer pick up games and has came a long way with one year under Cal. If he stays 2 more years he would probably be the number one pick.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:21 pm
JTs probably the same guy that said the Harrison’s were “a lock” for Maryland too…. Same thing with every recruit, everyone on here has a story about who they know and how they know where said recruit is going to school I’m sure the recruits and their parents just keep completely quiet about it except for telling you cause your so special…. Julius will be a cat sorry JT maybe mrs randle doesn’t like you’ll so much?
March 18th, 2013 at 6:22 pm
#42 I agree with you sounds fishy to me as well I mean anything to try and get Kentucky fans going. I do find it comical though.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:24 pm
Anyone on here that doesn’t think Bobby Morris can beat our Kittens must have missed the recent non-efforts at Athens and Nashville.
It is sad.
But, it is true.
No one wishes that on any UK team.
This bunch is the most enigmatic I can recall since Team Turmoil.
Something, someone, somehow undermined the chemistry for most of the season.
I leave it to Cal and the staff to do exactly what he said he would do in today’s PC: take a broom to the malcontents and underachievers and put a representative WILDCAT T E A M on the floor next year.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:25 pm
If you happened to be there for this game, in that playing environment, the Robert Morris Game is going to LOUD!
You won’t be able to hear yourself think.
Media better have the heavy duty muffling devices.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:28 pm
JT sounds believable to me. Too many details for a troll. Besides, members of BBN are all over the country. It would not surprise me at all if he is telling the truth.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:29 pm
maybe we wont be scared of this team and will play aggressive and do well…I hope we score more than 40-50 points…
March 18th, 2013 at 6:29 pm
What? “according to the players”?
I might have seen a little bit of WCS this season this year as lately this LAST month, but I missed the LAST summer performance.
WCS is GOOD!
March 18th, 2013 at 6:31 pm
Some(NBA)will bet Over a million dollars on that.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:34 pm
I don’t think we come away with a win in this. We suck on the road. It’s their Super Bowl, and it’s our… well, it’s our NIT.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:35 pm
Getting Ready for the Cats? shouldn’t be too hard.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:35 pm
Willie made more progress than anyone in the past few seasons not named Jorts.
Practicing against Nerlens with a terrific coach and staff will do that for you.
If we’re lucky enough to have him with Dakari for a year with the rest of the team returning and new, we’ll get all the revenge we can imagine for this aberrant season.
Just depends on so many factors we don’t know anything about.
Would LOVE to see him in blue for another BANNER season.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:36 pm
Live blog for the game, please?
March 18th, 2013 at 6:39 pm
Yea #20 keep telling your story. Funny that Randle has already told self recently he was coming and you are just now coming up with this info? on Wednesday when Randle joins the BBN make sure to tell your wife to make better friends! Randle will be a WILDCAT!! GO CATS!!
March 18th, 2013 at 6:39 pm
Did you know that the Sewall Ceter (basketball arena) at Robert Morris was named for Robert Sewall who donated the funds for the building. Robert Sewall was the inventor and patent holder of the Sewall Sewage System.
Almost all of the sewer tretement plants (turd laundrys) in the US still use the Sewall components.
Who knew that a turd laundry could be so profitable?

THAT’s commenter friendly.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:42 pm
Never trust someone from Plano TX when it comes to recruiting news.
Sometimes they Plano lie!
March 18th, 2013 at 6:43 pm
#59: You are going to be very disappointed.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:47 pm
#59 This is what JT was wanting to Kentucky fans all worked up. No one knows were the kid is going until the 20th rolls around. Jason Jordan of USA Today has been closer to the situation than anyone and he even stated that Kentucky was the team to beat an he would be shocked if Randle went elsewhere.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:48 pm
#63 ok, we’ll see Wednesday. GO CATS!!
March 18th, 2013 at 6:50 pm
#64 I know. I love all the Hating! GO CATS!!
March 18th, 2013 at 6:56 pm
I live in Austin and the UT radio guys here are saying Randle has all but committed to Kansas. They seem to think he was slightly leaning to UT before he visited Lawrence….so go figure. I guess we will know in a few days. so 59,,, I’m not sure how you can be so sure he is coming to Lexington.
March 18th, 2013 at 6:57 pm
I agree with 27: We just won the championship last year; we had an exodus of high level talent; we had all freshman and no returning leadership and didn’t gel; we have an an incredible crop of talent coming in next year; not one true, experienced senior will be lost at the end of this year; if we end up being so bad tha some of these guys are forced to stay a other year and develop then it sets is up with a situation akin to last year
March 18th, 2013 at 7:02 pm
#16 and #19 might be butt buddies. They’re both woefully inept and use some of the lamest nicknames I’ve ever seen. I bet James is Mike’s manager at Burger King. You guys better watch out. If they catch you online while that drive thru gets backed up, they’ll fire you. Then you’ll be living in momma’s basement and stealing her lube for your Card on Card butt loving for the rest of your fat pimples lives.
No pickles on that Whopper. And a chocolate shame with that.
March 18th, 2013 at 7:08 pm
I obviously meant “chocolate shake”…but “shame” is somehow even better…
March 18th, 2013 at 7:12 pm
I have extremely low T and I take sawgrass supplements to help my malfunctioning prostate
March 18th, 2013 at 7:14 pm
Mike thinks he has it bad? I got caught in a Forde/Pitino sandwich. What a mess
March 18th, 2013 at 7:40 pm
Why are my comments “awaiting moderation”?
March 18th, 2013 at 7:44 pm
Mike and James…the…umm…I’m trying to come up with a popular culture comparison for “fat greasy Lousiville butt pirates”…but I’m honestly at a loss.
March 18th, 2013 at 7:48 pm
I think KY will have their hands full with Robert Morris. I really would like to see the big blue win so they could come Back home and have a chance to redeem themselves by winning a couple more games and advancing to the Final Four of the tournament. Win or loose I know overall this year has been very disappointing, especially by not making the NCAA tourney. I would like to see KY end this year on a positive note by playing more unselfish and not crying and acting like a bunch of babies. It’s not Coach Cal’s fault. Watch out for next year 2013-14! Quest for #9.
March 18th, 2013 at 8:15 pm
Which team do you think is most excited about playing in this game? The Cats couln’t get excited about playing in the SEC tournament. It doesn’t look good for them
March 18th, 2013 at 9:41 pm
I have two extra tickets
March 18th, 2013 at 9:43 pm
8. Huge difference in those losses. They were not with the coach we have now. You are making fun of Kentucky for something that happened before even Pitino was there and with a coach we fired pretty quickly. Also, at least Gardner Webb wasn’t in the tournament.
You all kept Pitino. Coach K is still at Duke. Those losses are still part of your recent history. The Gillispie era, despite our recent struggles, is thankfully a revolution ago.
I also guarantee that Lehigh upset is more recent in people’s memories than that 1982 upset. I wasn’t even alive then. That’s even older than your last title.
March 18th, 2013 at 11:44 pm
You go ahead and go MJ and support this abomination of a UK basketball team and make it OK for everyone to accept these POS losers.
