MG this edition of UK wildcats still sucks big time. Almost half way thru first half and we have 8 pts. against a Vandy power house. No wonder all of these teams we play have so much confidence. I really do feel sorry for the UK faithful that spend their time and money to see these cats and have to put up with this BS. We have no outside shot or inside either for that matter…4-15 to start this game. This team is still too easy to hate.

They obviously aren’t good enough to play in the NBA, but if they don’t go this year they won’t have a chance in next years draft (and won’t play if they stay). The NBA doesn’t develop kids, so they are going to be playing overseas or working at McDonalds in 3-4 years.

Mike, you were right and I was wrong. Hopefully we can get back on here next year and I can be right. I stuck by these clowns all year waiting on a run. Only two kids I’d keep off this team for next year are Hood and Polson just so we could have a senior night. I’ve sat through some great UK basketball and some rotten UK basketball, this is as low as I can remember. The SEC tourney is the real loser because outside of Vandy fans there will probably be 28 to 30 people in the stands for the rest of the games. I really hate it for all the UK fans that burned vacation time and money to watch this mess. See ya’ll next year.

We as a fan base have had the good fortune to be spoiled with some truly great teams. The season may not have gone the way we hoped, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to wear the blue and white every damn day. It sickens me to think that perhaps when the rest of the nation thinks of UK fans, they think of you. You’re the worst kind of fairweather fan, and what’s worse, you’re rude and disrespectful. It’s fine if you’re not satisfied with the way the team has played. That’s your right as a fan. But do you have to be so hateful and idiotic? It really gets under my skin that someone like you claims to represent the BBN.
You just have to put this season behind you and look forward to the future. Don’t be so bitter, and don’t act so foolish. It wasn’t our year, and that’s ok. Next year is looking pretty damn good.

I have listened to or watched every UK basketball game since the final four loss to the Hoyas in 1984. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars traveling and watching UK play. My visits to KSR reach at least 10 a day. I love UK but this team is awful. Our guard play is our problem and has been all season. With good guard play a lot of our problems go away. AG and Alex get the ball in position and don’t have to create as much with a decent PG. I have no inside info but there is serious chemistry issues on this team. There have been games when Wiltjer will set a ball screen for Harrow and he does not even look for Kyle. Can not wait for next year. We have some ballers on the way. I did not watch the 2nd half of the UGA game nor did I watch any of the UF game. This team simply does not know how to play basketball. The spacing on the floor is awful and Cal has to tell them every move to make. I have spoken my peace. God bless and have a great night.

Let me begin by saying that I’m very glad that I have a wife, kids and a very beautiful and full life to come home to tonight after this national embarrassment at the hands of a 15-16 Vanderbilt team. All the jokes made at the expense of Kevin Stallings will be on us tonight in one of the most miserable performances in the history of UK basketball. Actually it is quite difficult to think of a more insipid performance in our history. So, now it comes time to write the epitaph on this excruciatingly painful and uninspiring season. What to say? NIT bid? Please, no, decline it so that this team can be no more and so that Cal can go to Gethsemani and take a week or two to meditate and reflect upon how the all-access circus mentality has destroyed our ability to build a fundamentally sound, hungry and determined basketball team less than one-year after we dominated the sport….how the “players first I’d never want to offend an aspiring 5-star basketball recruit” has decimated a coaches ability to mold “ballers” into real basketball players and men who have balls and know what it takes to win….and what an honor and privilege it is to wear the blue and white….etc.etc.etc…I sincerely hope that this is the last basketball game we’ll ever see this group play…not because I hate these kids or want to see them fail…but because they’re not ready for this stage, they never were ready for it, and the circus into which they we’re thrown never gave them a chance….it is time to scrap that script, close out this year, and begin again next year with the business-THE SOLE BUSINESS-of learning how to become a team and win basketball games.

1st I agree defending champs should get an automatic in the next year of the tourney. 2nd I still believe we r in the tourney! 19-10 lost to to possible #1 seeds by 5 beat mizz, and Florida! I have to put this loss on the coaches shoulders, should have made some in game changes much earlier in the game, and should have pressured this team much more! Tough season either way it turns out….

I do believe Poythress will be good in 2-3 years and Archie would be great with better players around him. Wither can only shoot when wide open and WCS will be a beast next year. But harrow has just played worse and worse. Why would he stay to sit the bench behind Harrison? If Noel comes back (which he isn’t) next year the cats would probably have a lock for #9

268//agree. i think cal got caught without a bench this year, thinking his starters were going to be much better than they turned out to be. i think he’ll be more concerned with bench players in the future. i remember one of his first interviews he said he didn’t like to play more than 6 or 7 guys. i bet he’s rethinking that now.

I’m telling you right now, Kyle Wiltjer can’t even guard me!!!! Harrow will be the third string point guard next year behind Andrew Harrison and Polson. Archie is confusing as hell!!! Poythress just disappears!!! Willy and Polson are the only ones playing with heart and a sense of urgency!!!! I think they WILL be NIT bound for sure. Bad ending to and even worse season!!!
