CBS Sports Radio had a little afternoon story on Demarcus Cousins. The reporter took in yesterday’s game and mentioned that Demarcus could possibly be the best center out there but that he was both apathetic and indifferent during the game suggesting that he wanted to be anywhere except on the BB court. Does that remind you of anyone on this year’s team?…must be something in the water.

Goodwin and Poythress are both trying their best to play their way out of the draft! If a NBA team will take them in the lottery they better go because I think they will have the same faults when ever they decide to go pro.
WCS is going to go to,and I don’t blame him at all. That said he needs anther year more the any other freshmen Cal has had. With a year of only BB plus a year in the wieght room it’s scary how good he could be because the kid is Blessed with athletic ability! This draft is weak plus with Lee, Johnson, and possibly Randle coming in his minutes will take a hit even if he improves. Any way the future is bright at UK. We just have to take This year and move on!!!’

This team played great against duke early this year and then just fell off a cliff. I have never seen another team just consistently get worse and worse. They look lost. Dribble drive offense, but no one ever drives except Archie. And Archie doesn’t understand that you have to pass the ball when you drive to the open man. Oh well. Bring on Wiggins!!!

Jon Hood came in and did a good job like he has all season. Played five minutes got three rebounds and made a beautiful back door cut and cannot get back in the game. I just don’t understand how Cal can continue to play these guys that are playing so bad and not give someone who is hustling his ass off and making smart basketball plays a chance.

Please no more in or out talk, its best they are out, too embarassing. They can’t rebound, they can’t play defense, they can’t shoot, they can even make free throws. Which of those can’t qualify this team for anything. Play Hood, Polson, Wiltjer 40 minutes a game, and anybody else that thinks they will return next year, not that I think any of those are going to improve, based upon this year’s performance.

MG I have never HATED a UK team as much as I do this one, and it is easier to hate them more each week. There is such a stench on this team that it is unbelievable. We continue to make every team that we play look like “all world”. This team is totally GUTLESS and Cal continues to look a little more comfortable each week as the losses mount. He needs to give up at least half of his salary to charity. I have never seen UK play such unbelievably sorry A$$ brand of BB, and I hope Florida pounds us by at least 20 even if we win this game.

I am a true blue fan through and through, but this has been the most miserable season that I can remember in many many years. To be on the bubble for the tournament, it has been a pathethic game played by UK. They have absolutely no fight, no hustle, and doesn’t seem like they care if they win or lose. Next year will be just like this year starting from scratch again. Anybody good on this team leaves and we are left with role players at best. Hopefully Randle and Wiggins see what a mess we have and decide that the Fab 7 might just make history. The 1st team with the top 7 players as freshman win the NCAA. You can at least hope can’t you.

Yep, if Cal has any guts (which I question for him playing his heartless 5 star guys over Hood, who at least hustles), he should ask almost all of these guys to not return, that their scholarships will not be renewed. WCS could en up being good with some work and talent around him…keep Polson, and Wiltjer for shooting…but the rest, send them on their way. They have no pride in themselves or for that name on their jersey.

There is not a NBA GM that would draft any of these guys and still have a job! They all better come back and expect to get spot minutes next year and see how they will fair as Juniors for the draft. I’d fire my GM if they drafted WCS, Alex or Archie in the first round.
Hell…Nerlens is a 50/50 draft prospect if we are being honest…he’s got a huge upside but not sure he’d get more than 10 minutes a game next year. Sort of like a Perry Jones type player and he’s been p and down in the D League all year.

Thanks guys!! I have gone to depressed this whole year about our team to actually finding this funny in a morbid way. It is unreal what we have had to watch. Remember last year these guys all talking about coming in and winning a national title this year. I think these kids thought that just coming to kentucky means the red carpet gets rolled out and you win on name alone. Good lord I remember thinking I hope these kids are as good as they think they are. I guess they were wrong.

When we’ve missed the tournament in the last 20+ years, there’s been good reasons, BCG, scandal. But this? Noel got injured sure, but Noel was supposed to be the best player on a great team. There is simple no excuse and I have to say this is the most painful tournament miss that I can recall since I’ve been a fan in the early 80′s.

Cal has brought UK an ELITE 8, FINAL 4, and a NATIONAL TITLE in 3 years. Not to mention made dreams come true more than any other college coach in the last 3 years. He’s raised money for charity’s and relief funds, and he wears the UK colors proudly! 1 down year (college basketball as a whole is awful this year) is not a bad thing. It brings us true fans back to reality. I love how all these other fans hate on us because we are the alpha and the omega, the Goliath vs. David. Facts are that we as UK are still the greatest tradition/program in college basketball and Coach Cal is doin it for us. EAT YOUR HEARTS OUT HATERS!

Just listened to the post game interview with Cal. Same old ‘maturity and discipline’ problem. Who is the one responsible for that? Yeah…we had a couple of good years, but Cal is the one who recruiting the one and dones’, so who is responsible? He’s cutting the cards and hoping for the high card. I’m not sure if that is how you run an ‘elite’ program such as Kentucky is. Besides that…that man is making millions of dollars. Yes…I do expect more!
