[Moderated by Matt Jones, Drew Franklin and Tyler Thompson]
Meet Marcelys Jones, a four-star 2014 offensive guard from Cleveland, Ohio who is currently committed to Ohio State. At 6’5″, 325 lbs., Jones is ranked the 92nd best overall recruit in the 2014 class and the third best player in the state of Ohio by 24/7 Sports.
Jones committed to Ohio State on December 25th, but may be having second thoughts. This morning, Jones picked up an offer from Kentucky, and tweeted this a few hours later:
“Just because you committed don’t mean anything until you sign that letter that’s were most people get lost at.”
Some of the other schools who have offered him: Alabama, Florida State, Maryland, Illinois, Louisville, Michigan State and UCLA.
Watch him work:

Where do we get the notion that just becaquse we extended an offer that he is considering us??

Looks like a mean kid. But are highschool officials that bad that they dont know when a kid slings another kid to the ground that is an obvious hold. That happened at leat a dozen times in that video. By the way at the end of the video he kicks a field goal lol, pretty funny.

Viewing this site on iPhone 4S, every time I load the main page the video player pops up and full screens a KHSAA game and one other video. Havent tried from a desktop or another phone – Anyone else getting this or just me?

Stoops brings US to a good Bizarro world of UK football recruiting.
TOSU commit considering UK after he commits to Ohio State:
Bizarro.

Either the kid doesnt know what a hold is or he doesnt care, i pick the latter…i hope

J. Rowland ie UK’s rival rep is report that the young man has reached out to UK twice within the last 24 hrs and confirmed with him thru twitter that there is real interest in UK.

What is the point of a commitment in football? Looks like the school takes all the risk of having to hold a scholarship for the committed kid and the kid takes no risk. Plus even after the commitment schools are still recruiting you. It’s not this bad in basketball is it?

This big boy remind me of the Blind Side

1) They wait until Justin Rowland at Rivals takes the time to interview kids and speak to actual sources in the football program. He shares his info in HOB and then it finds its way on here within an hour. I wouldn’t have a problem with it if Tyler and Drew would just admit where they get their information from instead of plagiarizing someone else’s work.

Great another one and done who probably only listens to rap music…oh wait. Wrong sport. Nevermind…
March 6th, 2013 at 3:47 pm
9 – What info did we “plagiarize”? I follow the kid on Twitter and saw that he picked up an offer from Kentucky this morning. Justin does great work, and we are always happy to cite his stuff.

LMAO @ the .25 sec mark. He is blocking that kid back to the locker room
March 6th, 2013 at 3:51 pm
kid is legit, and would be worth holding a scholly for until he officially signs elsewhere. 16 or 17 years old, 6’5 325, and the only time i saw him on the ground was due to a pancake block. Barring a career ending injury, this kid will play on Sundays for a long time.. WRITE IT DOWN.
March 6th, 2013 at 3:53 pm
13 – you write it down
March 6th, 2013 at 3:54 pm
Well that’s a high character feller that says “just because you committed don’t mean anything”. Well then, why the hell did you bother to commit until you thought it through? Give your dam word and stick to it. On a side note, I told my ex wife commitment don’t mean anything after she caught me with a stripper.
March 6th, 2013 at 3:59 pm
Tyler must follow a lot of guys on twitter…I hadn’t heard this guys name mentioned with UK until today.
March 6th, 2013 at 3:59 pm
Why does the kid shown have a Ga. jearsey on?
March 6th, 2013 at 4:02 pm
This is the kind of stuff I expect to read about basketball!! STOOPS!!!!!
March 6th, 2013 at 4:03 pm
Typical Glenville recruit, will take all his visits and string people along but will end up at Ohio State.
March 6th, 2013 at 4:12 pm
For Kentucky to be even on this kid’s mind is incredible.
This is unreal, where hasn’t Stoops been?
Apparently Kentucky football has been sleep walking for sixty years. Can’t wait for Stoops to get his team on the field and start kicking some SEC tail. Go Cats!!!

March 6th, 2013 at 6:03 pm
23. You’re right! No one is ever allowed to change positions when they get to college… Ever!!!
March 6th, 2013 at 7:07 pm
hahaha watching him against high school kids is the best. He would be a beast even in the sec
March 7th, 2013 at 12:03 am
#8. Exactly…Michael Oher clone. Laughed my a$$ off at how he man-handled the defensive opponents. Great stuff. Hope he comes to UK.
