Not a fan of all that Oscars hoopla? I actually am, but as I’m manning the deck here, I’m relegated to monitoring the festivities through twitter (according to Jose Canseco, Jennifer Aniston has too much dress on. Without seeing her, I endorse this). If you’re not though, I have a distraction for you.
For the past few weeks, the good people at DraftExpress have been breaking down the top prospects for the 2013 NBA Draft on a weekly basis. This week, Nerlens Noel was their subject, and their profile of him is as in depth as anything I’ve read on the big man. Prior to last night, I wouldn’t have been mentally ready to process any of that, let alone write a post about it. But, I feel that the Mizzou win has allowed me to move on in this post-Nerlens world, and I imagine the same goes for you all as well.
The whole breakdown is well worth a read, and you can find it here. But in terms of a pre-Oscars distraction, the real treat is in the video package they put together, which I’m linking to below. Enjoy. Or, try to at least. It was bittersweet for me watching it– So. Many. Blocks.
DraftExpress: Nerlens Noel 2012-13 Scouting Video (Warning: Stop watching at the 15:00 minute mark. Just trust me. Seriously.)

Umm…so does he get his leg cut off? I mean, seriously the [warning & stop watching] message is a bit over doing it.
It’s sad and yes, we don’t like seeing people hurt but damn, this isn’t like a airplane disaster where people are losing limbs and catching fire.

That breakdown was spot on and personally Noel could use another year at Kentucky to fix those weaknesses
