I hope Shannon plays some more wacky sound effects. I think Matt was on the verge of an epic tirade yesterday. Who was it that was coughing as you guys went off the air yesterday?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:02 am
Have we still not heard from Jay? I think he would’ve called in by now if he was okay. Uncle Matt your tweets during the bachelor crack me up!
February 19th, 2013 at 10:03 am
Who wants to go to Paris?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:03 am
good morning cat fans
February 19th, 2013 at 10:04 am
Does anyone think the cats can turn this season around or am I just dreaming?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:07 am
Lachlan said ” I bet they would like to reschedule” talking about ESPN doing game day at lexington.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:08 am
So it’s time to refresh the website… that’s my point of view.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:09 am
I haven’t been to the spring game since 2008!
February 19th, 2013 at 10:10 am
Does Stoops have a higher approval rating than Calipari right now?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:10 am
Number 5, I believe you are dreaming. This team was winning ugly against bad teams with Noel. Now that Noel is gone, we can expect to see about what we saw Saturday or maybe a little better. Florida and Missouri will throttle UK at Rupp.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:11 am
Matt have u remembered why they said they couldnt push the time of spring game back?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:12 am
Chester is staying positive you already know.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:12 am
10…yeah that’s what I really thought.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:12 am
Season is not over yet I’m staying positive
February 19th, 2013 at 10:12 am
The general consensus among my friends and family is that it’s over in terms of a tournament berth. We are trying to take comfort in the last 3 years and just accept what this year has been and will be.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:13 am
Matt, did you just talk about the Cats winning 4 or 5 more games?
I’m sorry you missed the game Saturday, you should look at the replay.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:14 am
Only 53 days until the Spring game…Yes!
February 19th, 2013 at 10:14 am
“Gloom, despair and agony on me ” is beginning to border on the number of KSR references as ” bigg butt guys.”
February 19th, 2013 at 10:14 am
Did Matt watch the same game as everyone else on Saturday? If that team shows up for the rest of the season, Cats are not winning a game.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:15 am
I really hope John Short can go on that cruise.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:15 am
Ryan should love that cruise because everyone was peeing in the showers.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:15 am
I think winning the SEC tournament isn’t a totally ridiculous thought either. We could have our backs against the wall, which would add some desperation. We’ll be in Nashville, which was a major homecourt advantage the last time we wer there. And there’s only 1 team that’s any good that we’d have a hard time beating on a neutral court (Florida). If they’re on the other side of the bracket and perhaps get a little disinterested, like a lot of the top teams do in conference tourneys, we might not even have to beat them to get the auto-bid.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:16 am
1. We haven’t played good enough & frankly we aren’t good enough to be in the tournament. 2. At this point why would we want to be in the tournament just to get beat early? 3. Apparently our players don’t want to be in or play in the tournament because they sure don’t act like it, and their lack of apparently even caring shouldn’t be rewarded. 4. If our players don’t want to be in the tournament, than why should we? 5. Unless you’re a glutton for punishment; why in the world would we want to extend this disaster of a season longer than needed?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:16 am
I will still be in Nashville Cheering the cats. And maybe playing golf for the weekend!
February 19th, 2013 at 10:16 am
hey matt, the cancun saying got him shipped immediately by shaq and kupcheck, it ended up costing him a couple of titles.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:16 am
I had a fear creep up last night. Will Harrow, Poythress, and Goodwin pull an Orton and blow off classes this Spring and screw up UK’s GPA?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:17 am
I’m sure drew franklins carpets at his house are urine and feces soaked so he will feel right at home
February 19th, 2013 at 10:17 am
Ryan harrow looks like a little kid. He needs something to eat & tell everyone he’s really 5’10″
February 19th, 2013 at 10:17 am
is this an historic day? did uk_jb got beat on the show thread? has lou gehrig stepped in for wally pipp?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:17 am
I support the team and watch them but it is very painful and I have little faith they will make the tournament let alone go .500 the rest of the season.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:18 am
haha is the Courier Journal really advertising during Kentucky Sports Radio?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:20 am
THIS WEEK will determine if we have a chance to get into the NCAA tournament, or if we have a chance to even win 1 game in the NIT tournament.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:21 am
Let’s say we don’t make the tournament. Does that mean most of these guys skip the draft and come back. And if that happens does Coach Cal get his 40-0 season??
February 19th, 2013 at 10:21 am
IF 10, 12 and 22 keep playing like they have played all season, then we don’t have a chance.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:21 am
Where can we get more info on the KSR cruise?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:22 am
Dude we need to focus on beating Vandy. We snuck outta that 1st game. We cant be too focused on Missouri and let Vandy bust our bubble.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:22 am
Matt, I have been as positive as anyone about this team but come on….. Did you watch the game Saturday? They looked terrrible. How can that team beat Georgia, Arkansas and Missouri????
February 19th, 2013 at 10:22 am
Matt, Team performance/outcome doesn’t necessarily fully reflect coaching performance. This very well could be the hardest he has ever coached, but for whatever reason the team just can’t put it tohether for him.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:23 am
Does Michael Porter have any eligibility left? Does the Fayette County Jail Cell Block Intramural League count against a player or is that only if they are taking correcpondence classes?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:23 am
There is no way anybody should think this season is over! Yeah Saturday we got be and we got beat bad! But that was are first game with out Noel! Bbn js needs to believe in this team and support them and not turn are back on them. We can make the tourney no doubt in my mind..we may not blow out teams by 15 or 10 but we will fight and find ways to win and end up in the tournament. Go big blue!!
February 19th, 2013 at 10:24 am
I can’t stand Toby Keith. I like his 90′s stuff.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:24 am
26) Poythress is a very smart guy, cant see him skipping out. Harrow is 3 years in and surely realizes the NBA isnt in his future, therefore needing a degree. I do see archie saying forget it, but hopefully the coaching staff makes sure he completes the semester.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:26 am
Give that coach red hair and she would be Flo from the tv show, Alice. Right after that picture she told Geno to “Kiss my grits”. She probably also dates truckers only.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:26 am
If we come out and smash Vanderbilt on Wednesday night, how much will the mood change for the fan base? I imagine quite a bit even though Vandy stinks. I think one dominating performance could get the ball rolling in the right direction and give the team confidence.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:29 am
Danny vs. Kevin…this is going to be good. Haha
February 19th, 2013 at 10:29 am
Trace Adkins’s college crush…
DAT ASS
February 19th, 2013 at 10:30 am
I have about as much faith in Danny bringing it to Kevin as I do the men’s team making the tourney.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:30 am
If certain players don’t leave for the NBA, is there a chance they transfer and sit out a year to skip next years draft class?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:31 am
Kevin Slapnuts is a freakin joke. He’s never been funny. He makes me want to turn this show off. At least dumb a$$ Handsome Jimmy was a guy you could laugh at. Kevin never adds anything to this show. I’m sure he can find other shows to be a loser on.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:31 am
Staged radio debate = Jerry Springer radio.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:31 am
I am looking for 3 tickets for Saturday. If you are selling email brandoncpainter@gmail.com
February 19th, 2013 at 10:33 am
Kevin doesn’t make me want to turn the show, I just do automatically. I don’t know why we give a platform to this attention-starved ass clown.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:34 am
Kevin works??? Hahahhahahahahahhaaaaa!!
February 19th, 2013 at 10:35 am
Slapnuts is pretty good usually, however, he does usually bring the same gig. “I done told you…” I get that you’ve been right sometimes but coming for gratification the 1 of 4 times you’re right and never saying your wrong… kind meh.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:35 am
Amen #52.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:36 am
I actually think Jerry Springer radio would be funny.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:37 am
Moonshine in the parking lot for Ryan. Lol.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:37 am
Beware of Versallies Road at Kneeland with the spring meet.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:39 am
Please don’t forget to mention that the highest ranked team at UK hosts Tennessee on the day of the spring game as well. Wildcat Baseball would love the support.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:39 am
We need A’dia Mathies to take over for Harrow in these last few games. She’s a WINNER!!!!
February 19th, 2013 at 10:39 am
I would also add this year’s team does not have the same work ethic. But I am still on board with the CATS and going to the games this week at Rupp.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:40 am
Got my tickets and ready to party. NO was a blast year and this year in Nashville is going to be awesome
February 19th, 2013 at 10:41 am
I know a TON of people that were planning on going that have decided not to.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:42 am
I’ll go ahead and tell ya. NO FREAKIN WAY UofL wins it all this year. Easily 10 teams better than them this year.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:44 am
Of course Matt is wrong, the game as of now is scheduled for Saturday.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:44 am
My husband & I will see you in Nashville KSR team. Totally agree, the SEC tourney is FUN! and Nashville just makes it better
February 19th, 2013 at 10:46 am
If anyone is looking for tickets to College Gameday that morning, hit me up. Go Cayts
February 19th, 2013 at 10:46 am
The Western game is on Sat. Aug 31st.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:47 am
Matt, pretty sure that Vandy just beat a&m at a&m… May be tougher than u think
February 19th, 2013 at 10:48 am
After a 17 point loss and a 30 point loss how can we say that we should beat anyone. With this offense and screen door defense I really couldn’t say that we should beat anyone. Also, can we say the Vandy game was a fluke? My God look at LSU, etc.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:48 am
UK Athletics, UK vs. WKU 8/31/2013, time TBA. Of course that doesn’t mean that it won’t change. Matt, wrong again, it has always been on Saturday.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:49 am
I’m hoping to get to a live radio show while in Nashville. I have been to 3 straight SEC tourneys, but still haven’t made it to a show yet. I just hope the CATS are playing long enough for this to happen.
Where will the live shows be?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:52 am
Let’s be honest: We have no idea what will happen tomorrow night.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:53 am
It sucks that this team has not come together so far, but it would be so much worse if we had not won a national championship and gone to the FF two straight years. Every program has a hiccup now and then. For me, the pressure is off, and I am going to continue to pull hard for this team in the hopes that the light goes on and they turn it around and win a few games. I think it is just a crisis of confidence for these kids, and maybe we as fans need to get on board and support them instead of being so negative. If they stink it up the rest of the year and the season ends early, then that is the time to let them have it. Until then, we need to show the nation that we are the best fans in the world and get behind this team. If not, we will look like spoiled, bad fans to the rest of the country.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:53 am
Matt…Say what you will about the women’s game , but I sure wish the men played with the enthusiasm and smarts as they do…
February 19th, 2013 at 10:53 am
This team will be lucky to win 1 more game. No ternament of any kind in the future for this team.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:54 am
Matt, You missed it..Ryan, said “Laissez-faire Fans”, I guess fans free from tariffs. Free Market Fans! Awesome!
February 19th, 2013 at 10:54 am
Not trying to be a downer, but winning the NIT will not be a walk in the park. You make it seem like we will automatically make the finals just being there. That is why I take the play-in game
February 19th, 2013 at 10:54 am
I would much rather play in the NCAA Tournament. That would signify we had a solid ending to the season with these guys. That doesn’t look to be the case right now and would be quite the pleasant surprise.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:55 am
Oscar’s like Forrest Gump showing up in historical photos.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:55 am
So they have 1 win over a ranked team
February 19th, 2013 at 10:55 am
Waiting to hear Matt’s take on the Doug Show/Cal situation during game Saturday. Yesterday you said you’d address it on Tuesday.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:55 am
Here’s the picture Matt is talking about http://matchbin-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/public/sites/491/assets/45_years_after_Kennedy_poverty_remains_key_issue_in_E_Ky_0_1361212914.jpg
February 19th, 2013 at 10:57 am
I totally agree with that caller. There is nothing cool about playing in the NIT. No matter how “different” the atmosphere is, you still have it in the back of your mind that the game is meaningless.
February 19th, 2013 at 10:58 am
agree with 78. You act like the nit championship is assured & with this team, nothingis assured. the question should be, would you rather lose the ncaa play-in game or the third round of the nit?
February 19th, 2013 at 10:59 am
Billy Blanks – thanks for posting the picture. Oscar was a high roller then…and he’s still a high roller today
February 19th, 2013 at 10:59 am
Re: NIT. I went to the UNLV-UK game at Memorial. It was rocking. I booed very loudly at every Rebel free throw and they went 0-8 from the line in the first half. It was a really fun night.
And I would still rather be in the NCAA every single time.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:05 am
Matt, UK should check with Keeneland about moving the Bluegrass Stakes race up a couple of races on the race card. It’s not like Keeneland is going to lose money at their non-profit organization. This would help get people to the spring game on time.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:06 am
Here we go with Travis spewing his crap again. Dude, you’re not funny.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:06 am
Matt, I was just cleaning out my wallet and found my Orange Leaf rewards card, which is entitled “the OUNCE BACK card”.
Only Calipari could conceive a way to promote his both his book and his frozen yogurt with a simple piece of plastic.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:07 am
Everyone can agree that it would be better to play in the NCAA vs. the NIT. The question is would you rather play in play in game and LOSE vs. making the finals of the NIT. To me the play in game isn’t the real tournament. So I would rather make the finals of the NIT.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:08 am
Alan Cutler in that photo would be greatness.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:09 am
Matt..How many Refs bring their families to games, Shows had his at the game Saturday
February 19th, 2013 at 11:09 am
Matt, don’t forget Showes gave UK 3 Ts during the game vs Tenn. Thats a lot of Ts throwing around.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:10 am
Matt…#1 reason we don’t want to go the NIT: I don’t want to hear it from the dirty birds (Yall aint even make it to the tournament, blah blah blah).
February 19th, 2013 at 11:10 am
What are we going to do about this? Why can’t we send Drew Franklin to Birmingham for interviews with the SEC about Doug Shows screwing up calls?
February 19th, 2013 at 11:12 am
Robic was the smartest man in the arena. He figured out a way to not have to sit there and watch that game.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:12 am
If he does get another UK game it certainly won’t be at Rupp. He would take so much abuse.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:12 am
I like Doug Shows’ s nickname “Showtime Shows.”
He was trending nationally on Twitter. Referees should not be trending.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:13 am
Matt, don’t forget Showes gave UK 3 Ts during the game vs Tenn. Thats a lot of Ts throwing around.
More proof that refs are humans that have bias toward people/teams like everyone else. Refs have too much power and control the game to much. There is no one to referee the referee.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:14 am
Give it a rest Travis. Not funny. Go do some work or something.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:15 am
Anyone else recognize this guy on ESPN in the midst of whats happening at CAL
Matt Scherbenske
http://www.calbears.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/scherbenske_matt00.html
February 19th, 2013 at 11:15 am
Ryan is almost right there. The refs don’t “kind of have to work as a team”, they MUST work as a team. I’m a ref at the high school level and you are to always work as a team to do your best to always get the calls right. Getting that call wrong is a big-time embarrassment to that crew and I’m sure the other refs were not happy with Shows.

February 19th, 2013 at 11:16 am
I’ve been trying to get through but the phones are busy so I’m just going to post it here. I’ve got two points.
1. I don’t feel like I know this team. The last three teams, I’ve felt like I knew those guys. Like if I saw them out in public, I feel like I could go up and talk to them. For some reason I don’t feel that way about this team, except for maybe Noel, Polson, and Wiltjer.
2. Something that has bothered me all season about this team is effort. I feel like I can offer a bit of a different perspective on this. I’m a paraplegic and use a wheelchair; it drives me absolutely nuts to see these kids have such athletic and able bodies, but at times they don’t seem to really even care. I don’t think some of them realize where they are, and the opportunity that they’ve been given.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:16 am
Matt, can you address SEC officiating in general? The head ref is still Gerald Beaudreaxxxxxxx, who was one of the worst refs on the floor every game when he was in the active ref rotation. A business or professional culture takes after its leadership, and antil someone competent is in charge, there will continue to be these travashamockerys impersonating officials, ruining competitive play in the SEC year after year.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:16 am
What??? That was a really good Dicky V.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:16 am
If you rewatch Shows screw up watch when Cal brings Shows and the other ref together for explanation. Read the lips, Cal ask the other ref “so you said it was our ball?” And the other ref responds yes, then watch Shows reaction. He’s horrible
February 19th, 2013 at 11:16 am
Matt, What does the “swagger” look like for next years team? And if some of this years guys come back, can they develop said “swagger” ?
February 19th, 2013 at 11:17 am
I thought it was pretty good too
February 19th, 2013 at 11:17 am
not too bad. If I closed my eyes and stood in the other room, I can hear it
February 19th, 2013 at 11:18 am
I actually thought DJ did a pretty good Vitale.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:18 am
Umm Matt, that was a good Dickie V..
February 19th, 2013 at 11:18 am
This WHOLE team, but especially Harrow and Goodwin, would get the best results by simply focusing on playing tough defense and forget about worrying about offense. We can create plenty of offense just by playing good defense. That is what has been the most frustrating thing about this team – uncontested layups and dunks by the other team.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:19 am
The Wall, Cousins, Bledsoe and Patterson dripped swagger. Appropriate the intro song was ” Swagga Like Us.” #TIP
February 19th, 2013 at 11:19 am
Matt – the Simon Cowell of impersonations. That guy is now crying in his bathroom somewhere.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:19 am
Dickie V was there bashing the UK fanbase early this season when we were upset with the team. Dickie V is alright but I get tired of him telling fanbases what they should think. BBN isn’t the avg fanbase, we may go overboard sometimes, but typically we have a good understanding of what kind of team we have.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:19 am
A former Vols starter from the 80′s (Kevin Woods) runs my son’s league over at HOOPS in Louisville. He was bragging the other day about the ass-kickin’ that happened Saturday. He did make a point to say, however, that he had to brag now because the Vols will have no chance in hell of beating the Cats next year.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:20 am
Should we be worried about Jon Scott? He usually updates bigbluehistory.net right after every game but still hasnt updated the site since before the TN game. thats a first!
February 19th, 2013 at 11:20 am
Right…it was the Dicky V from the radio. Not Dicky V from a ball game.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:21 am
Let’s see if Matt can do better than this guy. Doubt it.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:21 am
I listen and post most days, and I keep hearing about this KSR cruise, but have no clue what everyone is talking about. Can someone please explain?
February 19th, 2013 at 11:22 am
THAT is terrible.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:22 am
Dick Vitale is like Howard Cosell. Anyone can do the schtick.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:22 am
119. He’s been busy counting all the turrible records that were broken
February 19th, 2013 at 11:23 am
Yeah see that guy’s was pretty decent…but Ryan’s was awful
February 19th, 2013 at 11:23 am
Matt – you had your mind made up before you even let him do it. You were going to crush him either way and the others are right, it was actually pretty good (for the few seconds we heard).
February 19th, 2013 at 11:23 am
Ryan as Dicky V = “turrible” – me as Barkley
February 19th, 2013 at 11:23 am
I was not being funny, bitch. I was tryjng to be nice and hook up some BBN fans with an extra set of gameday tix.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:24 am
#122 – They will be having a picnic lunch cruising down the KY River on the Dixie Bell launching from Shaker Village. John Short will be piloting the boat and Butt Rub BBQ will be served.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:24 am
Matt did you see Bobby Knight is gone, no more espn next year…good night Knight…
February 19th, 2013 at 11:24 am
I agree with Matt, anyone can do Dicky V (except Ryan apparently).
February 19th, 2013 at 11:25 am
I sure hope Cal listens to this show so he will know what to do to improve this team.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:25 am
That is really good Vitale!!!
February 19th, 2013 at 11:25 am
He’s not that bad. Much better than the first one. He has the accent down.

Pretty good Dickie V job.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:25 am
He just validated it…he needs to call in as Fake Dick Vitale
February 19th, 2013 at 11:26 am
Awesome dicky v
February 19th, 2013 at 11:26 am
I’d rather listed to the ticket contests than any Vitale impression.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:26 am
Get that foot out of your mouth Matthew!
February 19th, 2013 at 11:27 am
Matt, he was great I thought, sounds just like Dickie V after he has been screaming for an hour at a game………. Both times!
February 19th, 2013 at 11:27 am
130. I’m in if Tha Trooff goes
February 19th, 2013 at 11:27 am
You were wrong… that’s my point of view.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:27 am
137) I feel a new fake caller coming on. It’s been a while.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:30 am
Bottom line is that Archie needs a shot doctor. Just jacking up more shots is not a good thing for him because he is just repeating bad habits. He is an awful outside shooter for a guard — one of the worst I’ve ever seen at the college level.

Rockfield, KY – WLAP is selling an Alaskan cruise pkg that leaves July 26 from Seattle for 7 days and then takes a train thru California wine country. The commercials only air on WLAP.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:31 am
Matt that CJ article about Noel was just guessing and is unprofessional journalism on a kids injury that was less than a week ago.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:32 am
Matt reminds me of Walter in the Big Lebowski a lot “Am I wrong?! Am I Wrong!?”
February 19th, 2013 at 11:32 am
I think Matt is like me. I’ve only been wrong ONE time. Thats the time I thought I was wrong about something but ended up being right.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:34 am
Matt – Koodooz to you for owning up to your mistake.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:35 am
What’s up with 1450 in Louisville? That station changes it’s schedule it seems every week.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:35 am
What I took away from that interview with Archie was that he didn’t have a clue about the corrections he needed to make to his form, he was just “getting up more shots”–meaning repeating the same bad habits over and over again. Until somebody shows him he needs to get his elbow up over his head to put more arch on his shot and has him practice that over and over again his shot is not going to improve.

Welcome Kentucky Sports Radio (eventually) to my native Maysville.
I wonder where Matt ended up having dinner Friday night?
February 19th, 2013 at 11:36 am
Matt, have you given up on WSGS 101.1, Hazard?
February 19th, 2013 at 11:37 am
I broke a dinner plate.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:38 am
OMG. Matt did you just say someone had a Doug Shows syndrome? Look in the mirror my friend.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:38 am
Speaking of Louisville media, your boy, Billy Reed took a shot at you on the Deener show this morning.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:39 am
If I was coaching Archie I would spend a lot of extra time just helping him with his form. His shooting well would seem to be a vital element to UK’s overall success.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:40 am
Not sure what is more amazing: Matt Jones being the first man to admit he’s wrong OR the possiblity of KSR on in Paducah!
February 19th, 2013 at 11:40 am
John David Dyche’s last name is pronounced like Dike. Just FYI.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:40 am
That Spring Game is going to be packed. Full day of tailgating with tv for some off track betting on Keeneland.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:41 am
157 – yeah, I heard that. It was a flippant comment from Billy about how unworthy Matt was to be at the mock NCAA selection event. Drew didn’t really respond and they moved on.

The growth plate is called the epiphyseal plate and actually allows space between bones for them to grow together. Once someone starts to mature, the plate slowly becomes part of the original hard bone taking away the space. It being broken shouldnt cause problems now since it should be a part of the original bone. And yes, I stayed in a holiday inn last night.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:41 am
A lot of people go that day to Keeneland to see that race. That’s a big-time race and a key Derby prep. People like to get a view of some of the upcoming Derby horses.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:41 am
I think it was the TAMU game.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:44 am
164 – I really don’t think most of the people attending are thinking about the Derby and the ability to watch potential Derby horses. It’s a social event, plain and simple.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:44 am
Ryan’s Dickie V impersonation reminded me of every Norm McDonald impersonation on SNL… They sounded like him doing a terrible impersonation.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:46 am
Regarding horse racing, did anyone see the performance of Baffert’s 3-year-old horse — Super Ninety Nine — yesterday in the Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn? He’s surely one of the favorites for the Kentucky Derby right now considering he won in a major romp.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:46 am
DJ is the voice of a generation.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:48 am
“Fishing is not about math.” Thank God for Ryan.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:48 am
KSR cruise…haven’t heard a promo yet on a Louisville station yet….not even KJ during show hours. When? Want info!!
February 19th, 2013 at 11:49 am
VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 19th, 2013 at 11:49 am
166 — A large amount of the attendees on that day are certainly very interested in the Bluegrass Stakes and will not be leaving before the race. I agree there are a lot of people there for the social event, but on that day there are a large percentage there to watch that race.
February 19th, 2013 at 11:52 am
Win one for the flat top
February 19th, 2013 at 11:53 am
Doug Shows also called the techinal foul on Willie Cauley Stein
February 19th, 2013 at 11:55 am
So, let’s get this strike thing going again
February 19th, 2013 at 11:55 am
Yeah, Matt KNEW they were going to win the title in the preseason, yet he was pacing all over the Superdome in the last three minutes of the semifinals, afraid they were going to lose to U of L!
February 19th, 2013 at 12:01 pm
173 – I don’t disagree that a lot of people are there for the race, but I think it’s more because of the build-up and spectacle than their actual interest in the horses (separate from their rooting interest in a winning ticket). I’d venture to guess that the people that actually recognize or care about the Derby ramifications is a pretty small percentage. Just my opinion.

Go Big Blue, !
