Windsor Losses

by @ 1:00 pm. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

I try to refrain from giving fashion advice to anyone, but after studying Calipari’s game-by-game attire this season, I think it’s time to speak up.

Lose the tie, Cal.  Let those Italian locks of chest love breathe.

The game results support the casual look:

[Blue: No tie]

Kentucky is 5-1 this season when Calipari leaves the tie at home; 12-7 when he gets all knotted up.  He debuted the tie-less look against LSU, which sparked a five-game conference win streak with consecutive road wins over 16th-ranked Ole Miss and at Texas A&M. UK’s only loss with Cal’s top button unfastened came on the road at No. 7 Florida, the best team in the SEC.

He brought the tie back out, after almost an entire month on the rack, against Tennessee on Saturday. We all know how that worked out.

No more ties, Coach.

One Undone.

  4. BlewHare Says:

It wasn’t the tie,it was the uniforms. First time in modern history the players names wern’t on the back resulted in the most inept performance in modern history. I rest my case.

  5. rml4uk Says:

4 – What about the black jerseys honoring Bill Keightley that said Keightley on the back?

  6. I'll go happy for Wiggins Says:

What if Wiggins is only coming the night of the MSU game to make sure he watches a win??

    Windsor Losses. That’s funny.

  8. MemphisCat Says:

Whatever works and turns this season around and get us to the dance. I really don’t want to watch the NCAA tourney and instead of playing, Cal is on ESPN talking about the tourney, but that would be more exposure for the program and for recruiting.

  9. RahRah Says:

    A+++ on the title.

  10. Gap Tooth Danny Says:

Superstition…it’s only crazy if it doesn’t work.

  11. Bicycle Seat Sniffer Says:

This is why KSR and, more importantly, Drew Franklin are awesome.

  12. SeaCat Says:

He looks better with the tie.
You can’t depend on statistical analysis
until you have at least 20 events.

  13. theWilkman Says:

If he would man-up and tie a double-Windsor we’d be undefeated.

  14. njCat Says:

Maybe Cal can give Matthew a tie tieing lesson. Thats a pretty sweet crease.

  15. RealCatsFan Says:

Oh, I only wish the solution to this team’s problems was as simple as a wardrobe adjustment…

  16. KentuckyRosie Says:

    This post is so punny

  17. Fitch Slap Says:

Kentucky is undefeated in games where they score more than their opponent. Fact.

  18. Flint Says:

It feels like an eternity since the Maryland win.

  19. Fitch Slap Says:

Also, if this wasn’t Drew’s post you all would be destroying it right now.

  20. Roland Says:

It is not the Tie Knot that “Makes” a look, it is “How it was TIED”.
Very bad “Windsor” in the pic.
    Un even
