For Pete’s sake we are coming off a national championship season and lost every player. I’m ok with a down year. Give Cal and the players a break. They are not as good as last years bunch and they were not supposed to be. Coach has truly spoiled us as fans. Hell all the great schools have down years. Name one school that hasn’t?

Ryan Harrow is not equipped to lead a Division I basketball team. I agree with #6. Let Alex and Archie reside on the bench. Perhaps a transfer is in order for them. Willy does have some potential and seems to be teachable.

Are the Uk fans ever gointo realize that this year’s team is not a typical UK team? That they now without Noel are just not a very good team. They may not win another game this year.
Well at least the other SEC team fans and players are very, very happy. Tenn players acted like they had just won the NC.
If the NBA wants to pay these players millions of dollars after this year more power to them.

The truth is Calipari’s inability to coach is getting exposed this year. For the last 3 years his inability to coach was masked by raw talent and this team is just not that talented. I bet if they could take back their decision to come to BBN they would because their not talented enough for the NBA and they certainly will be on the bench next year with the class coming in. Harrow, Polthress, and Goodwin has checked out. Cal is a great recruiter too bad we hired him to coach as well.

Ryan & his voice are not strong enough of a leader to lead a visit to the bathroom. Archie needs to go apply at McDonalds because he will never make it in the Pros anywhere with his attitude. Alex has no passion or heart; why is this kid even on the team. WCS is apparently not smart enough to know when to keep his mouth shut & stay off Twitter.
Say what you want, at this point we are just going through the motions until the season is over; the season is officially over.

i agree with WCS. ……not sure i would to play at UK b/c the fans are not really behind the team…….we are 17-8 and people are acting like we are 5-21…….i know this team is not as good as.we thought they would be and up to “UK standards” as many “fans” would say……its almost embarrassing right now to be a UK fan……..all i get to do everyday is explain to other fan bases why our fans are so ridiculous to the point they ridicule our own places on Facebook and twitter and other publications such as here that our own players probably read

I like that call by Danny, and I’ll be honest this team shouldn’t be this bad but Cal has tried hard to get Ryan Archie and Alex to play and he can’t do it for them. We are really really young and I’ll tell you this group just didn’t have the superstars like the wall, cousins, bledsoe, knight, Davis. Missing on some key guys hurt them. Also will a Ryan Harrow and a Archie Goodwin hurt next years chemistry.

I have an issue with the posters that say that the players could do better if they would play harder. These players do play hard they just don’t have really good talent.
WHY CAN’t SOME FANS ADMIT THIS. sOME SEEM TO THINK THAT NOT TRYING IS THE PROBLEM. They were averaging around 70 points until today. Must they be trying harder? Noel meant more to this team than people actually realized.

I can’t stand listening to Chris from Richmond. Yelling “THE SKY IS FALLING AND I’M FREAKING OUT” is just obnoxious and makes me mute the show, checking in occasionally until he’s done.
Think about this: our team is missing its best piece. Imagine last year if we had no Miller, MKG had decided to go elsewhere instead of UK, and AD got hurt in the middle of the year. Don’t you think Teague, Jones, Lamb, and the rest of the guys would have been devastated and hung their heads for a game or two?
I’m not one of the “we need to get mediocre players so we’ll have experience” guys, though I do think we need more players. I think Cal has had extremely good luck (combined with good conditioning) with player health over the years, and his short-rotation philosophy reflects that. I wonder if he’ll shift his philosophy a bit, or at least take a few more high-quality walk-on players.

Look at most of the freshman around the country…..how many freshman really contribute….we have just been spoiled by cal picking the right ones every year…..this year he picked a few that are gonna take longer to develop……………but anyone who gets on here and says a player does not deserve to wear a UK jersey or they are not living up to “UK standards” needs to move out of their parents house and find something else to do.

Can’t blame kids. But there is a certain, highest paid in all of NCAA BBall who can be blamed. Winning it all does not constitute the same expectation the following season. being the highest paid does however constitute putting a quality product on the floor every season and that is far from what can be seen right now, with or without Nerlens.
