That’s Gate 3 outside the O’Connell Center in Gainesville, where students started lining up for tonight’s game at 8 a.m. Because nothing can’t happen in life now without a Twitter hashtag, they’re updating their experience via #OccupyGate3. Apparently Florida AD Jeremy Foley just brought everyone free Subway sandwiches.

Oh how adorable, Florida fans pretending to care about basketball for the one night of the year that UK comes into town.

Where were these “fans” when the Gators were struggling to get 4,000 to come to games earlier this season?
February 12th, 2013 at 1:53 pm
Looks like it’s already jorts weather there!
Hopefully Subway is as close to home cookin as they get today. But I’ll go ahead and assume we get Shows, Cahill & TV Teddy on the whistle…

Anyone ever notice the town of Gainesville smells like a corn dog
February 12th, 2013 at 1:54 pm
Ya call that a line?? Hell, just for a glorified practice (Big Blue Madness) we have folks camp out for days in advance and the area is packed!!!
February 12th, 2013 at 1:55 pm
I hope the Cats come prepared to handle the most hostile crowd they have faced. Would love to see them put a beating on the Gators.
February 12th, 2013 at 1:58 pm
Only the Florida Marlins are impressed with that line.
February 12th, 2013 at 1:59 pm
No classes in Florida today? Go Cats!
February 12th, 2013 at 2:01 pm
Hah, even when we’re relatively awful, we still stir the pot for the conference.
February 12th, 2013 at 2:02 pm
You think they will have tickets at the gate like normal? Not if the Cat fans in FL have anything to say about it! Go Cats!
February 12th, 2013 at 2:02 pm
who cares anything about Florida or their fans. GO BIG BLUE
February 12th, 2013 at 2:03 pm
Well played #7…well played
February 12th, 2013 at 2:03 pm
That’s a pretty weak #OccupyGate3 movement
February 12th, 2013 at 2:05 pm
The Florida AD bought everyone free sandwiches? Who would buy something that is free?
February 12th, 2013 at 2:06 pm
It only took two foot longs to feed that whole line…and i still hate Noah
February 12th, 2013 at 2:25 pm
14 it says he “brought” them, not bought…unless it was edited after your post
February 12th, 2013 at 2:31 pm
16… oh my mistake… either way the Florida AD is an idiot.. GO CATS TONIGHT
February 12th, 2013 at 2:32 pm
I wonder how many of those FL students are wearing UK gear. If not while in line, surely some will be once they get in the arena. #BBNOccupyGate3 – someone please start this.

Dont they have school to attend?
February 12th, 2013 at 2:44 pm
I guess Free Subway is one way to get the students to go to a basketball game.
February 12th, 2013 at 3:24 pm
They’re lining up because that’s how they give out their student tickets (or at least how they once did). Basically you show up on gameday and the first x amount of students it takes to fill the student section get tickets. I’m not proud of how I know this information, but when you move down here single sometimes you end up marrying a UF grad. *hangs head* She’s perfect otherwise though, so that’s something, right?

21, as long as you can get her to scream “Cats! Cats! Cats!” at the appropriate time, all is forgiven!
