Well the Pope is going to retire, how about some other old guys retire… Bobby Knight? Digger? Chris Cross? At least the Pope knows when to quit.
Nice slug fest on Saturday! I thought we were playing Louisville.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:02 am
If the Catholic Church doesn’t hire Bobby Petrino their program will be set back 10 years.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:04 am
Any news on football recruit Tevin Lawson? If he did not sign on with Stoops & Co. during his visit this weekend, he won’t sign with the CATS.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:04 am
Wait…who sings “Somebody I used to know”?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:04 am
ricky P would make a good pope.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:05 am
Add Lee Corso to the needs-to-retire list
February 11th, 2013 at 10:06 am
The Shermanator is my new favorite non-UK player this year
February 11th, 2013 at 10:08 am
Rick Barnes has officially removed his name from consideration for the new Pope opening…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:08 am
The Black Keys, Mumford, Lumineers, and the tributes to Marley and Levon Helm were badass! Glad to see to talented musicians and indie rock dominate the Grammys.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:08 am
An ugly, rough wrestling match of a bball game. That’s the way the game is now. Players getting mugged every trip down the floor.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:08 am
Matt, get to the important stuff – Kate Upton cover shot for 2013 swim suit edition.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:09 am
#4…Gotye and Kimbra. Did I miss a bad pronunciation by Matt or Ryan? Lol
February 11th, 2013 at 10:09 am
Hey matt, when do you think you will start the contest for giving away UK-UF tickets in gainesville? I live in Sanford, Florida and want to get a chance. Thanks for all you guys do!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:10 am
The orange shirt girl was back but not wearing orange. Navy blue… it’s a start.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:11 am
From what I have gathered through my contacts, UK and Stoops have convinced Tevin Lawson, and he is sold on UK… his heart is set to play in SEC… its all on momma now…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:11 am
Polson appreciates every minute he’s out on the floor
February 11th, 2013 at 10:11 am
the guy in that picture was TERRIBLE!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:12 am
Cal on Mike and Mike incase you missed it

February 11th, 2013 at 10:13 am
#1, I’m still waiting for Coach K-however-you-spell-his-damn-name to retire so Duke can slip off into oblivion.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:13 am
Matt, he is not an Iraqi war veteran. He is an American veteran of the Iraq war.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:14 am
15. Let’s hope. But i heard he may visit Ole Miss. Is this true?? I hope not and that’s closer to home also!!!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:14 am
Has there ever been more of a collapse of a football team than USC over this past year?
-Preseason #1
-National Title Fav
-Everyone Returning
-Footbal deflation deal against Oregon
-Go 7-6
-no show for bowl game “dinner”
- Get pounded by a Ga Tech team that had to have a petition signed just so they could play
-fight in locker room after game
- 6 decommittments (4 of them were 5 star guys)
- sign 12 players
- fire 7 assistant coaches
does it get worse than that?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:15 am
Let’s be honest… Polson is in the right place at the right time 98% of the time. Can we say the same for Archie? No. Polson is aggressive 100% of the time. Can we say the same for Archie? No. Polson will block out the other teams’ PF. Can we say the same about Archie? No. Polson is playing a better team game and deserves more PT than Archie. However, Archie’s upside is sooooo much higher.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:16 am
He really puts life in prospective.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:16 am
#10, did you hear the announcers ranting about all the fouls that were not being called on college gameday Saturday? I have to say I agree with him. Pretty soon the players will be wearing helmets and pads.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:17 am
I don’t normally listen to radio shows, but when I do I listen to KSR
February 11th, 2013 at 10:17 am
21- dont know how that will work #’s wise… they have signed 28… theyd prolly ask him to greyshirt too…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:18 am
22 – agree, and it couldn’t happen to a more appropriate guy than that douchebag Kiffin! Love it!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:19 am
matt are you doing walk ons anymore
February 11th, 2013 at 10:19 am
Frank ocean sucks
February 11th, 2013 at 10:19 am
#9, IMO The Black Keys > Mumford & Sons for Album of the Year every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:21 am
30 – i disagree completely
February 11th, 2013 at 10:22 am
31- Agree…. What’d yall think bout Justin Timberlakes new song?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:22 am
When does John Short work at Romany Road Kroger this next weekend? I wanna stop by and talk UK bball with him!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:22 am
So this is why Ryan does alcohol experiments at colleges? To go backstage to Rascal Flats concerts!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:22 am
I stole the show. I’m pretty awesome.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:22 am
He’s a talented singer frank ocean. I just don’t like his music personally. Miguel is
Better
February 11th, 2013 at 10:23 am
I saw Mumford last summer in Louisville Riverfront park. Great show.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:24 am
Miguel is very very good… you know he is barely 18yrs old?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:24 am
The fact that Ryan Lemond loves rascall flatts and could not give a shit about Mumford tells me everything I need to know about his taste in music. Ha!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:24 am
Please don’t let Toby (from Beattyville) off the hook for his vote. I listen on podcast so I don’t know if you’ve touched on that yet.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:25 am
Bobby Knight? Digger? Chris Cross?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:25 am
For some reason, the Pope resigning is slightly ominous and depressing.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:26 am
All good bands end up with people claiming it’s not cool to like them once they’re recognized as good.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:27 am
Do NOT get upset G-Unit! I think it’s great to get your thoughts, opinions, and info on UK football.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:27 am
#38…it was a great show!
#31…I would agree. I love Black Keys and have their other albums which are both badass!!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:27 am
38, I will agree that Mumford is a very talented group, and I have occasion to enjoy listening to Bluegrass. But I cannot see how they are considered a “crossover” group – IMO, their music seems out of place on a Pop or Hard Rock format radio station. It would be a little bit like playing Led Sep on a hard core country station. Nothing against them, just don’t see the “crossover” part.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:28 am
I believe 2012 was down in comparison to past years as far as new good music. The last really great album to come out, I believe, was The Decemberists “The King is Dead”
February 11th, 2013 at 10:28 am
I gave up on the UL/ND game after the 3rd OT
February 11th, 2013 at 10:28 am
Rhianna last night…Oh My Gawd. Smokin’ hot!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:29 am
If there’s one thing I’ve learned this season, Louisville should steer clear of Siva and Smith at the end of games. They’re the least clutch players I’ve seen for any school in a long time.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:29 am
Matt…Put it in MB & MS ear to move the SPRING FB GAME to 7:30 to allow for Keenland…What’s a half hour?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:29 am
46) The Black Keys have a lot more than 2 albums…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:29 am
#46, My wife and I saw the Black Keys in Indy last year – great show. Then we were pizzed to see that they were giving a free concert in NOLA during the Final Four. Could have applied the ticket prices towards FF tickets! Doh!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:30 am
Matt, I think you may be wrong. Harrow would still have two years of eligibility after this year?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:30 am
Ryan does have two years?
1 at NC state; 1 year riding pine at UK; this year= 2 years of used eligibility? Am i missing something?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:30 am
53, correct – they have been together for quite a few years, and their star only recently started rising.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:30 am
Heard a rumor that hood might transfer after the year. Can’t blame him if true. Go somewhere and get pt as a senior.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:30 am
One of my fav albums is The Lumineers. And I agree that 2012 was not a great year for music.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:31 am
Harrow won’t go pro cause he can’t play in the league…just not built for it physically or mentally….
Wiltjer & WCS will be back for at least 1 year, if not 2. I can’t see Kyle leaving early EVER…WCS maybe could still go because I think he’ll look even better next season with the incoming class.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:31 am
Has the UL Pitino really developed any player? Most of them seem to actually get worse.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:31 am
Matt, Harrow & Wiltjer both would have 2 years. Goodwin, Cauley-Stein, Poythress-3 years.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:32 am
IF Wiltjer were to leave after this year, would he get drafted? Seems like he is better off staying 2 more years and working on his quickness, toughness and defense. His slow moves in the post will not fly in the league.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:32 am
Got turned onto Mumford in 2010 with their song “The Cave” (the noose around your neck song)
but didn’t know who they were or what the name of the song was. Just knew that I liked it a lot.
Heard you play a little clip this morning and recognized the voice and music style, did a little Googling and now I know! Thanks.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:33 am
59) Agreed on The Lumineers….great album
February 11th, 2013 at 10:33 am
#61, agree – if I was Montrezl Harrell I would declare this year while the gettin’s good. Weak draft, and an NBA team would take a chance on a kid as athletically talented as him.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:35 am
#46 they played right before UK played the cards so it was only possible to stay for a couple songs before hiking across downtown (and stopping to grab a couple to go beers) to make tip-off.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:35 am
WCS will go to the draft…and he will be a top 20 pick based purely on upside
February 11th, 2013 at 10:35 am
#53….Haha…good point. I was referring to their last two albums. brothers and attck and release.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:35 am
The black keys have like 10 albums better then mumfords 2
February 11th, 2013 at 10:36 am
Sorry #54, not 46
February 11th, 2013 at 10:37 am
The technical on Archie seemed bogus
February 11th, 2013 at 10:37 am
#58, I wouldn’t blame him either. As much as Cal raves about him in practice, it never seems to translate into any meaningful playing time. The kid could provide some valuable minutes to rest our wing players, much as Polson does for Harrow and Goodwin.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:37 am
69) Gotcha, wanted to make sure you weren’t missing out on a lot of their good music. I particularly like their album “Chulahoma” which was a tribute to Junior Kimbrough. If you’re into blues, you have to check out that album.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:37 am
Please tell me where that Info I posted is on the UK Rivals site??? Or that Justin Rowland has said that anywhere??
Ever think it might be similar due to we know the same people? Lets hear your “sources” Matt… that let you in the “know”… How bout you put yours out there and I will put all of mine… and I cant give names… not all of them but I can tell you what they do:
One is a member of the Athletics Board at UK who is an avid football fan and owns a Car Dealership in Kentucky (hint)
One is Dan Webber, who was a journalist for USC football but is from Danville, used to be an evaluator for Rivals in Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He gave me the info regarding Hatcher
And Many you dont even know… I have lived in Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio and now live in Louisiana and know a lot of guys involved in high school football in those areas. Who knows, I may even know Justin Rowland from my North Carolina days…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:37 am
The rule is that if you are ejected for a flagrant 2 you are NOT suspended the next game.
If ejected for “fighting” that is where the suspension comes.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:38 am
I think pulling on someone’s uniform is a foul.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:38 am
Matt, how is it not a foul to grab a player by the shorts and pulling him back?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:39 am
will hood get his chance this year?…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:39 am
So in theory, you can send a guy in whenever you want to throw punches after he gets fouled? If the guy getting hit responds at all, you got a free punch and free throws?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:40 am
My Contacts are saying that I need to go to the Eye Dr for a new exam
February 11th, 2013 at 10:40 am
#67, we were thinking about heading down Friday morning and then just watching the UK-UL game at a local bar. Sadly, we couldn’t get a sitter lined up in time to make it. I feel like we may have missed out on one of the greatest UK celebrations in history. Bummer!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:41 am
It’s disappointing to see bball being played so rough these days. The essence of the game is being lost with all this rough play that we see across college bball.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:41 am
Whatever happened with the Toby Herald story?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:41 am
G-Unit, calm down, no one cares.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:41 am
I liked Of Monsters and Men and also the new Smashing Pumpkins album Oceana.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:42 am
I wouldn’t be surprised if Cal asked Barbee to tell his team to be physical. Granted, he probably didn’t realize that it was going to be THAT physical. They needed to get pushed around to see how they would react. I really think they turned a corner. Add to that, the parity in college bball this year, and this team could be scary good come March!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:43 am
Caller get real
February 11th, 2013 at 10:44 am
Matt- any chance Cal asked Barbee to make the game rough?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:44 am
2 seed? Chester, cmon buddy. 4 seed is probably our highest possible.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:44 am
Can we have a link or gif of Alex’s behind the back pass to Willie and the flagrant 2 foul from Saturday?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:44 am
The Pope wasn’t going to resign, but Chester told him to calm down, relax, and recognize that the stars are lining up.
He’s telling ya.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:44 am
I have no reason to doubt G-Unit. #GUnitToKSR
February 11th, 2013 at 10:44 am
chester shush up
February 11th, 2013 at 10:44 am
G-Unit–Haters gonna hate…….Keep it up! I for one appreciate it.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:45 am
If you remember that team 2 years ago beat Florida in the SEC title game and we get stuck as a #4 seed and Florida gets a #2. I don’t see any way we get up to a #2 seed without winning out.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:45 am
William “Chester” Wallace….FREEEEEEEEEEEEDOM!!!!!!!!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:45 am
Barbee was mad at Frankie Sullivan because he turned the ball over, not because of the foul. You could tell on TV.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:45 am
I wish I cared about anything as much as Chester does.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:46 am
I’m not mad, not at all…. I like you Matt hate these “pay sites”…. i think its bogus to pay for info to find out if a OV went well… I put that tidbit in there so you could look it up and verify it fairly easily… just extremely excited about football and want to just let people know what I find out… I will say this, you think a top 30 class this year was good? Wait til next year… I will predict a top 15-20 class… especially if UK can get 5 or 6 wins and be competitive…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:46 am
Errmergerd, GERSBERMPS!!!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:46 am
Listening to Chester always makes me nervous…not sure why.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:46 am
G-Unit I really like you but you put ur pants on the same way as the rest of us..
February 11th, 2013 at 10:46 am
I almost cried hearing John Short meeting Jack Givens:-)
February 11th, 2013 at 10:46 am
Of all the Chester’s in the world, Chester is the Chester-iest. My favorite caller.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:46 am
you can be very positive and realistic at the same time…chester is not.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:47 am
I rarely post anymore, but Chester is just awful. 2 seed? Absolutely idiotic. He keeps getting worse. What ever happened to his vasectomy baby?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:47 am
G-Unit, calm down. We appreciate your posts but Matt raises a valid point about people posting things on message boards. If you aren’t cynical then you are probably waiting for your return on investment from a Nigerian prince.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:47 am
93-95
Thanks, I’ll keep it coming
February 11th, 2013 at 10:48 am
100. I totally agree, blows my mind these sites make money off teenage kids like they do
February 11th, 2013 at 10:48 am
With our schedule even if we win out,I think we only get a 4 seed
February 11th, 2013 at 10:48 am
My sources are telling me that Rick Pitino has nightmares about Russ Smith 35 footers. That and Porcini’s
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
Don’t hate on Sing and the Police
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
I honestly can’t stand this song anymore.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
please God, stop this music torture.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
Gotye’s vocals are much more Peter Gabriel than they are Sting.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9NF2edxy-M
Heres a cool cover Somebody That I Used To Know…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
* Oops…Sting
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
102. I’m always afraid he’s going to say something unintentionally racist through Kyle or Jared…
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
bob dylan wrote that same song 50 years ago; “i don’t believe you (she acts like we have never met).
February 11th, 2013 at 10:49 am
That music is horrible!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:50 am
Gotye’s albut is actually pretty good as well. Listen to I Feel Better and Save Me.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:50 am
Ryan Harrow isn’t exactly a defensive specialist. Polson is tougher than Harrow.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:50 am
To continue the Sting/Police theme, “Locked Out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars is very similar if not partially copied from “Man in a Suitcase” by the Police.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:51 am
103. Sometimes I feel the same as you regarding Matt.
If G-Unit had a site, I have a feeling that more than half our KSR brethren would go. I know I would. I don’t care who the “sources” are. Dude’s not been wrong yet.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:51 am
Let goodwin go pro….just let him go in peace and let UK move on. It would be best for both parties
February 11th, 2013 at 10:52 am
if this bunch of cats play relaxed we are toast.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:52 am
Hey Matt,
Can you confirm that Cal’s signed on to be the new Spokesman for Jenny Craig? I hear they’ve added Orange Leaf to the menu. He has lost weight.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:53 am
I think the mock drafts see the athleticism of Archie, like what you see from guys like Bledsoe, and think they can force him into a PG role. Unless they think they can fix his outside shot, there is no way people see him as a SG in the league.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:53 am
#126 I second the motion.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:53 am
Is there a moch draft for who will be the next Pope??
February 11th, 2013 at 10:53 am
Cocaine is a helluva drug
February 11th, 2013 at 10:54 am
103- Did I say I didnt put my pants on the same way? Did I say I was better than anyone? Please show me where I said OR implied that I was better than anyone?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:55 am
Billy Joel
February 11th, 2013 at 10:55 am
Elton John!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:55 am
Prince can ball!
February 11th, 2013 at 10:56 am
I always thought UK should announce the new basketball coach by using the red smoke catholic church method.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:56 am
#131 Ha, actually I saw odds on that this morning. 2 of top 3 are from Africa, and like 5 of top 11 are from Italy.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:56 am
Bon Jovi
February 11th, 2013 at 10:56 am
Elton John
February 11th, 2013 at 10:56 am
132 lolololol
February 11th, 2013 at 10:56 am
Prince can ball!! He beat Dave Chappelle and Charlie
Murphy in street ball.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:57 am
Prince is 54 years old. Why don’t you purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka, Gotye?
February 11th, 2013 at 10:57 am
129 He will be a 2 in the NBA…his game is straight 2 guard, and regardless of his struggles at UK, he will thrive if he ends up in the right situation…he is only 18
February 11th, 2013 at 10:58 am
I put my pants on all three legs at the same time
February 11th, 2013 at 10:59 am
Gotye looks like Crispin Glover on a 5 year crack binge.
February 11th, 2013 at 10:59 am
Hey I dont know if anyone remembers this or can help me out but when Stoops was hired on one of the early posts a guy posted a link in the comments section regarding his defensive scheme… he used NCAA 2012 College Football to explain it… anyone know how to find that on youtube… been searching for FOREVER and cannot find it…
February 11th, 2013 at 11:00 am
Cher
February 11th, 2013 at 11:01 am
Where did UK recruit Bryant end up going to play football ?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:03 am
149 – FSU
February 11th, 2013 at 11:03 am
ARE YOU SERIOUS!? I finally, after hearing a thousand “Glen’s Creek Brewery” ad’s from Matt, decided to check it out for lunch. So I go to the website…. No Website… NO FREAKING WEBSITE! Just a splash page citing “under construction”. Really? It’s a couple hundred bucks… Matt tell your advertisers to wake up.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:04 am
#117, hopefully when they hit the big time the will be able to afford their own instruments instead of sharing.
Seriously, that was pretty cool!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:06 am
152 – They do other stuff too but I thought that was unique and cool.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:07 am
UL is the gift that keeps on giving!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:08 am
Russ Smith was playing like he was on the take and the coconut water toss was hilarious
February 11th, 2013 at 11:08 am
Watching that Louisville game was funnier than watching donkey basketball at Oneida Baptist. Donkey basketball is a good time, though.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:08 am
UL just can’t close out games.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:08 am
You take Russ? How bout you go to Mr. Behannan who had 30 points!!!!!!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:09 am
Louisville lost 5 games on Saturday!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:09 am
Rick has been a bit stressed out lately
February 11th, 2013 at 11:09 am
MARTY BROWN!! The dude is an Icon in KY… And he stole a carburetor.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:09 am
Michael Jordan and Dave Chepelle
February 11th, 2013 at 11:09 am
That’s ridiculous. Russ Smith just proved that he’s a JR and still doesn’t understand what to do in end of game situations.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:09 am
Ricky needs to chill out a bit. Maybe smoke a joint or go surfing?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:10 am
All UL had to do was feed Behanan in the OTs. They couldn’t stop that kid…point blank, period!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:10 am
Forgot about meeting Ric Flair at a wafflehouse in Tennessee
February 11th, 2013 at 11:10 am
People keep talking about the misses, but how about them up 3, no shot clock, and he puts his head down and drives to bucket and misses layup? I forget which OT it was, but they were up 3 with NO NEED to shoot and he went with reckless abandon?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:10 am
Behanan was having a heck of game and should have been giving the ball underneath. The game was tied and they had the final attempt on several occassions! It was a coaching foul up. Why didn’t Rick take a timeout when Russ took the ball across half court? They had timeouts that they didn’t use.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:10 am
Ryan, disagree. Behanan was absolutely on fire, and ND didn’t have anyone who could stop him. Russ should have dumped off to him inside – he would have scored or been fouled. I thought Archie was a me-first player, but he can’t hold a candle to Russ, and Russ is a senior! #mythofseniorleadership
February 11th, 2013 at 11:10 am
Matt is just showing off his high T-Levels!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:10 am
I have no UL friends, some family members but can’t do much about that.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:11 am
Polson actually is one of UK’s best on-ball defenders…
February 11th, 2013 at 11:11 am
Polson is more productive than Archie.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:12 am
He went to Jared…
February 11th, 2013 at 11:12 am
#158 EXACTLY. Chane Behanan has had plenty of easily missed shots in his day, but he had 30 POINTS in that game and was the best player for UofL at the end of regulation and all through OT. He was making his defender look terrible. Got ignored in every game ending situation.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:12 am
He went to Jarrod!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:13 am
Rick doesnt actually drink Coco Water, he has a manager empty out the bottle and replace it with regular water. He just wants to portray the image that he is drinking Coco Water.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:13 am
Della is wet!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:13 am
According to Della “Coach Cal went to Jarrod”
February 11th, 2013 at 11:13 am
Who is going to be the first basketball player in college BB to wear a helmet and pads, due to the rough play being allowed?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:14 am
158. I thought the same thing. Smith had 21 points, but for the love of Jesus, he shot 21% from the field. That makes 32% of those shots game winners missed.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:15 am
I love Jarrod, proud WJHS alum here… but play Polson for 35 minutes and you guys will be calling for Calipari’s head. Polson looks good because Calipari puts him in at the right time in the right situations. Keep doing that. Archie can put his head near the top of the backboard, keep playing him.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:17 am
I don’t have a big problem with Harrow or Goodwin but for the best in me I can not see how Mays gets his minutes. Except for a couple of games that he go hot in he has given us nothing. Cal goes on about his defense and he could not guard John Short on John’s worst day. Reminds me of Saul Smith except Saul may have been better.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:17 am
does tony vinetti even watch UK or does he just need his T levels adjusted?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:18 am
In a couple years, after everyone leaves next year, we will still be good. Wiltjer will be a great senior. Harrow will be a senior. Maybe WCS is still here. Plus add the #1 recruiting class that i’m sure Calipari will get again.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:18 am
Pitino is a FAILURE at UofL. UofL fans had zero doubt that they would have a championship at UofL by Pitino’s 5th or 6th year. If he doesn’t win this year, he’s been a complete letdown there. If UofL fans truly believe they are top tier program, they can’t say he has been a success.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:18 am
Tony is a sap.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:19 am
Are we sure Tony wasn’t the one communicating with Monti Teo?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:20 am
182. Archie might put his head above the rim but most of the time it’s up his arse!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:21 am
The Hey and Ho’s need to stop after the first chorus…gets annoying.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:21 am
183 just went full retard
February 11th, 2013 at 11:21 am
Matt, the guy has to be a troll…he isn’t serious
February 11th, 2013 at 11:22 am
When is KSR going to add a third hour and be on air in NKY?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:23 am
Hey Matt, what about Kansas losing their 3rd game in a row? The Cats lost two in a row and fell 18 spots in the poll. Think Kansas will suffer the same fate? I think not
February 11th, 2013 at 11:24 am
If every team plays us like Auburn the rest of the way it will toughen this team up.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:25 am
That Maker’s Mark thing is going to turn off a lot of Kentuckians. Might get them more customers overall, but it’ll hurt them in Kentucky.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:25 am
I’ve never heard of Makers Mark because I only dring Heavenly Hill.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:25 am
Can someone give me the readers digest version of what was said regarding G Unit?
All i will say is that I appreciate his thoughts on UK FB recruiting. His batting % is really high and better than many “experts”. Keep it coming!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:26 am
As long as Micky D’s keeps their sweet tea I don’t care about Makers Mark.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:26 am
Yes they do put real bourbon. I know someone’s daughter who opened one not knowing the importance of it.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:26 am
People love bourbon outside of Kentucky because of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS…and I know someone who’s out of town brother flew in and while in town cracked open one of those bottles and drank it!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:27 am
They should put 20 proof in those bottles.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:28 am
Maker’s Mark puts real bourbon in those comemorative bottles because my idiot friend opened one up and drank it after the Championship game.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:28 am
Makers should have made the subtle change without a press release, comments, etc. Kind of like Pitino casually not renewing Swopshire’s scholarship.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:28 am
198 – MAtt just said all I did was copy what Justin Rowland said… And I told him I didnt and that I have my own sources… so he asked me to tell him my sources… which I somewhat did. No Biggie
February 11th, 2013 at 11:28 am
time to stock up on real Makers Mark, cuz 84 proof Maker’s ain’t Makers
This announcement trumps Popegate
February 11th, 2013 at 11:29 am
Commemorative Bottles, NOT TRUE. If a teenager is in the house you better believe those commemorative bottles have a chance to get broken into!!! My younger brother and sister tapped into my Transy KA Rebel Yell bottles!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:30 am
Pitino is the White house and Tony is Fox news!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:31 am
205 – keep up the good work G-Unit! We love hearing the info and are excited about the future!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:32 am
In Rick’s defense… He had a quick date he had to get to, in the Notre Dame food court.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:32 am
Jack Daniels was 90 proof than went to 86 to 84 now 80 proof.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:32 am
UofL is starting to look like a 3 seed at best. Seeing a lot of teams at the top that UofL could not beat right now, regardless of the inconsistency being seen right now.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:33 am
1) The interview with Paul is 2 segments, not 3.
2) How dare you call Paul Rodgers a wimp. Have more respect for a Hall Of Famer.
3) If Cal did this, no one would care. It wouldn’t headline Sportscenter. Get over yourself. I like you Matt, but you say some stuff on air that you honestly don’t believe. Come on man.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:33 am
It’s better than Billy Ocean
February 11th, 2013 at 11:34 am
Let’s be honest, Makers Mark sells well internationally, but the best situation in history is having unbelievable demand. Sales slow down, claim you have a shortage and people buy. Claim you will have to alter the original recipe and people buy at all-time high levels in order to get the “last original batch”. My guess they were losing a fraction of sales to up and coming products and wanted to mitigate the potential loss. Economics 101.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:34 am
I wish Crazy Curtis would quit calling and go back to pulling quarters from ears and stealing noses.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:36 am
213- He gets paid millions of dollars to coach. The post game interview is part of his job. Don’t take the money if you don’t want to do the interviews. He’s a sore loser and a has been.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:36 am
Pitino is BIPOLAR! After wins, he has such a smile and kidding around with the media. After losses, he is a baby and can’t even speak about it.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:36 am
When Polson goes in, can we say, “HE WENT TO JARED!”
February 11th, 2013 at 11:37 am
To be honest the interview with Rick sounded like how Matt talks to Ryan on a daily basis.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:37 am
Was that Billy Gilespie talking to Tom Leach?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:37 am
Someone should send him a case of adult diapers…What a D-bag!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:37 am
Matt – he had to do 30 seconds more than he would have last year, since he would have trotted Richard out there.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:37 am
Matt – I do still have this 1996 championship bottle, anybody know how much it worth now?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:38 am
Slapnuts, I’m going to correct you on something this time. Pitino’s “time with Kerren” wasn’t 34 seconds. It was less than half of that.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:38 am
#211 JD isn’t bourbon, so for Kentuckians, I don’t think that really matters, but I guess all the distilleries will smaller production capcity are diluting their product due to demand right now.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:39 am
Ask Slapnuts how tho ‘Canes are doin, after he blasted UK’s football…
February 11th, 2013 at 11:39 am
Matt, Rick didn’t lose just one game this weekend. He lost like 6 games. LOL.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:39 am
Slapnuts sucks. I can’t believe Matt thinks he’s “fair” or whatever.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:39 am
Matt – you’re wrong….he’s not a jerk, he’s a lying jerk. Get it right!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:40 am
Maybe if Maker’s didn’t have the production capacity of 2 1000 sq ft buildings, they wouldn’t have to dilute their product to meet demand.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:40 am
Slapnuts has lost his mind.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:40 am
slap nuts is always good for a looserville laugh!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:41 am
Did you hear John Beilein complaining about 35fters? Come on Pitino puhleese. Slap nuts you are a whinny ass sore loser too!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:41 am
UK OOC TOURNEY TEAMS- Duke, Baylor(?), Maryland
LOUISVILLE OOC TOURNEY TEAMS- Duke, Missouri
Sorry Slapnuts.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:41 am
If U of L looses one more game they have the same exact regular season record as us. Louisville really needs to stop acting like they are so better than us because they are really not.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:41 am
Slapnuts says the Cards would have won that game vs Notre Dame by 15 if they hit free throws. When UK fans said that after the UofL game, their fans acted like we were idiots and said that wasn’t true.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:41 am
UofLs signature win didn’t come until they beat Marquette last week. Up until then it was vs a weak Mizzou team! Get out of here Slapnuts
February 11th, 2013 at 11:42 am
My wife thought it was a 12 year old boy
February 11th, 2013 at 11:42 am
226- Jack Daniels is bourbon, technically, but not marketed as such.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:42 am
U don’t reckon Pitino was just mad about the Makers Mark decision do you? Oh….. Nevermind, I forgot, he probably only drinks Crown.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:42 am
Lawson is a lot better looking than Buzz, that’s about it.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:42 am
Did you catch Dave Baker talking about Polson and use his “kiddy” voice!? Slightly odd and creepy.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:43 am
Slapnuts says they would’ve won that game against Notre Dame if they hit their free-throws…he need to be reminded we would’ve beaten Louisville if we had hit OUR free-throws.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:43 am
I didn’t like Kara Lawson calling the game. However, I like her better than Dave Baker. Dave is terrible.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:43 am
I’d rather Lawson than Jimmy Dykes.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:44 am
Slapnuts says they would’ve won that game against Notre Dame if they hit their free-throws…he needs to be reminded we would’ve beaten Louisville if we had hit OUR free-throws.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:44 am
can we just let gus johnson commentate every game?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:44 am
Kara Lawson went to UT…may be part of it.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:44 am
I’d take Lawson over Dakich
February 11th, 2013 at 11:46 am
Maker’s Mark to bourbon is the Samuel Adams of craft beer, a nice introduction to the world, but nowhere close being the best representative. And the reason people are pissed is because you don’t see Pappy Van Winkle watering down their whiskey to increase supply, but fix the cost to equal demand.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:46 am
Lawson actually seemed interested in talking about aspects of the game as opposed to being obsessed with catch phrases and stupid jokes.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:47 am
Speaking of the Grammy’s, what about that green dress Katy Perry was wearing?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:47 am
Alabama Shakes are the best.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:47 am
Zac Brown is awesome in concert. They can play.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:49 am
Are you implying that Kara Lawson is better than Rob Bromley?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:49 am
If I’m not mistaken, Alabama Shakes was the rehab facility that Billy Gillispie first visited after he left UK.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:49 am
At least she wasn’t Doris Burke aka Mrs. Shannon The Dude
February 11th, 2013 at 11:50 am
Bruno Mars & Sting played their own songs b/c they said prior to doing so that Bob Marley had heavily influenced both of their sounds. They played two sof their ongs that had very obvious Reggae guitar, drums & bass (Walking on the Moon & Knockedout of Heaven) then transitioned into Marley to show the the roots.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:51 am
Shannon Drops the Mic and leaves the stage.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:51 am
Kara Lawson made Dave Baker look and sound stupid. Dave sounded like someone that never watched basketball. And then wouldn’t shut-up about how little he didn’t know about basketball. I am now pro Kara Lawson and anti Dave Baker. He should be off the air.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:52 am
I worked at Maker’s for 5 years…Jack is not a bourbon…charcoal filtering over something other than white oak after aging makes it NOT a bourbon. A lot of other incorrect things stated on this thread.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:52 am
253 – Man, What I would do to Katy Perry in 10 minutes…..
I really like Jay Bilas
February 11th, 2013 at 11:53 am
Jay Bilas….best commentator is college basketball
February 11th, 2013 at 11:53 am
If you don’t like Jay Bilas, you won’t like anybody. Smartest, fairest college basketball commentator around, hands down.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:53 am
Dan Schulman?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:53 am
I really like Jay Bilas, Bill Raftery, and Jimmy Dykes.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:53 am
I love jimmy Dykes and Kellogg and hate Dicky V
February 11th, 2013 at 11:53 am
Send it in big Fella!!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:53 am
Kevin Harlan is awesome. So is Ian Eagle.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:54 am
I like Jay Bilas. He offers much more than just talking about the game. I like his insight on NCAA and College Basketball on the whole.
I also like Charles Barkley as a color commentator.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:54 am
Funny thing is Notre Dame people hated Hammond on the football broadcasts.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:54 am
The Dan Shulman/Dick Vitale pairing is the best. Throw in Jay Bilas as well….he’s solid.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:54 am
I like Vitale’s enthusiasm for the game, but he gets tiresome, especially when he starts “spouting off” about the opponent. He’s easier to take when he is talking up the Cats!
I actually like Barkley a lot. He tells it like it is, and that time he called out Pitino when Pitino was a guest commentator was classic!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:55 am
Pitino had the whole ‘appetizer and a drink’ routine down when he was in Lexington too. He and the boys would drink $1000 in fried chicken and Whitestar, play liars poker with $100 bills, pass out, and hit on everything in the bar.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:55 am
I LIKE DAVE FLEMMING!!!!!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:55 am
How about Bill Rafferty?
February 11th, 2013 at 11:55 am
Gus Johnson too!
February 11th, 2013 at 11:55 am
Bilas (hands down number one), Ian Eagle, Raftery, Jimmy D now that he’s toned down.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:56 am
Forgot Schulman….he’s great
February 11th, 2013 at 11:56 am
I miss billy packer!! He loves the cats
February 11th, 2013 at 11:56 am
I have my lower level tickets for the game on Saturday! It’s going to be awesome. Big props to my friend in the UT Athletic department that got the tickets for me.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:56 am
Matt….The BBN(and the unknowing UL fans) taxpayers in Louisville here need someone who truly understands the ins and outs of the Yum Center deal explained. Seems like there is no concrete arguments that exist in mainstream media. Give us a blurb when you have the time to outline the issues.
February 11th, 2013 at 11:57 am
ONIONS!!!
February 11th, 2013 at 1:43 pm
g-unit if u are on twitter i would like to follow for all recruiting tidbits . as for matt he is a narcisist on wildcat info but he provides us with a great stage for ky wildcat news .little advice never argue with ignorant people they have had to much practice it is not fair to you .
February 11th, 2013 at 1:46 pm
I have no problem at all with Kara Lawson. She has played at the college, national, and pro level. She does her homework and is prepared for her assignments. Dave is a good and funny guy. But his is better suited for a sideline reporter than a play by play. I too beleive jay Bilas is the best announcer/studio person going.
February 11th, 2013 at 2:58 pm
slapnuts should stick with facts.
