Some of you may have noticed that Ole Miss football has been recruiting at an incredible level as of late. In fact, they just wrapped up a top 5 recruiting class for 2013, highlighted by the commitment of the #1 player in the nation. The Rebels are making major moves in the SEC to match the pace of some of the top programs such as Alabama and Florida. How are they going about doing this? Apparently by sending 54 handwritten letters to recruits. The slew of letters was sent to 2014 linebacker Clifton Garrett of Illinois.
Sometimes I’m not sure I envy everything about the process for these young kids. Fifty four handwritten letters? Brilliant? Or too much? You decide.

Duh. You can’t fit 54 $100 bills in one envelope. Someone will catch those antics. Space it out evenly!!

i see the return address still say ‘Ole Miss Rebels’. Are they trying to become like the Auburn Plainsmen, War Eagles, Tigers, whatever?

Probably had to get two of his friends to come over so they’d have enough fingers and toes to count all the letters.

One of Ole Miss’s recruits took his picture with alot of cash, this is a great way to get it to them.

Whatever works and complies with the rules. Particularly in UK’s case, we have to out work everybody twice over when it comes to football recruiting. Ole Miss did an amazing job this year.

i mean…we can speculate all we want with ole miss and recruiting but they have mirrored exactly what we want to do

Atleast they didn’t pull a Baylor and throw them all over the front yard

Ole Miss just signed a class it had NO business signing. Therefore, brilliant.

Please…I send 54 hand written notes to the recruits I want in my sleep. Not impressed.
