Now that’s how games are supposed to be won in Rupp Arena. The outcome of tonight’s contest against Frank Martin and the Gamecocks was never in question, as the Cats cruised past South Carolina, 77-55.
Julius Mays led the team in scoring for the second consecutive game with 15 points, while four other Wildcats joined him in double-figures. Nerlens Noel posted a double-double with 10 and 10 and Willie Cauley-Stein scored 13 points off the bench with his grandparents in attendance.
We’ll have more in a bit.
Go Cats.

That game actually kindve sucked.
Watching paint dry may have actually been more interesting.
Had to switch it to the UM-OSU game with 10 min to go.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:12 pm
That is what is suppose to happen when we play USC. Now lets do the same to Auburn and get ready for the big games.

A win is a win. Better passing makes for a better offense.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:14 pm
I agree with #5 let the trolls play with themselves. I’m sick of ‘em!
February 5th, 2013 at 11:15 pm
17 turnovers….grumble grumble…..
February 5th, 2013 at 11:16 pm
Well, this OSU/UM game is pretty good. Two ranked teams in OT, after all.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:18 pm
Cut down the turnovers and I can see some shit happening with this team. Good shit.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:18 pm
#5-good advice on trolls, but some of those pitiful people answer their own comments just to keep their “conversations” alive. How sad is that? Meanwhile, big, bigger, biggest day for UK BB & FB. UF losing was icing on the cake and sets the stage for the SEC showdown. Go Cats!
February 5th, 2013 at 11:19 pm

February 5th, 2013 at 11:23 pm

February 5th, 2013 at 11:25 pm
Cats building confidence and the sky is the limit for this team. They just need to trust each other and play together, then they will be able to beat anyone, anywhere.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:26 pm

GO CATS (want to see if message deleted)even if it’s generic. What is up with you people at KSR?
February 5th, 2013 at 11:30 pm
15. I’m not. I just don’t get ESPNU so I had to follow the live blog and the sweet soothing sounds of Tom Leach.
And it was a good game once the UK game was over. Not the game of the year, probably, but fun. If UK can’t win the title, Michigan winning it would have no bearing on the race to beat UCLA.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:31 pm

Lineup halfway through conf play

Was out and missed the first half… and could barely watch the second half. Some of the uglies bball I’ve ever seen a KY team play – against a team they should have crushed for 40 minutes. Balls slapped out of their hands on just about every rebound… Numerous offensive rebounds given up.. Poythress misses numerous blank layup / dunks.. No flow on offense as Harrow and Polson look completely overmatched… Archie and Nerlens continue to miss freethrows – badly… Wiltjer borderline useless (except for a rebound or two)…
Willie and Nerlens looked good though.

If carrots got you drunk, rabbits would be F’d up
February 5th, 2013 at 11:36 pm
Another stat we won was turnover – we had 17 to their 7. Yes, we shot fairly well but it was an ugly game to watch
February 5th, 2013 at 11:37 pm
So that is how the rabbits can do it like they do…hmm

Matt, 2 things from last nights game:
1) you said the “twin towers” do not work and would not work. Well, it worked pretty good last night. I would say that there are going to be match ups that may work well for us. I was impressed with WCS, he played good on both ends, dove for loose balls and really hustled.
2) if Archie Goodwin is not a ball hog, then he continues to make bad decisions when driving to the basket. He continues to miss the open man and he can not hit his free throws. this will come back to bite us in the tournament.
Enjoy the show.
