Sunday Morning Links

by @ 10:00 am. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

Last night’s box score may not have showed it, but Nerlens Noel is still one of the country’s elite shot blockers.  Even though he fell short of his season average last night, Fox Sports gave a great review of Noel’s year thus far.

If you need a brief recap of last night’s overtime contest against Texas A&M, The Sacramento Bee has you covered.  But be warned, this short piece includes many statistics.

In case you wanted a more in-depth review of last night’s match-up, the Houston Chronicle has what you’re looking for. On a completely unrelated note, their website is called Chron.com. Yeah, they may want to rethink that one.

If you haven’t already heard, Florida Offensive Lineman, Nick Haynes, is currently on his official visit to Kentucky. He plans on announcing his college decision today according to Rivals’ Justin Rowland. He’s a three star according to Rivals.com and holds offers from Central Florida and Florida Atlantic.

Last night, the Washington Wizards lost to San Antonio 86-96.  Despite the sour outcome, John Wall had an excellent game. He finished with 21 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds despite hurting his shoulder in the previous game.

  4. Travis Ford 5 Says:

Has anyone seen the video of Nerlens on ESPN?
It shows Noel and an A&M player getting tangled up with the A&M player falling.
The video is called something like. “Nerlens Noel purposefully trips an opponent “.
    Ugh.

  5. Travis Ford 5 Says:

“Nerlens Noel purposely trips Texas A&M player”.
It just looks like their legs get tangled to me, not that Noel purposely tripped someone.
The title seems very misleading to me.

  6. ltylerj Says:

So does the title “Nerlens Noel Overrated?” from a few days ago.

All they’re looking for is hits, and the best way to get them is to put misleading titles. That’s journalism for you.

  7. clint Says:

Okay, this has probably been covered 10,000 times, but Tom Crean looks EXACTLY like Dwight from The Office.

  8. Steely Dan Says:

No mention of MKG leavin the game last night on a stretcher?

  9. Realist Says:

I noticed to incident were Nerlens tripped the A&M player when I was watching the game last night and I thought he did it on purpose too. Especially considering he was pissed about not getting a call on the other end when an A&M player had a hold of him whole arm after the free throw. He clearly tried to trip him comin down the court and luckily he wasn’t called for anything when he did.

  12. Catlanta Says:

11, she just thought it contained a picture of Tom Crean. Give her a break.

Assembly Hall = Mecca of College Basketball. When was the last time you hillbillies had coRuppt rocking? Never! Bow down little brother!

  14. Rae Says:

    13. To be big brother, you have to win something. Like a banner. And not a Sweet Sixteen banner. Make it to a Final Four before you start proclaiming yourselves basketball gods. We’ve won three titles since your last title. We’ve been to the FF twice since you all have. We’ve had five Elite Eights since your last in 2002.

Good job on making a high school gym loud. Not that hard to do with those acoustics. When Rupp is loud, it is an amazing thing because the setup is larger and more widespread. How about you all sell out your Gameday like UK did last time before calling yourselves a Mecca. You’ve got fewer seats so it shouldn’t be that difficult.

  15. HOO Says:

Rae, you are right, I am just a fall down fool.

  16. HOO Says:

I hope my parole officer doen’t know I like having sex with goats up here in my Indiana cornfields.
