On Friday, five Kentucky Baseball players were named to Baseball America’s Top Prospects list. This prestigious list ranks the top-50 prospects in each of the respective NCAA classes. The five players named were (RHP) Kyle Cody, (OF) Austin Cousino, (LHP) Jerad Gundy, (LHP) Corey Littrell, and (LHP/1B) A.J. Reed.
Jerad Cody is ranked as the 39th best Freshman in college and was the only Kentucky freshman named. Two Wildcat sophomores, Austin Cousino and A.J. Reed, were listed. They rank 6th and 16th in that class respectively. Corey Littrell is ranked as the 36th best junior prospect while Jerad Grundy rounds out the list as the 8th best senior prospect.
This individual talent also translates to the team level as the Baseball Cats start the season ranked 11th nationally by Baseball America. They’re one of eight SEC teams to be ranked. More information on the five players named to the top-50 list can be found here.

This is going to be a great year for the Bat Cats. There Fri, Sat, Sun rotation will be unmatched. If they were in any other conference. This would easily be a 5o win club. The SEC is so tough. Still this might be a team that can seriously get to Omaha. We won’t get screwed like we did last yr, we will host Regional and Super’s in 13
