Thought UK football was done for the day with Jeff Badet? Oh no. JoJo Kemp just committed to the Cats. Remember that name, ladies and gentlemen. Kemp is a guy you should be VERY excited about.

Strengths: Strong frame, athleticism, excellent in traffic, great hands and route-running ability
Kemp, like Badet, is a former South Florida commit who Stoops was able to flip over to the blue side. He had offers from a number of schools, including programs we’re getting used to beating out for recruits, like Tennessee, West Virginia and Nebraska. He was very high on the staff’s list because of the way he fits into Neal Brown’s system. It’s a perfect match and it won’t be long before that’s crystal clear to everyone.
What makes Kemp such an attractive option in the Air Raid is his quickness and pass-catching abilities. He’ll be able to run routes out of the backfield and make plays catching the ball in open space. Young guys like Dy’shawn Mobley, Josh Clemons, and Justin Taylor had bright futures in Joker’s ground-and-pound system, but Neal Brown’s pass-friendly offense plays more towards quicker, elusive backs like JoJo Kemp. That’s why I expect him to come in and compete early as a true freshman. He’s going to be really fun to watch, too.
I’m really excited about this one.

lived in FL for 30 years and people do not go to high school games much. There is simply too much to do there and at start of season it is still very hot. This kid played at Deland which is just 10 minutes or so from Daytona so Friday nights people have to choose.

#26 and #32…Jojo sure looks a lot like Higgs when he squirts out of the hole and runs past everybody. Higgs had absolutely massive legs and for a shorter back had a really long stride that made him deceptively fast. He was awesome.

If anyone with even the slightest football brain watches those highlights and ISN’T impressed then you are an idiot. Yes it’s a highlight tape, but ignore the touchdowns. Watch how he runs. When he hits a hole his hips are square and he’s not standing up, yet he can A)take a hit and B)then make a hell of a cut while still going downfield. These things take time to teach and he already has them. He runs at different speeds too. Blasting into a hole is great but sometimes you need to take a few steps and read the line then react. Watch him do this several times when the line is bottled up and then streek for 20 more yards. Guys, this kid is legit and with Clemons here, we have 2 guys that will be an unreal change of pace backfeild.

And like you say, recruiting isn’t over. So it’s painfully obvious to anyone with even half a brain (sorry bob, you don’t meet the minimum requirements) that UK will be even farther ahead of the Tards on NSD.

#36 Trav, I totally agree, This guys looks special. It was awesome to see him out run angle after angle. The angles didn’t matter, he just out ran everyone. Even when he was pushed out of bounds he rarely went down. I can’t wait to see this kid in the spring game!! GO CATS!!!!

Sorry…not impressed….he is very small…..almost every play on this film showd him to be a straight ahead runner ONLY…not cuts…hw won’t get straight ahead running in the SEC….he will be running for his life and will need to cut or be killed.
