And just like that, the world forgets about Marshall Henderson

by @ 1:22 am. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

Marshall Henderson waited his entire life for this game.  But, tomorrow, when he wakes up, he’ll wish it never happened.  He’ll want to go back to the buzzer-beater against Vanderbilt, the 32 points at Tennessee, or those game-winning free throws against Auburn.  He’ll want to go back to when people outside of P.J’s Wine & Liquor in Oxford, Mississippi cared about his existence.  But those days are no more.

Henderson was the hottest thing not named ‘Seth Curry’s mom’ in college basketball entering the game.  The nationally-televised contest against the defending national champion was to be the day he sealed his spot as college basketball’s best scorer and despised villain, so he thought.  Instead, he looked like that guy everyone hates to play with, the one who jacks up brick after brick with a hand in his face and no sign of slowing down, or making one.

Sure, Marshall Henderson scored 21 points against the Kentucky Wildcats, but it took 19 field goal attempts and the good fortune of an early double bonus in the first half to get there.  The three-point sensation who was going to pick Kentucky apart with his sharpshooting connected on just two of his 11 three-point attempts.  One of those almost shattered glass, two feet to the left of the rim.

He’s choking, how?  Everybody’s joking now.  The clock’s run out, times up, over, blaow.

Holy Kyle Wiltjer!  Where did that guy come from???  Wiltjer played his best game as a Wildcat, scoring a career-high 26 points and playing assertive on both ends.  Wiltjer was absolutely unstoppable offensively through most of the game as he stole the spotlight out from underneath Marshall Henderson’s do-rag.  He got buckets, as the kids say.  The scoring is something we’ve seen before from Wiltjer, but what stood out the most about his performance is the intensity and emotion he showed after making those buckets.  And by that, I mean he talked a lot of sh-t to anyone who thought they could slow him down.  And what about that dunk???  What have those chefs in Wildcat Coal Lodge been feeding this guy???  Hell of game from Wiltjer.  Man, I’m pumped.

As good as Wiltjer was on offense, Nerlens Noel was just as good on the defensive end.  Noel blocked a career-high 12 shots, five of those coming after he re-entered the game with four fouls.  Ole Miss went on a 16-0 run after Noel committed his fourth foul but he came back in and played incredible defense around the rim to help Kentucky hang on to what was a 17-point UK lead before the Rebel run when Noel went to the bench.  The way he contested shots while avoiding a fifth foul was one of the better defensive performances I’ve ever seen, and it came when Kentucky needed it the most.  Some have said he’s a better shot blocker than Anthony Davis, me included, and tonight he proved it by setting Kentucky’s single game blocks record and moving past where Davis was at this point a year ago.  Davis had 93 blocks through the first 20 games last season; Nerlens Noel now has 95.

Ole Miss’ Murphy Holloway called Noel “the best shot blocker to ever play the game.”  Those are strong words from a strong competitor who has been in the SEC for, like, eight years, it seems.  Even Patrick Patterson can’t believe he’s still around.

Excuse me, who are you and what did you do with Alex Poythress?  No. 22 came through for Kentucky tonight after struggling with foul trouble in the first half.  Big Blue Nation thought Poythress’ two quick fouls would impact the game, but it was the way he responded in the second half that had the real impact.  Poythress played like the Poythress we’ve all been waiting for; aggressive, assertive and powerful with no mental lapses or timidness in his game.  He ignited the Cats with 13 points and six rebounds in the final 20 minutes and I think we might’ve even heard a loud roar or seen a smile or two from him along the way.  It’s a process with Alex, as Cal has said over and over, but he continues to move in the right direction.

Archie Goodwin scored 24 points and most of you didn’t have a clue.  Lost in all the love for Nerlens, Wiltjer and Poythress was a steady, high-scoring performance from Archie.  He did half of his scoring at the line, thanks to his reckless but effective penetration, and connected on 12 of his 14 free throw attempts.  He also made good passes in the open court, seriously, dished out four assists and added six rebounds.  We said before the game that Archie needed to worry about defense and leave the scoring to someone else, and, well, he went ahead and dropped a 24-pack on Ole Miss, anyway.

The screen grab sums up SEC officiating this season:

Ummmm… Nothing?  You’re just going to look at him?

Hang on, now.  We’re not done patting the Wildcats on the back.  Ryan Harrow also played well, considering he’s pretty much been absent in Kentucky’s last three games.  Coach Cal said he was pleased with Harrow and happy to see him back on track.  There were a few lapses here and there — Cal mentioned Harrow hanging his head a couple of times — but still a good game from Kentucky’s point guard.  We also saw solid performances from Julius Mays, Jarrod Polson and a brief stint from Jon Hood.

Coach Cal was in good spirits after the game so he used that positive energy to joke about Tad Smith Coliseum: “I said, ‘Andy, want me to mention something about building you a new building?’ You’re 17-2, will you please build the guy a new building?  I mean, the locker room we’re in, I’m looking for squirrels in there.  You gotta be kidding me.  You got all these football facilities — this campus is gorgeous; this campus is like none other; this is one of the nicest college campuses in the country, EXCEPT FOR THIS BUILDING!  This is the only bad building on the whole campus.”

Some quick-hitters before I call it a night:

—  Have you ever seen so many fouls called in the first 5-10 minutes of a basketball game?  I was almost certain we’d see Sam Malone running point to start the second half.  Kentucky’s entire backcourt picked up two early fouls each and Ole Miss found themselves in the double-bonus with 12 minutes left before halftime.

—  Call of the Game: “Wiltjer passes to Polson… Polson inside to Hood… Hood back out to Wiltjer…  Three is good!”  Maybe there is some potential in the ol’ Wiltjer-Polson-Hood-Wiltjer offense.

—  If there’s an NCAA record for pump fakes after the catch, Julius Mays has it.

—  Kentucky ended the game on a 14-2 run to seal the victory, the school’s first win in Oxford since the Tubby Smith era.

—  Nerlens Noel has had six or more blocks in six straight games.

—  Wiltjer’s dunk was only the fourth of his career.  He destroyed Marshall Henderson on a screen before cutting towards the basket for the slam.  Hopefully we get a .gif out of it tomorrow.

That’ll do it for now.  Great win and Go Cats!

    Blurst?

  2. Cotton Nash Says:

You da man, Drew! Go Big Blue!! Nerlans for President!!!

  3. TShlew Says:

This is the reason I refuse to give up on this team. Cal has never given us a reason to not have faith. It’s all a process, and it has worked for him year in and year out. I’m not saying that just because of this game we magically have everything worked out and are ready to roll. What I’m saying is that I’ve seen the improvement and look for us to build on it going forward. There will be a couple more bumps in the road, but I still see the possibility of greatness in this team. Great game guys. Great game.

And Nerlens… Dear… God… That man is an ANIMAL around the rim. Best rim protector I’ve ever seen.

  4. Zack Says:

I loved when Wiltjer set that huge pick on Henderson, it just made Henderson look stupid.

  5. Cotton Nash Says:

Nerlans blocked one of Henderson’s shots with his armpit. Heh.

  6. henry earl Says:

jim burr is my least favorite ref hands down. what an incompetent f uck

  7. uktrackstar Says:

Hey, Slim Shady, how does our a** taste?
You probably can’t spell overrated but have your tutor look it up for you. The definition will be right there, next to your photo.
You are a whiner, a poor teammate and, worst of all, a pathetic FLOPPER. Even your homey refs didn’t fall for your act.
UF will send you right out of the Top 25 as we pass you on the way up.
Nerlens, the commander of your spaceship is on the cell.
He wants the anti-gravity boots back after the season.

  8. CalifCatFan Says:

Lost in all the celebrating was the fact that this was Kentucky’s 100th win against Ole Miss, which only has 13 wins all-time against the Cats.

  9. henry earl Says:

7 stop dude you’re embarrassing yourself

  10. Logan Says:

Good win and enough said boys

  11. UKBlue Says:

Henderson is a straight up disrespectful punk !! To walk away & talk back to your coach on national TV in front of teammates – I would hate to imagine Cal head exploding if one of our players did this. I hope Henderson coach knocks the holly $hit out of this idiot in practice.

You heard it here first; we will hear of Henderson doing something stupid & going to jail/prison/on drugs sometime in the future.

  13. KB Says:

Polson didn’t even have a 3 in that game, lol.

  14. Jpo Says:

Where’s oldschool? Oh yeah that’s right Kentucky won.

  15. Few Dranklin Says:

Nice Drew, bravo on the Eminem rap. Yo Dawg.

  16. Comely Says:

    2&5) nerlans? Really?

  17. The Rock Says:

I hate to be “that guy” Drew, but it should read “Wiltjer passes to Polson… Polson inside to Hood… Hood back out to *Wiltjer*… Three is good!” It’s an easy mistake to make. You know what they say; all white people look the same.

  18. Buckets Says:

That fat ass old ref is just pathetic. No wonder the officiating has been so terrible this year.

  19. Miguel Gerez Says:

Murphy Holloway is uniquely qualified to anoint Nerlens the best shot blocker in the history of basketball. He’s played them all…..ADavis…Noel..Varnardo….Shaq…Sam Bowie..George Mikan….

  20. Lampsteen Says:

Kudos on the Marshall “Henderson” Mathers, Prove Yourself line (sort of), Drew. Again, young man doin’ work!

  21. Marshall Henderson Says:

You will see me again in the sec tournament…with different results.

  22. TheDecker Says:

That was some REALLY REALLY bad officiating

  23. geez Says:

The grammar police… My god some of you people crack me up.WHO CARES. Oh wait did I use correct punctuation?? Oh no!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Reality Check Says:

Glad to see Marsha Henderson not get too stupid with the antics tonight. He did help several Cats up off the floor, as well. He is a major flop artist, however. Any Duke fans watching that game probably thought they were watching their own team every time he flopped.

  25. Bobbum man Says:

Come on Kyle 6’10 and 4 dunks in your career!?!?

  26. Section 135 Says:

Worst refs of the year by far! Your screen shot captures it perfectly.

  27. bluebayou Says:

I want a gif of Archie making the “talk talk” motion with his hands about Henderson at the free throw line

  28. Gavin S. Says:

    @Lampsteen……..Hilarious. Well done.

  29. Gavin S. Says:

I second the sentiment that we must have a gif created of Archie doing the yap yap yap pantomime at Henderson during the free throws. That alone made me forgive all the stupid decisions Arch has made this year.

  30. bigbluejon Says:

GO CAYTS!! That said, is Ole Miss really the 16th best team in the country?? They looked horrible last night. Uninspired play, no effort on defense, unorganized offense, jacking up 3′s. Have they played an easy schedule or did they just have an off night?

  31. RealCatsFan Says:

21, you mean you are going to dye your mohawk red for the tourney?

  32. Jim Says:

    Marshall who?

  33. BravoBigBlue Says:

The Cats are coming together as a team. Starting to have each others’ backs. Amazing win on the road against a ranked team and without 7 ft starter WCS. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the rest of the season for this team. Keep the momentum going. Go Cats!

  34. Beavis Says:

Personally,,,I will not watch much college basketball anymore until something is done about the officiating. Watched Tenn and Vandy for a while,,,,saw Stokes take one step,,,then a hop,,,then two more steps before putting it in the basket. Maybe the officials gave him a break because one of the Vandy players had him in a arm bar. Why do the officials let the defense use their hands and arms to impede the progress of the player with the ball ? Thats a foul. Moving screens,,,,please,,,just watch Duke or Indiana.

  35. emlang08 Says:

WRT Officiating, they attempted to impact the game the first 7 minutes of the Half. like most do, they attempt to make up for it late r on not so crucial fouls. This did not work tonight, and had we hit 1st half FT’s would have completely back fired. Marshall Wails like he is clobbered on Every Shot. Noel is KNOWN for playing awesome DEF without fouls, come on, 4 Fouls in the first 4 min of the 2nd Half refs???

Funny thing is, ESPN crew covering halftime (not covering the game) said UK should take it to Henderson on DEF end, he is standing straight up, every time we did in the 2nd Half, he fell down, Contact or not, LOL – WORST OFFICIATED GAME ON BOTH SIDES I HAVE SEEN…. Not to Mention, Worst CALLED GAME IN A WHILE…. “Henderson and White keeping them in the game” Really…. Did they see what happened when they let their teammates play??

  36. Beavis Says:

What is going through the official’s mind in this pic ? Get up stupid so I can call a foul on Harrow.

  37. lake hair don't care Says:

BIG UPS to J Hood for quality minutes in the first half. Solid play when we needed it due to fouls! Hopefully he can continue to scrape some minutes together

  38. Dwoos Says:

    19 that’s funny

  39. Where are You? Says:

Feeling ok, UK Freshmen? You are normally all over this Board after a game.

  40. bigbluelady Says:

What a doophass!!! He’ll be eaten alive by those Gators this Saturday!!!

  41. Richard Covington Says:

I’m 100 percent BLUE all the way , but have to give credit to Marshall Henderson. His antics are more than I can stand , BUT that’s how he motivates himself and gets in a teams head. He is good , but he appears to be a good sport having helped more than a couple of UK CAT’S from the floor with a pat and an are you OK comment !! Give him that , we must !!! Wild as he is , I wish he was a CAT. His energy is or would be contagious !!! GO CAT’S !!!

  42. Harrow for three! Says:

Harrow’s 3 to end the 16-0 run at the end of the game was by far the biggest clutch shot of the season. If he doesn’t make that I think the Rebs take the momentum they had all the way to a comeback win. Let’s give Harrow the credit he deserves for having the balls to step up and knock that down.

  43. cparkrookie15 Says:

They guy got his 15 minutes of fame. I watched several of his games before the Kentucky game and all of shits were nearly wide open last night he had someone in his Jersey the whole night and you saw what happened and how he shot. Goodwin did a great job last night on him Mays not so much but Goodwin did really well.

  44. Rixter Says:

This has been a decent team all year, and we’ve played big chunks without WCS, Beast Alex, Good Archie, and Aggressive Kyle.
You add thos guys to the mix, and you have the makings of a team that could go far in March

  45. RealCatsFan Says:

Yeah, I take back a little bit of the disparaging remarks I made about Henderson, but waving his shirt at the Auburn student section still came off as a bit douchebaggish. 43, Polson also did a surprisingly good job sticking with him for a while. I was truly worried that this kid was going to light us up. Props to the Cats for not giving him much daylight. Wish they could have done that against Turner – they will get their chance to redeem themselves this weekend.

  46. Will S Says:

Nerlens Noel is not human. He is not from this Earth. I’m 100% convinced. Would you guys say he’s a better shot blocker than Anthony Davis?

  47. Lisa from the Burg Says:

(#41) You really wish he was a Cat???? Marshall is trailer trash

  48. OleSeven Says:

Jim Burr was horrible the entire game…Hate to talk about refs…but in the words of Chris Carter…Come on Man….

  49. Stu Says:

Noel got elbowed at least twice and both were more flagrant
Than what Mayes got called for on Saturday. Especially the one
On the foul shot and the same sorry ref in picture above was
    Right there.

  50. SEC Officials Says:

No quality officials would make the trip. They were scared by Marshall “Drinkin The Bong Water” Henderson. You want good officials, get back in the top 25. Until then, you get Ensure, Dependables and Helen Keller.

  51. RealCatsFan Says:

Bring in the replacement refs! Couldn’t get any worse…

  52. Jp Says:

Are you ready to give Polson his credit? If he was allowed, he could score too. Harrow stinks.

  53. fatkidineastky Says:

“And just like that, the world forgets about Marshall Henderson”- yet one day we will be reminded…just like we have been of say a Teddy Dupay? We all know this kid is already on the radar of many law enforcement agencies. He will be the ward of some state under a Department of Corrections listing…..very very soon after his college days are over. He has that act….that….”Oh yeah…weed runs my world…” act. Just the exact mentality of say….Teddy Dupay!

  54. Bob Loblaw Says:

If I remember correctly, that screenshot was from when that Ole Miss player fell to the ground while holding onto the ball. No walk called.

  55. Dano Says:

Liked the way the team came out, especially in the second half. During the 5 minutes when Ole Miss made the 16-0 run we forgot to play D and rebound, AND relied on the jump shot. Fortunately, Harrow righted the ship and the team hit their FT’s down the stretch. I wish this team would take it inside when the other team starts a run. We always seem to start shooting quick 3′s.

  56. Blue Says:

There’s no doubt Julius Mays pump fakes a ton, but he is nowhere near the level of Antwan Barber. That dude was in his own league as far as pump-fakers go.

  57. UKJoe Says:

I’ve been saying our best lineup is Polson/Goodwin/Hood/Wiltjer/Noel now you guys finally realize I am right.

  58. Marty Says:

    Two quick points:
    1) Agree with most others that Burr is horrible. I guess he was too close to see this guy was out of bounds. Earlier in the second half he called a foul on Nerlens from the opposite side of the court and out on the wing when there was a ref standing under the basket right next to the play who didn’t blow his whistle.

    2) I went into the game trying to hate Henderson. While I don’t think he would fit at UK because he shoots too many bad shots, I was impressed with his sportsmanship. I saw him help guys off the floor at least 3 times. His attitude and the run in with Kennedy on the bench reminds me of Cousins. Most of us loved him, but we always knew there was a potential for some kind of immaturity in the course of a game.

  59. fatpat Says:

henderson welcome to the long line of people who said they wanted some and coulndt get it done.

  60. Kenny Says:

PLEASE put a Pic of Nerlens Blocking Marshalls shot late in game!!!I’m Gonna put it all over facebook and Twitter!!!!
    GO Cats!!!

  61. Blue Says:

Anybody get as upset as I did over how the referees seemed to protect Marshall Henderson? Not only did they do it when he had the ball, but they even did it when he was on defense. The guy can’t guard anybody without holding or bumping them, and they never once called it. But, if our guys so much as looked at Henderson wrong when he had the ball in his hand, it was a foul. That was the single worst officiated game I have ever seen, on both ends of the floor. Horrible, horrible, horrible officiating.

  62. Reality Check Says:

SEC Officials – Don’t ever say stuff like that again. I almost fell off my chair laughing and hurt myself.

    Great Post

  63. Musehobo Says:

I was telling my wife before the game what a douche Henderson is. I felt like I wasn’t making my point very well, but I could tell she thought he looked extremely douchey. Then she saw him throw ice. Then she saw him slam the ball down behind the half court line and get reprimanded by a ref and made to retrieve the ball (so funny!). Then his coach chews him out for walking away. Her jaw was dropped, and I was validated.

  64. Musehobo Says:

Speaking of pics, does anybody have a pic of “The Face” guy from Alabama vs. UK where he was holding up a fathead of him holding his own fathead (The “Inception” of fatheads)?

  65. Some Guy in Kentucky Says:

ESPNU is replaying the UK-Ole Miss game today at 2pm-4pm est.

  66. Jim Burr Says:

On that play in the picture, I could have called a foul on Ryan Harrow for a push, but I decided not to. So, then, the next obvious call would have been a travel, considering the player had full possession and fell to the floor…And since I didn’t call a foul, that would have been perfectly acceptable. But I decided against it. Then, the Ole Miss player was out of bounds, but I decided not to call that either.

I mean…I know I was 3 feet away with a better view than every person in the gym, but I prefer to let the kids play…That is unless a guard on the top of the key gets tapped on the hand with no lasting effect on the play…Then i call a foul. Obviously.

  67. buzzard Says:

I had feeling that Wiltjer could dunk!! All the men played hard. Great win CATS.

  68. Reality Check Says:

Everybody give Jim Burr a break. It can’t be easy calling a game when your Depends undergarment is completely saturated with urine and feces. He did the best his 108 year old body could do.

  69. Jp Says:

#57, I’ve been saying it all year too. If AP would play hard, he would start over hood but it’s almost FEB.

  70. UKJoe Says:

    69) Yup. Poythress is more talented but Hood plays harder. Harrow is more talented but Polson is more consistent and stable. Those 2 guys need to start and play 25-30min.

  71. W.W.B.B.N.D? Says:

I hope that everyone on the UK team, including the coaches, see that the offense runs better for everyone when it runs through Klye.

  72. Reality Check Says:

Running the offense through Kyle reminds me of two years ago when late in the season the team started running a lot of pick and pop plays with Knight and Harrelson.

  73. Rockfield, KY Says:

Great performances by everyone tonight, but Archie really changed my perception of him. He made defense his job tonight and let the offense come to him. Ended up being his best game and he definitely got in that that little $hit’s head. Someone HAS to get a gif of the smacktalk thing Archie did to Henderson. WELL DONE ARCHIE!!!

  74. Me Says:

Coach Cal’s reaction from the bench when Wiltjer dunked was awesome. He was the first one out of his seat to jump up and cheer

  75. Rockfield, KY Says:

    72. I thought the same thing last night. And this is about the time that team started clicking too.

  76. Aaron Craft's Rosacea Says:

#41- Lay off the drugs. You would really want that type of headcase playing for the Cats?
I loved how Brad Nessler said at the end of the game when Marshall was jacking up threes “That’s in his range”. HE WAS AT HALF COURT dumbass! It was like he was talking about Jimmer. 2 for 11 really?

  77. Marshall Henderson=Lennay Kekua Says:

    Did he ever really exist?

  78. Bluekzu Says:

You know, this isn’t the last time Henderson is going to play against us. He’s pretty much a punk, but mean-spirited trash talk after a loss is more of an Indiana thing to do..small-time. JMO

  79. Reality Check Says:

    Marsha, Marsha, Marsha…….
How come when Marsha flops he gets a foul called, but when Nerlens gets and arm bar from an Ole Miss guy and gets ridden down to the court, there is no foul called?

  80. Rixter Says:

I just looked at Ole Miss’ schedule…it was all smoke and mirrors. Their lone ‘quality win’ this year was Missouri at home. They lost to Indiana St. They lost to Middle Tennessee. Vandy took them to OT, and Auburn almost beat them.
I’m glad this looks good on our NCAA resume, but I’m still not that impressed.

  81. Reality Check Says:

Can’t wait til Nerlens Noel and Anthony Davis get to play against one another in the pros. It will be a Titan vs. a Titan.

  82. j3k Says:

Its going to be a rough #whitegirlwednesday for Henderson.

  83. Look Out Fireworks! Says:

Why doesn’t Polson ever get a mention in the post game entry? He may not have the loaded stat sheet, but he has improved a lot this year and has kept the team out of hot water on several occasions. Last night he had to take over the team in a hostile road environment against a ranked opponent after our back court went out with foul trouble. He responded well, maintained control, and did not put our team in a worse situation. In fact, with all the obstacles facing him last night, I’d say he did really well. Frankly, I’ve watched him put forth more effort in certain games than several of our highly rated players. I think he deserves some major love from BBN!

  84. Reality Check Says:

83-Agreed. Next years Senior night with Jarrod Polson will be awesome because the little fella has a lot of heart and hustle. He may not stuff the stat sheet, but I will be sorry when his time is up at UK.

  85. Can't figure it out.... Says:

Henderson acts like a punk, walks away from his coach, etc..

BUT, every time some players got tangled up and ended up on the floor, he was helping the UK guys up, and he jumped in the middle of the scrum with Noel late in the game to back his own player away.

He’s a tough one to figure out..

  86. Arlis Johnson Says:

This ref should be investigated by the NCAA! Not sure how helpful this would be since they are investigating themselves.

  87. NotSatire Says:

High tension games are purposefully called tight to try and stop any incidents. I think that’s a mistake. Just call the rules consistently.

  88. Laker Cat 18 Says:

    11. Archie did the same thing at Auburn.

  89. Jp Says:

    #83&84. agreed!

  90. Bus Says:

a .gif of that set of blown calls by Burr (from the photo above) would be awesome. Anyone have or seen one?

  91. ChattCat Says:

I am still trying to figure out how Henderson can throw ice into the crowd and not get ejected from the game.

  92. Reality Check Says:

91 – Agreed. When he did that he should have at least been given a technical foul. If a fan is caught throwing something on the court, they are generally escorted out of the arena.

  93. brain Says:

    KSR hasn’t forgotten him.

  94. inlinefor9 Says:

#91 I agree. There’s a big difference between seeing a piece and throwing it off to the side of the court vs. picking it up, looking into the crowd, and firing away. The guy is a joke, and had a UK player done something like that, say Demarcus Cousins, the entire nation would be talking about it, and he would have been T’d up.

  95. Don Says:

I really liked they way goodwin played, less driving with his head down and not running into the teeth of their defence and charging, if he keeps doing what he did last night we have a chance to ba a very good team.

  96. LuvDaCats Says:

yes, i also saw Henderson extend a hand to help a player off the floor, and several pats on the backs…….love to hate him,

  97. eightisnotenough Says:

Mind you this is the same official that walked off the court with time remaining a few years ago in the Big East Tourney.

  98. RespectMrPolson Says:

I never thought I would say this but I’m getting pretty comfortable watching Jarrod Polson run the point. I use to cringe a bit but now I look forward to seeing him check in. He’s done a super job this season. And #85, you got it right when you said Henderson is hard to understand. The kid has a bizarre personality but he plays with a lot of heart and that’s to be appreciated. I was prepared to label him as a troublemaking punk and then he goes over there and helps Archie up, seperated his teammate from Nerlens, and even knew when it was time to just sit down and shut the heck up. Personally, I hope he scores 50 on Florida. I’m still not a Donovan fan.

    94) yep. I don’t understand how this guy gets away with half this stuff without a T being called.

  100. Bluebloodtoo Says:

I have to say that I was impressed with Mr Henderson. The guy looked like he had a serious attitude problem going into the game, but he played well and I didn’t personally see anything that resembled inappropriate actions even though UK was giving him hell all night. He stayed focused and still made 19 points for his team. In my opinion, he deserves some credit for keeping his composure and doing what he could to keep his team afloat.

  101. jp7 Says:

Once again, the officials proved the point everybody has been making all season long-they are incompetent, egotistical and think everybody paid to see them. UK has had that fat, old guy far more than I ever want to see and the picture of the Ole Miss player laying on the floor with the ball in one hand and his arm draped over the out of bounds line RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE OLD, FAT OFFICIAL, who never makes a call just speaks volumes about how bad those guys really are. Then to make it worse, the Supervisor of Officials always takes up for them publicly. Really-get rid of these guys and get some quality officials in the game-they are ruining college basketball.
