Happy Monday, guys! I woke up on the right side of the bed this morning, so excuse any excessive perkiness. The Cats have a big week ahead with visits to Ole Miss and Texas A&M, so getchurself prepped by catching up on everything you might have missed at KSR College.
-You haven’t seen the GIF of Marshall Henderson enough, have you? Good, because Andrew McCarthy uses it in Monday’s basketball news and notes.
-When the Cats travel to Ole Miss on Tuesday, they’ll have a couple of demons to exorcise. David Mulloy examines the Cats’ past two trips to Oxford- here’s hoping the Cats can avenge the painful memories.
-We can never love on Nerlens too much. Brooks Holton looks at how Noel’s defense stacks up nationally, and man, the results are pretty.
-The women’s basketball team also had a successful weekend, beating LSU in a too-close-for-comfort matchup. Here’s Hayley Minogue with the victory recap.
-We’ve had a couple of big football weekends for visits, but are they all for naught? Matt Wheatley asks the question Do Visits Matter Without Commitments?
-The Kentucky baseball team is gearing up to start the season, and they’re already lookin’ pretty good. Nick Jourdan has a preview of the three Kentucky pre-season All-Americans.
-And finally, in a post a little different from the normal news, Tara Bilby explores how the phrase “student-athlete” came to be and how the NCAA has at times failed to put the student-athlete’s best interests at heart.
