The news of Kentucky and North Carolina renewing the annual series only opened the floodgates for Indiana fans to whine about UK being scared to play in Bloomington. They took to Twitter this morning to air out their best UK insults while crying over how much they miss us.
Let it go, Indiana. Respect what we have with North Carolina and move on.

first!
January 28th, 2013 at 12:18 pm
Oh man, I would be scared if I was Calipari too. I mean, we only hung #8 last year.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:19 pm
It makes perfectly good sense Brandon. We only schedule home and home series with teams/programs that are significant. Hasn’t UK beat you the last 21 out 25 times. Its not fun for us any more.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:19 pm
We’ve given IU a place and time… Barclay Center… 1st game next year.
IU is scared to leave Assembly Hall. hahahaha
January 28th, 2013 at 12:19 pm
All of these tweets looks similar…I think there all from the same person
January 28th, 2013 at 12:19 pm
Does it not occur to Indiana fans that their coach will not agree to a neutral site game, which also makes them appear afraid to play us?
January 28th, 2013 at 12:20 pm
Let them whine, their opinions aren’t even worth the internet bandwidth to record them. Who cares what they think?
January 28th, 2013 at 12:23 pm
Honestly, they have reason to act this way. But UK has reasons to act the way we do too. Looking forward to UNC.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:23 pm
I’ll be honest….Tom Creans forehead scares me….
January 28th, 2013 at 12:23 pm
When ASS Hall seats more than 20,000 Kentucky will consider Indiana. It’s a money thing Ass Hall lovers.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:27 pm
Haha Cream & the HOEsiers were quick to say no to Barclays. Lets not forget Calipari offered to play them twice in Indianapolis at Conseco Fieldhouse but they turned that down, and we can see why since little Butler already upset them there this year. That and Big Blue Nation shuts down every city they go to, so it becomes a home game in the heart of the HOEsier state. Hopefully a loss at Purdue will give them something to TWEET about, being 3rd in their own respective state. Maybe they’ll focus on that instead of the real team in the next state over.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:28 pm
Iam soooooooooo tired of IU running this old story into the ground! They keep acting like a jealous EX girlfriend! Why is he dating her? Iam better than her, girl he is just scared of me and can’t handle this! Pretty pathetic IU fans, get over us and move on with your life!
January 28th, 2013 at 12:29 pm
Indiana fan wants afternoon notes

let’s be clear about the beating – We aren’t scared to play you on the court, we are scared to be in your town because you have no manners or self restraint.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:35 pm
11 – “Cream & the HOEsiers” made me laugh out loud.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:40 pm
I am so sick of all these IU fans. They have sucked for the last 15 years and have been a Big 10 doormat for so long they forgot how to win with class. A good team last year and a great team this year and all their fans can do is gripe and complain about UK. Grow up you ftards and realize that all you do is compliment UK and show your jealousy of their program when you keep resorting back to an issue that isn’t important and doesn’t matter to anyone. Fact is, IU has proven over and over that the only big games they can win have to be played in Assembly Hall. That is the real reason Crean won’t agree to other venues because he knows that too.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:44 pm
#14 has it right. Barnhart and Capiluoto will never let our players or themselves be subject to what happened in Bloomington last season ever again.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:46 pm
Yeah, if IU could play the NCAA tourney at home with their obnoxious fans, they totally would’ve won the title last year!
January 28th, 2013 at 12:46 pm
Since 1990: UK has 3 National Championships and would have 4 if Anderson plays in 97.
Since 1990: The entire Big 10 has 1 National Championship. They’re sort of like the SEC in football if the SEC doesn’t when championships.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:47 pm
win*
January 28th, 2013 at 12:49 pm
I think Indiana fans have been thinking about us a lot since last year. A whole lot.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:51 pm
Is it just me or does iubb look like a typo. Saying it is even worse. Stay classy IUBB fans.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:54 pm
I’m starting to understand why Bobby Knight felt the need to bitch slap an IU player or faculty member every now and again. I wouldn’t mind bitch slapping some of their fans.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:55 pm
I noticed their fans didn’t rush the court when they beat Michigan State yesterday. It must just Kentucky envy.
January 28th, 2013 at 12:56 pm
Why are we not playing a home and home with IU? It does make us look scared, no other explanation. IU is a historic rivalry that never should have been dropped, and I totally blame Cal for letting it happen. We are UK, we should play UNC AND IU. No reason those games shouldn’t be at home either. Rather pay to see IU than Southwest North State U.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:00 pm
We don’t play at Assembly bc IU gets away with murder there, and it’s not beneficial to anyone but IU for us to play there. They won’t play us anywhere else bc they can’t win away from home. Just look at how they fuq’d Mich State at the end of the game yesterday. Simply put, IU needs us, we don’t need anyone.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:01 pm
IU fans won’t travel to the Barclay’s Center to play UK because leaving the state of Indiana would violate their parole. It is what it is.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:02 pm
They sound like a bratty ex girlfriend that broke up with her boyfriend then noticed he got together with another old girlfriend and now wants him back. CREAN called off the series, not UK.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:03 pm
I sort of understand why they turn down Barclays. Their hatred of UK unites them, and like every SEC road game, UK at Assembly is their Super Bowl. They only want their Super Bowl back. We took that away. Why? Because it is no where near our Super Bowl. UNC, UL, and opportunities to play neutral site games against Kansas, Duke, Michigan State are more significant. Still, those games are not our Super Bowl. Our Super Bowl is the Final Four, but we don’t always get there. However, we live with it instead of crying.
Further, I remember going to the IU/UK neutral court games. Those were fun games to go too and watch with a tournament atmosphere of one half UK fans and IU fans. It fitted the border war theme and made better marketing to fans that just don’t care about IU or UK.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:03 pm
Last 20 years, UK is 17-5 against IU. The only thing UK is scared of is being assaulted by IU’s classless, bitter, and jealous fans. I guess that’s what 20 years in the basement of a middling conference, combined with total irrelevance at every other sport will do to a fanbase.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:05 pm
25 Because we don’t want to and that’s all the explanation needed. We offered neutral, they said no, deal over. Move along. It only makes us look scared to the haters, and who cares what they think?
January 28th, 2013 at 1:07 pm
26. We used to only play at neutral sites. Freedom hall and conseco so cal suggested going back to.neutral sites for the fans and cream cried and said no
January 28th, 2013 at 1:07 pm
Last night WTHR TV in Indy interviewed Gary Harris’s father ( he was 2012 Mr.Basketball for Indiana)and the reporter even asked his father,”those IU fans were pretty rough on Gary today, what do you have to say? His father said “For the most part it was pretty interesting and funny until they got really vulgarand hateful, I mean I expected it out of the kids but grown men in their 30s and 40s…..C’mon it’s just a game!”
I’m an old guy and if I never see a game scheduled between UK and IU it wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all. Screw Crean and IU, because he will not tell the student body to tone it down a bit!
January 28th, 2013 at 1:09 pm
25 rather
January 28th, 2013 at 1:11 pm
this may have been said already, but dear IU, get a real arena instead of acting like your Hickory and maybe we would come there. Also, if UK is the scared group, why wont you play us at Bankers every year like Cal said he would do?
January 28th, 2013 at 1:11 pm
As much as I love uk & hate iu. It is complete bs we quit playin them. Gotta get that game back.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:15 pm
I don’t get iu fan logic….are they trying to say they have been a better program than unc and Uofl the last ten yrs or so? Bc uk has had loses to both of them and we still play them. No we want to play elite teams…not schools that win once every 3 decades. After all we said we would play them on a neutral court…that’s playing them, how it used to be. There’s even articles from crean prior to last season saying he thought it was best on a neutral court. Iu fans are a joke,
January 28th, 2013 at 1:27 pm
The IU/UK rivalry needs to be played…It’s great for college basketball, and even during that long stretch when IU was awful and Kentucky was good, I still circled it on the calendar and looked forward to the game every year.
The difference is IU fans, now, ONLY want the game to be played on campus sites because they know they are a different team when they get outside of Assembly Hall. They certainly didn’t complain during the 20 years when the game was played at a neutral site…Now all of a sudden it’s just asinine to think the game should be played that way? If IU fans had shown a touch more class last season, this series likely would have continued. But, as someone that attended the game, there is no way I’d want to go back there, as a fan or player. There’s a difference between creating a strong home-court advantage for your team, and being completely ridiculous, almost inhumane. Their fanbase forgot how to win with dignity, apparently, and that’s why this series didn’t continue.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:29 pm
Indiana still needs us for validation. If they wouldn’t act like convicts at their place, maybe the game would still be on.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:35 pm
IU does have a point, UK has played IU alot longer than we have played UNC and we agreed to play UNC home and home not at a neutral site. Bring back the IU series even if we have to play in Assembly Hall.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:36 pm
I seem to remember the reason we played them all those years was because Knight wouldn’t come to Rupp. What say you IU?
January 28th, 2013 at 1:37 pm
at neutral sites
January 28th, 2013 at 1:38 pm
IU fans want to storm the court every time they win now. Security had to hold several fans back yesterday that wanted to rush the court after beating Michigan State. Indiana employs the 1-3-1-3 defense at home. the last three being the refs.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:44 pm
It works both ways Hoosier scum. Clappy the clown and IU are scared to play away from home. Crean turned down three offers from Cal to play at a nuetral site. Crean knows that IU fans cant travel.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:44 pm
You ask anyone who follows college ball to pick 2 schools out of this list that you’d want to see play your team:
UNC
Duke
Kansas
Indiana
Louisville
Very very few are gonna go with UL and IU over Duke and Carolina, let alone Kansas.
IU needs us, not the other way around. And they make it very clear with the tweets and popcorn boxes.
I’d like to have IU on the schedule, but if given the choice between them or Duke/UNC every year, it’s a no-brainer for me. I’d LOVE to see a home-and-home with KANSAS before IU.
January 28th, 2013 at 1:48 pm
Please let us schedule them already to whip their bitchy asses in Rupp every other year in our stands, and theirs. #OccupyAssembly2015
January 28th, 2013 at 1:49 pm
Besides, UNC has been a much more relevant program in the last 25 years than IU. Bananarama was popular when IU won their last championship! lol
January 28th, 2013 at 1:55 pm
UK fans don’t let anything go either. U still hate Laettner. U keep posting the damn print from last year. Use your own advice and let it go!!!!!
January 28th, 2013 at 2:05 pm
Screw IU, drop them for good and pick up Memphis or Duke. Make IU suffer by not getting to play us, we make that game not them. We are everyone’s Super Bowl, if they want to play us it should be on our terms, remember “WE ARE BBN AND UK”
January 28th, 2013 at 2:05 pm
A couple reasons why a home and home was scheduled with UNC and will not be with IU.
- UNC fans for the most part are more respectful, and classy than IU fans. Carolina fans are more similar to UK fans, whereas IU fans are more similar to card fans. Which explains why I have a great hatred for IU and UofL, compared to a strong dislike for Carolina.
- Dean Smith Center capacity – 21,750
Assembly Hall capacity – 16, 618
A 5,132 seat difference. At a very moderate estimated price of $50 per seat, thats another $256,600. Idk what % of that UK gets, but its a significant difference.
January 28th, 2013 at 2:06 pm
I don’t hate Laetner because he hit the shot in that NCAA tourny game. I hate him because he intentionally stepped on Aminu Timberlake and showed what a punk bitch that he is. Hitting that shot was just him being a good ball player. Stepping on Timberlake was a total bitch move.
January 28th, 2013 at 2:15 pm
I can’t wait to watch the Wolverines crush IU this weekend. Maybe some of these stupid fans will shut up until the tourney. I still don’t see that team making the Final Four.
January 28th, 2013 at 2:31 pm
you stupid morons on this website are the biggest hypocrites of all time. you bash IU and say they are ‘obsessed’ with UK, yet the idiots that run this sorry excuse for a website, post multiple stories about IU every week. go to any IU or UL blog and UK is never mentioned because your team is irrelevant and no one cares about you. get a life.
January 28th, 2013 at 2:39 pm
Crean offered a four year deal to Cal……2 neutral, and 1 each home and home. Starting this year in Rupp.
January 28th, 2013 at 2:40 pm
Let’s have a home and home with UCLA or play them in Vegas/Indianapolis. Well, I guess we can wait until they stop sucking first.
January 28th, 2013 at 3:00 pm
rumor is IU will be giving their players rings to commemorate this scheduling victory…
January 28th, 2013 at 3:02 pm
Never play these losers again. They don’t deserve the privilege of us on their schedule.
January 28th, 2013 at 3:14 pm
IU just doesn’t get it. All the stories that leaked of all the bs they did to UK fans is what hurt them the most. Lol I love the get an actual arena this ain’t hickory comments.
January 28th, 2013 at 3:17 pm
53- Thanks for the two cents and stopping by ksr.
January 28th, 2013 at 3:22 pm
After watching the game at assembly hall, on TV last year, I fully support Cal’s decision not to go there again. The home crowd was well past partisan; they were hostile and even appeared dangerous to UK fans. It looked like they had an early release program at Hoosier prisons and gave the former jail birds free courtside tickets to the game…..it was the worst bush league behavior I’ve ever witnessed in college sports. Hoosier fans truly sucketh!
January 28th, 2013 at 3:56 pm
#53-If we are moronic and our team is irrelevant, when you visit and “remark”, what does that say about your team and you?
Get a dictionary and look up obsequious. Or if you an IU graduate, ask your night shift manager at the 7-11 what it means.
January 28th, 2013 at 4:13 pm
53.. UL and IU have blogs? We wouldn’t know because we wouldn’t waste our time on another teams site you dumb F*ck, when you come back to OUR (“UK FANS”) site be sure to congratulate us on being DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS punk!
January 28th, 2013 at 4:15 pm
by the way I love that first picture hahahahahhahaha I can’t wait for it to be posted again when IU makes a sweet 16 exit! but then again in bloomington that is just as good as a championship, I mean the players do get rings for it, afterall. #JOKE
January 28th, 2013 at 4:22 pm
IU fans makes me respect UL fans…
IU fans are nothing but dirty brown water trash (no its not a racist comment it means dirty toilet water)
January 28th, 2013 at 4:54 pm
Amazing, their sense of entitlement
January 28th, 2013 at 5:25 pm
Was in Assembly Hall when Knight hit Joe B. in the back of the head. We lost. But IU fans don’t like to recall the game in Dayton later that year. They’re still hurting over that one too!
January 28th, 2013 at 6:09 pm
I went to the IU/UK last year. On the way up we were flipped off a number of times, heckled as we waited on picking up our tics and in the stands it got even worse. Can’t really blame Cal and Co. for not playing them in Bloomington again. #BBN
January 28th, 2013 at 7:08 pm
We’re sorry Hoosier fans. Truly, we are. Let’s how can I put this? We respect other elite programs who have been there before and act like it. Win some more National Championships, get on our and UNC’s level as a basketball program, then call us. Maybe then, we will come visit your quaint little cracker box gym. Till then, we will meet you at Barclays Center. The ball is in your court IU.
January 28th, 2013 at 7:43 pm
Indiana fans don’t know how to act towards guests in their home. So guests won’t be joining them anymore. That simple.
January 29th, 2013 at 9:00 am
Screw Indiana. They are the ones who ultimately cancelled the series.
