Tuesday’s game at Ole Miss will be the Cats toughest road test all year. It doesn’t help that God will be cheering for the other team. Who would’ve thought that Ole Miss basketball actually had a celebrity fan like the omniscient Morgan Freeman? I would’ve guessed Larry the Cable Guy or the family from Duck Dynasty, but never Morgan Freeman.
Freeman didn’t go to Ole Miss, but grew up close by in Memphis. Now that he’s made nearly a gazillion dollars in his lifetime by simply talking (OK, so I’m exaggerating a little bit), he now owns a home in the nice small-town of Oxford, Miss. Let’s fight fire with fire and give Ashley Judd a call. Along Came a Spider Part 2?

This team now has nothing to lose, and they need to play that way, rebound the ball, and play defense. Allow The offense to run through Wiljer, and be sure Mays gets his shots. Goodwin needs to think pass first when he penetrates, and remember Noel keep your feet on the floor on defense when you are the primary defender. You can do this, just play to win, you having nothing to lose.

6. I don’t know #6 I feel like they do have a lot on their shoulders because they know the disappointment the fan base and school would feel for not making the tournament, there is a lot to lose, which could be a factor as to why they aren’t really playing to potential; too much pressure!

I wonder if Noel has any regrets about not picking syracuse? They are a top team and would like be favored to win it all if they had him. Now he may possibly be heading to the NIT.

12. That is a ridiculous question. Nerlens Noel could easily make the Final Four this year, and he’s on track to be the top pick in the draft. He has no reason to regret his choice. All of you folks probably predicted the NIT for us two years ago, too. I could store the perspicacity of this fanbase in a thimble.

First, Morgan Freeman is a native Mississippian from Coahoma County (Clarksdale). Obviously he did not go to Ole Miss because integration had not happened when he was of age to go to college. He has been the “voice” of the Ole Miss promos not to many years ago. He owns a bar on The Square in Oxford.

I remember Freeman doing a promo for the old “Turner South” cable channel and saying he was from the Mississippi Delta. I guess his family moved to north MS when he was young?
