Danville, KY native Josh Teater is currently Tied for 4th in the Farmer’s Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Teater has 3 more holes to play in the 3rd round (play was suspended for a day due to fog), where he trails Tiger Woods by only 7 strokes. Teater was a standout at Morehead State before taking his talents to the professional level. Teater’s performance today could help jump-start his young career; he currently only has one top-3 finish in his career.

Glad that Teater is doing well. Not sure why he gets so much more coverage on here than J.B. Holmes who actually went to UK and still sports the UK logo on his bag. Of course Holmes missed the cut this week, but none the less the love affair with Teater is odd. Must be friends with Jones or something

Being down by 7 strokes with 18 left to play is like being down by 25 at the 15 min mark in the second half. Doable,but not close!

I went to Morehead with Josh and also later went to UK. Josh IS a huge UK fan to clear the air. I now live a few miles from Torrey Pines and made it out to watch Teater today. Seeing the KY kid out there chasing Tiger was a really cool. He’s played a good tourney and hopefully will finish strong on the partial round tomorrow. #BBN #Morehead
