i say the cats are ready to prove to all the fair weathered UK fans that they are for real! I say they win by 17, 77-60 and the UK fans are happy and optimistic about the season….until Saturday, when they will once again turn on Tubby and the staff and go to there basements to avoid the sky falling that will occur as a result of the UNC game.

I don’t predict scores any longer. Back in the day I would have chalked this one up in the “W”
column before we even hit the court. Now, when we play these teams I have to sit on the edge of my
seat wondering if we are going to pull it out. Please don’t pull out the “parity” argument, it is
the most overused excuse by current UK fans. I will leave you with this thought, if there is so
much parity then why have UConn, Maryland, Duke, MSU, Florida and Kansas been to multiple final
fours since our last trip. BTW, I heard episode 15 and Jay Bilas doesn’t believe there is parity
either.

I live in SC, C of C isn’t as good as people are talking them up to be (maybe just trying to hedge their risks). They aren’t even the best or second best team in the Sun Belt. I am not predicting a score but if UK loses this one and people start talking about how good Charleston is and about parity I am going to puke. If they lose this one or even look bad, lets just call a spade a spade.

4) I don’t think the parity angle is that legit, either, but I will say this: time after time the last few years, I have watched Duke games and cheered out loud as midmajors play them even for at least a half. Duke usually pulls it out and gets a double digit lead in the last few minutes, but it is rarely a blowout.
The only definite blowouts I’ve seen this year have been by Florida, and clearly they have their struggles (I don’t think they have the same chemistry from last year, for some reason - arrogance?).
I want UK to win by 20 every game, but the W is enough for me, and in the games against the lesser opponenets, I always expect the W, even if we’re down by 10 points in the second half.

Bobby Perry scores in double digits, Morris tops 20 again (with a double double), and beyond that, all I’ll say is it’ll be a W by double digits. Probably in the 70s range for UK. Maybe more.

My main complaint with these upperclassmen is that they’re lazy. They stand on rebounds, they dribble too much and always believe they will overwelm the opponent with talent. They think they can play lazy and beat you from the perimeter. They simply don’t won’t to work.

I wish we could play with passion from start to finish. Just look at how Jasper looks at the floor with the ball. He looks like he is calculating the floor. I agree that the upperclassmen have a tendency to look lazy.

My goodness, I didn’t get to watch this game because I was reffing a Graves County vs. Murray middle school game, but I almost predicted the score, I said 77-60 and it was 77-61!
Sounds like Morris and Stevenson dominated the inside and the defense was much improved.

At least they took care of business by the end, but geez, that was ugly for much of the game. Jasper, Meeks, and Stevenson HAVE to get more minutes. They all make mistakes, but the increase in athleticism and energy is unmistakable. I really like Jasper. Every minute Perry, Thomas, and Woo get is wasted.
It’s a shame that Stevenson was so banged up that Tubby had to start Charade (my nickname for Thomas because he only faintly resembles a PF). What crap.

#164 I agree that Jasper, Meeks and Stevenson need all the minutes they can get Frosh or not. You earn your time and Perry, Thomas and Woo simply aren’t earning it. Simple as that. This seniority stuff has got to go when it’s getting in the way of what’s best for the team. I mean really what has Thomas every really did for this team on the floor in game situations? I just don’t get it.
