Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology is out, and like all the ones before it, it doesn’t matter. At all. But, if it were the real deal, Kentucky would be the 10-seed with an opening round game against Wisconsin. The Cats would then face Mark Lyons and Arizona to advance to the next weekend, where Anthony Bennett and UNLV, Dez Wells and Maryland, or Baby Stockton and Gonzaga would be waiting. Syracuse and Michigan State would be the likely Elite Eight foes.

I like tha bracket!

If Kentucky beats Alabama tonight, it will be their best win so far for their “tournament resume.” Bama has an RPI of 61, Maryland’s is 66.

That would be nice.

Of all the brackets this one is the toughest! I dont want any part of this bracket come March…. BTW, can someone loan me their razor?

Sounds perfect to me, if we were a 1 seed we would be lucky to have that bracket

4) What’s the Ziegler reference?
January 22nd, 2013 at 1:08 pm
Clint Hurtt is about to be pounded by the NCAA. Pat Forde’s is VERY quiet on this for a reason.

2) Seriously? Alabama as our best win? Damnit.

8 – unfortunately at this point, yes. Assuming it happens tonight.

NIT we going get beat tonite where have we beat one good team this year
January 22nd, 2013 at 1:18 pm
We haven’t beat one good team this team is weak and can’t shoot

Bad draw if this was to happen – first a very disciplined slow down offense in WI, followed by a totally different up tempo athletic team in AZ (oh and they’re good).
hope we can stack up some wins in the next few weeks and get off this 10 line. would like to see us get up to a 6 at the lowest, and 4 at the highest by year end. B Knight and crew made their run from the 4 hole…just sayin.

A veteran Wisky team would feast on our young guards. pass.

I suspect that Wisconsin, or whoever the 7th seed might be would be angry in March to know that their opening round game was with UK. Have to face UK at that time might not be as easy as some of the media types seem to think.
January 22nd, 2013 at 1:38 pm
I’ll take this. We can take Wisconsin and Arizona is not as good as people believe. Way overrated. However, Gonzaga, Butler, Wichita St, and VCU all are legit. Gonzaga’s size would give us problems I think. Kelly Olynyk vs Noel would be fun to watch.

To be National Champs Kentucky must face the best. So if they want to put them against Kentucky in the first round or in the final four, bring them on.
January 22nd, 2013 at 3:12 pm
I don’t care what seed we are just as long as they put us in Dayton.
