One thing the Cats will have to do to avoid an upset tonight? Clamp down on the perimeter. Alabama is shooting 45.5% on threes in conference play, making them the deadliest SEC team from behind the arc. Their biggest weapon? Sophomore guard and suspender enthusiast Trevor Lacey, who leads the SEC in three-point field goal percentage at 45.5 percent (35-of-77) this season. In addition, he has knocked down a league-best 55.6 percent (10-of-18) of his three-pointers in SEC play.
Alongside Lacey are Trevor Releford, Rodney Cooper, Levi Randolph and Andrew Steele. Releford is averaging 16.2 points per game off 49% of his shots from the field and he and Lacey combined for 29 points in Alabama’s 50-49 win over Texas A&M on Saturday.

A little clarification for you all…
Lacey is shooting 45.5% from deep on the SEASON. In SEC play, he is shooting 55.6% and the team is shooting 45.5% from beyond the arc. Makes perfect sense.

Bama, on the entire season, is shooting .363 from the 3. Kentucky, also on the season, is shooting .357 from the 3.
Bama averages a 2 more steals per game and slightly better freethrow shooting but UK leads them in every other category. Inclucing 12 more points per game.
