UK is hosting another big Football Recruiting weekend in Lexington beginning tonight. And when a visitor arrives on campus, you might wonder what they see. The answer is above. Recruit Jeff Badet tweeted out what was awaiting him in his hotel room upon arrival and as we see it, includes lots of literature, envelopes and other goodies. The pillows suggest to me the Hyatt (my regular weekend residence when in Lexington) and the Wildcat vibe is strong. This certainly is not the most fun part of an on-campus visit (at least one would hope) but it beats being greeted by a smiling Ryan Lemond, as visitors to the KSR Radio Show are often subjected to on a daily basis.

I kinda figured student-athletes would bunk with current players, to jump-start some camaraderie, just like other students do when visiting a college they’re considering. When I went through picking a college, and granted that’s been 15 yrs ago, I bunked with a student in my field who gave me my tour, the lay of the land, advice, etc.
Maybe there’s something in the NCAA rules that prevents athletes bunking with their (hopeful) new teammates? Anyone know?

I believe this is a NCAA violation. The giving of papyrus, letterhead, and sweet nothing letters. Exceeds the permissible items list such as bagels, powerade, and granola bars.

Ryan Lemond needs to grow a set and lay the smackdown on Matt’s a$$. There is no way I could take those smart a$$ comments that Matt is constantly giving to Ryan. Grow a set Ryan!!
