Kentucky fans had enough of the Manti Te’o love after he dominated the television coverage during Kentucky’s basketball game at Notre Dame. But as annoying as it was, Te’o's inspirational story was touching. He played every single down for the love of his life, who tragically passed away at the start of the season. Day in and day out, he worked his tail off because that’s what she wanted. It was all for her.
Yeah, about that.
She’s not real. She never was.
Deadspin has an unbelievable report about Teo’s girlfriend and how she never existed. No tragic death. No birth. No life. No girl. We were all duped. College football’s story of the year was a hoax.

Well, I think “Manti Te’o” doesn’t exist either – in the biggest game for ND in the last 25 years, I never heard his name. Beginning to think that was just a cardboard cutout of “Manti Te’o” at the Heisman show anyway.

Sounds to me like a catfish episode. He met her online, never actually met her cause it was a made up profile. Her dieing was how the person who made the account up was trying to get away from it, probably didn’t know it would blow up like it did.

On Dec. 26, Notre Dame coaches were informed by Manti Te’o and his parents that Manti had been the victim of what appears to be a hoax in which someone using the fictitious name Lennay Kekua apparently ingratiated herself with Manti and then conspired with others to lead him to believe she had tragically died of leukemia. The University immediately initiated an investigation to assist Manti and his family in discovering the motive for and nature of this hoax. While the proper authorities will continue to investigate this troubling matter, this appears to be, at a minimum, a sad and very cruel deception to entertain its perpetrators.

Manti Teo and Lance Armstrong = Sociopaths. I had been saying it for years about Armstrong, but all I got was ridicule and how could I say something about a cancer survivor and phenomenal athlete. I also imagine all those steroids gave him the cancer. I love that this happened at Notre Dame. It makes me so happy. I loath Armstrong almost as much as I do Notre Dame.

Manti had stated in the past that he met this girl in 2009 after the Stanford game. Evidently that was a lie. I find it really hard to believe any NCAA football star has to resort to the internet to meet women. It was either an attempt to enhance his Heisman chances or she was created to be his “beard”.
