I am a little worried what uncle matt said last night: “kissing like a 7 year olds in church camp”?
Also Louisville you’ve earned #1. Now you know what it’s like to have all that pressure that BBN goes through EVERY year with EVERY future game. Just sayin’!
I think we will win tonight by 2 biggins’
Anymore news if the house has passed the UK upgrades?
January 15th, 2013 at 9:57 am
Anyone know when College Game day tix go on sale?
January 15th, 2013 at 9:58 am
Speaking on not improving on Free Throw %, look at D Cousins last night. 12 for 12. Tell me he hasn’t improved since his time at UK. It can be done. Looks like Noel is also improving.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:00 am
Anyone notice anytime KSR does a football piece if you go to Cats Illustrated you can find the post copied verbatim with player pictures added and thats it?
January 15th, 2013 at 10:03 am
Anyone heard about Jay?
January 15th, 2013 at 10:04 am
4 – I too have noticed that. Can these KSR writers not do their own research and create an original post? Oh no, that would take too much time and effort, much easier to log into Cats Illustrated and use the ol copy and paste.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:05 am
Looking forward to this show today!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:06 am

January 15th, 2013 at 10:07 am
Just got some new headphones for the desk at work. Matt, your nose whistle sounds great!!!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:08 am
Last year I had to listen to the UK-UT game on my phone using an app I downloaded in a panic because the power went out in a freak accident. I am hoping to watch the game on TV tonight while donning my UK Snuggie instead, and watching UK get a much-needed victory tonight. Let’s go Cats!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:08 am
is ryan on today? remember ryan, your tasks for today.
1) Add value
2) Pay attention
Not too hard, but I have faith you can come around
January 15th, 2013 at 10:09 am
1 Word will help this team drastically
“ZONE”
January 15th, 2013 at 10:10 am
Harrow took 3 HORRIBLE SHOTS after we came back that killed momentum
January 15th, 2013 at 10:11 am
Well put Mr Pratt. Players do not call out teammates to the public!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:13 am
MAtt you didnt ruin football recruiting, but that recruit did not want his name out that he was on campus. Which you ruined…
January 15th, 2013 at 10:14 am
Archie needs to watch film of Joe Johnson. That should be his game.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:15 am
Smooth his back out too.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:15 am
15 If the effort and communication is not there a zone will not work…if the effort and communication is there we dont need to play zone…
January 15th, 2013 at 10:15 am
18 which recruit?
January 15th, 2013 at 10:16 am
I’ll betcha a nickel that Mr. Pratt says that this team will get it together by tournament time and be a force….they’re still learning is what I’m hearing him say.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:16 am
Mike…what’s wrong with our fast break?…
January 15th, 2013 at 10:16 am
Kyle needs a mile wide mean streak.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:16 am
Marcus McWilson
January 15th, 2013 at 10:18 am
I wish UK would wear these vintage uni’s for a game or two. It would be awesome!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:19 am
Matt just sometimes doesnt realize its sometimes better to just keep your mouth shut…
January 15th, 2013 at 10:20 am
Mr. Pratt. Has Ryan Lemond been a disappointment this season?
January 15th, 2013 at 10:21 am
Crossfire Hurricane on HBO
January 15th, 2013 at 10:21 am
Question for Mike… What’s your point of view of tonights game? That’s my point of view.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:21 am
27, Those are sweet…However, they are from the ABA’s KY Colonels if I’m not mistaken.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:22 am
that’s a Ky Colonels uniform…
January 15th, 2013 at 10:22 am
Matt, Rolling Stones show was Crossfire Hurricane on HBO
January 15th, 2013 at 10:23 am
LOOK WHOSE #1. You are gelous. Just admit. Maybe UK can try next year… hahahahahah GO CARDS!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:23 am
Alex Poythress reminds me alot of Scotty Hopson. All the potential in the world but seems to just lack giving the effort. I hear a lot of the same grips about Alex as I got from UT fans about Scotty
January 15th, 2013 at 10:24 am
An “L” tonight and we can officially hit the panic button.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:25 am
Add “orange” to the words that make Matt really sound like he is from Eastern Kentucky. Also instead and Tennessee.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:25 am
35…Yes, we are so “gelous” of your lack of knowledge on how to use “who’s” and “whose”. Your (you’re) a JENYUS*!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:25 am
wimpycats will be crying voluntears tonight!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:25 am
35- When was the last time U of L won a championship? That’s right, over a quarter of a century ago.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:26 am
They’ll be a force in the tourney? Lol That requires the team to actually make the tourney. And right now it ain’t looking good.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:26 am
How the heck can Ryan Harrow call anyone out? He basically gave up on the team early in the season.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:26 am
Matt might keep up with attractive women, but attractive women don’t keep up with Matt!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:27 am
Maybe we should give the husband/boyfriend of the woman wearing orange all the heat. If my wife tried walking out the door wearing orange when we were going to a UK basketball game, I’d make her go back and change.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:27 am
The row behind uk’s bench looks like a garbage truck workers convention. Like that puke inside of a pumkin orange.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:28 am
Gotta love that old ABA red, white & blue ball as well as the Colonel unis!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:30 am
Jon hood, this year’s Perry stevenson
January 15th, 2013 at 10:34 am
Rondo messed around and got a triple-double, today was a good day.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:39 am
Has the showthread crashed? Mine is stuck on 49.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:41 am
Mike…when will we utilize the fast break more??
January 15th, 2013 at 10:41 am
Who did the “calling out” of teammates?
January 15th, 2013 at 10:42 am
Matt, It sounds like a father talking to his son when Mike says your name. “Matthew” sounds like you do nothing but disappoint him…..
January 15th, 2013 at 10:42 am
Matt…NO way in hell is Goodwin a top ten pick in the draft..!!!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:43 am
I’m a student at GCHS this is the 2nd day in a row that we have had a threat on our schools. Yesterday we had a bomb threat today an intruder threat. Please keep us in our thoughts and prayers.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:43 am
4 and 6 – I’m glad KSR keeps me from having to go to Cats Illustrated or any other site. I come here bc the posts are funny, and I prefer a one-stop shop for all my UK news. So whine all you want about copying and pasting, but most of us couldn’t care less. And if you don’t think they put enough time and effort in on this site, why are you here?
January 15th, 2013 at 10:44 am
bc I keep up with UK news more than I keep up with Louisville news!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:45 am
#52, Ryan Harrow
January 15th, 2013 at 10:46 am
Things that will have/will lasted longer than U of L’s time at number 1:
Yokozuna’s time as WWF Champion
Mambo #5′s time at the top of the charts
Randy Moss’ time with the Vikings….for the second time
Mayfly lifespan
George O’Leary’s time as Notre Dame’s coach
The time it takes me to get a Powerball ticket…and lose
2012 Phenomenon
The bacon shortage
Billy Donovan’s time as the Magic Coach
January 15th, 2013 at 10:46 am
I think G-Unit needs to be the football recruiting contributor. He’s been giving us more info lately than anyone.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:47 am
Mike Pratt knows what he is talking about on the NBA draft situation and he just mentioned what I’ve been saying about being a “visitor” and have a “career”. He said it better than I have been saying it. I feel you are hurting the guys that shouldn’t be going by pushing them out the door.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:47 am
Wow, running the KSR ad on iHeart that mentions Joker.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:48 am
may want to update that “new era in UK sports” ad
January 15th, 2013 at 10:48 am
Update your ads Matt you still run a Ksr ad labeling joker as a new era
January 15th, 2013 at 10:48 am
Providing the newest and latest info for KSR’s commercials
January 15th, 2013 at 10:49 am
When I was in elementary school the high school behind me had a bomb threat 2-3 times a week.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:49 am
So far Camp Cal seems to be working as good as the fat camp I went to at Mcdonald’s. I really don’t think Alex Poythress is “getting on board” with the constant screaming throughout every game. Just a thought.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:50 am
Matt.PLEASE get Joker’s name off that info for the show!!…This program is terrible because of his tenure here…John Calipari and Mark Stoops !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 15th, 2013 at 10:50 am
Has this ever been addressed: why is there no row I in Rupp?
January 15th, 2013 at 10:50 am
i had bomb threats on april 20th my fresh & soph years of high skool. that was 12 years ago, matt. not that far off from you
January 15th, 2013 at 10:50 am
IT HAPPENED ON THIS DAY in 2009: Jodie Meeks scores 54 points and breaks Dan Issel’s all-time single game scoring record in a 90-72 win over TN. I think this deserves some recognition today.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:51 am
Matt doesn’t put expectations on the team. He is a guy with a website. We can all think for ourselves, unless you don’t have a brain.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:51 am
The Greenup student actually said thoughts and prayers. It’s ok to say the word prayers, Matt.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:51 am
Put him on the bench? As if we have other players to stick in there
January 15th, 2013 at 10:53 am
Peyton Siva is the only player in the country that’s in foul trouble before the game starts.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:53 am
“World Class Glass”
January 15th, 2013 at 10:55 am
How about a World Class Glass mugshot?
http://mugshots.com/US-Counties/Illinois/Cook-County-IL/Gerald-Glass.240236.html
January 15th, 2013 at 10:56 am
I loved Chris Jackson until he wouldn’t stand up for the anthem. Drazen Petrovic was another incredible shooter from that era.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:56 am
Ask Mike to tell you how big of dumps San Antonio,
Indy and others were during his ABA days and pre-NBA.
Louisville was a much better city then.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:57 am
If a caller said that Nerlens should be the only one to leave for the Pros, Matt would have treated him like he was an idiot.
January 15th, 2013 at 10:58 am
Welcher should foul more. What is is doing not working
January 15th, 2013 at 10:58 am
Hope to see all of the KSR family at the Roundball Bash after the UK-LSU game, Jan. 26 in the Hilton’s Bluegrass Ballroom. Check it out at roundballbash.com
January 15th, 2013 at 10:59 am
Matt, the whole team’s defense is turrible. Kyle is the worst of the bunch but as a team we can’t stop the ball off of the dribble, leave shooters wide open and we can’t defensive rebound either. Cal and others singling out Kyle for his defense and not singling out others for their piss poor defense is ridiculous. The WHOLE team can’t play defense.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:00 am
Not the same Gerald Glass…looks like he is World Class indeed…
January 15th, 2013 at 11:00 am
Mike Pratt in a member of The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, along with the leading scorer in Kentucky Basketball history, Dan Issel #boom
January 15th, 2013 at 11:00 am
81. LOL. That’s funny right there.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:01 am
The Geico commercials about your money clip not having hands is the single most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard. I’d love to go to the ad agency that writes their commercials and slap each one of them in the face.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:01 am
HAHA…..@kbmcray deleted his twitter account after he called Doron Lamb a retard and was. getting blown up by UK fans
January 15th, 2013 at 11:02 am
I’m glad we have Steve Cathan to tell us how apparel sales were this Christmas.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:03 am
I may be wrong, but show me where cal has PUSHED someone out the door that wasnt ready. You cant make these kids stay when they have it in their heads that they are nba ready. I wished the ones that arent projected lottery picks, would stay, however they have to make the final decison. Go big blue!!!!
January 15th, 2013 at 11:06 am
Update : there was a threat to the whole district. Gun threat. Ambulances and fire trucks here and they shutdown is highway 23. We are still on lockdown they say there are helicopters outside as well.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:07 am
if the kids weren’t ready then the nba wouldn’t pay them millions of dollars. that makes them ready.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:07 am
Anyone know when College Game Day tickets will be available?
January 15th, 2013 at 11:08 am
What if Alex, Archie, and Willie come back and we have 8-10 draft picks next year?
January 15th, 2013 at 11:09 am
Woohoo! Bomani Jones is coming on to sell more T shirts!
January 15th, 2013 at 11:11 am
Great show today! Mike is always spot-on in regards to his analysis and observations on the team, as well as funny as hell! Michael will definitely be making the #ShitSaidOnKSR this week.
“I know the Cube.”
“Bull your neck.”
“Matthew.”
January 15th, 2013 at 11:11 am
aaron, andrew, marcus, dakari, james, archie, alex, willie, julius?, wiggins?
January 15th, 2013 at 11:14 am
94. Alex better cut the panties and put on his big boy pants if he even wants to sniff success at the next level.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:16 am
I’m going to see Eric Bledsoe in Indy next month. Lob City vs the Tyler Hansboroughs!
January 15th, 2013 at 11:17 am
Becca Greenwell shots 3′s cause there aint no fours
January 15th, 2013 at 11:18 am
I’d like to see a magic show at halftime at Rupp. Just sayin’
January 15th, 2013 at 11:20 am
Anyone hear me on the Louisville/UConn broadcast last night say that Nerlens Noel was one of the best players in college basketball? Right after I said he was overrated in the same day.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:21 am
56 I agree with you. That’s the beauty of KSR, the humor plus I don’t have to go to 50 different sites.I think we have the obligatory complaint from rival sites on these posts. Jealous much???
January 15th, 2013 at 11:25 am
98. I wonder if Cal is going to have to adopt a new style of handling him like he did with Harrow. It seems to have worked. It really sucks to have so many fragile players on this team. MKG wouldn’t approve.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:25 am

You are “gelous.” Typed like a true cardinals fan. Thanks “CardinalTime” for not disappointing us. I knew you’d come through with the stupid, and you did.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:26 am
#97 add Ryan Harrow as well.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:26 am
Have you ever noticed that when Matt welcomes a new caller and has to say there name a second time he is usually yelling at them. Example: Steve in Owensboro, Steve (no answer)STEVE!!!
January 15th, 2013 at 11:27 am
Don’t forget Darius as a zone buster in the middle of the zone
January 15th, 2013 at 11:27 am
Rockfield, KY – Thanks man, I work hard to get this info.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:28 am
I think this team struggles against the zone because we hold the ball and look around too much. The key to breaking down a zone is making the D run around. That starts with ball movement , and penetration when it’s available
January 15th, 2013 at 11:28 am
And it’s “Look who’s“, not that abomination of the English language to which you have subjected us.
You see, this is why fans of that little junior college down the road are constantly (and for good reason) ridiculed by those of us who are fans of the superior program that is UK basketball. Not only can your program not challenge ours, your fans are no competition in the old smarts department; but then again, what would we expect from people who think flat-billed caps and line beards are a good look?
January 15th, 2013 at 11:29 am
104. You got that right buddy. Tough love works and it seems to be Cal’s technique right now with Poythress. I’m somewhat worried it may shut him off completely. Some kids respond different to authority/coaching than others.
January 15th, 2013 at 11:30 am
Facts are to KSR as correct grammar is to Cards fans
January 15th, 2013 at 11:35 am
I’ve coached at the high school level and I always ran plays against the zone in which the players “screened the zone.” I got most of this knowledge from watching Bob Huggins at a coaching clinic. The plays I learned brought my team instant offense against zones. It really was too easy to get open looks — that were sometimes right at the rim. For the life of me I don’t understand why Cal doesn’t screen the zone.

Why would UNC be a ‘compromise’ school for Wiggins? Do his parents just hate Kentucky? If they are using another school as a compromise to not get him to go to Kentucky, its not in the best interest of the kid, so do his parents want him to go to FSU because they went there or just so he won’t go to Kentucky?
January 15th, 2013 at 11:43 am

I blame the problems with this year’s team on Sean Woods. He stole their swag with his comments to the media prior to the MSU game. If you go back and watch the first two games of the year you will see a different confidence and “swag” than the doubtful faces you see now. Woods said they acted like they had a sense of entitlement, well duh that is what makes BBN what it is. I want my team to feel entitled to dominate their foes. You cant be great if you don’t feel you are better than the rest. They must have took his foolish words to heart because other than Noel, they show no sense of entitlement to the BBN. Even the players that are performing are not exhibiting the same confidence and “swag” that the did in Big Blue Madness, Blue White games, exhibitions, Maryland, and Duke games. Don’t let Woods steal our swag!!
